National Property Inspections

It went well. We were quite happy with the other one thing a little bit rush. We had good experience. It was reasonable.

The inspection the second home went well. Jason explained everything that he found to us while we were there in person, and the report we received was just as thorough. We received our inspection report the same night for both properties. He is a really pleasant and patient guy, and put up with all of our first time home buyer questions, no matter how silly they may have been.

Overall the inspection went great.- He started the inspection on the second floor, moving from room to room, inspecting electrical switches, outlets, door latches, door movement (do they swing freely, etc.), structural integrity (any stress cracks), windows (movement), checked for window screens, checked for any water damage, checked bathroom water pressure, hot/cold, checked for leaks, cracked tile, grout, caulking, etc., then went into the attic inspecting the sheathing and roofing nails for any evidence of leaks or poor air circulation/corrosion, insulation, etc.- He then went down to the first floor, checked for any structural issues, inspected the kitchen, ran dishwasher, checked faucets, refrigerator (temp, water/ice dispenser, etc.), oven and stove-top, floors, cabinets, gfic outlets, switches/lights, inspected the laundry room, sink, floors, lights/switches/outlets, went through the other rooms looking for the same things.- He finished the interior of the home inspection in the basement. He inspected the furnace, water heater, electrical outlets, showed us where the main water and gas shut-offs were, explained the piping and duct work runs, inspected for any structural issues, inspected for any evidence of rodents/insects/etc., went through the electrical panel, etc.- Jason then went to the garage, checked structural integrity, went up into the attic above the garage, determined which gfic outlet the exterior outlets were on and pointed it out to me, etc.- FInally Jason went around the exterior of the house inspecting the brick, mortar, walks, driveway, roof, electrical, water, HVAC, deck, windows, etc. Bottom line is that he was very thorough and took his time, didn't act rushed, and was willing to spend the time to make us feel comfortable in understanding the overall condition of the house.
