They came out for an emergency and installed the pump. They did a good job installing the pump. I wanted them to install the backup pump, and they were charging me a higher price than another company. They tried to pressure me into purchasing it from them, because they said I signed a contract with them.

The workers from Mr. Rooter did a fine job. They were good. The pipes were 30 feet below the yard, so they had to dig up to replace it. It was a messy job. We have had no problems with the work done so far. However we did have some issues with the price. They initially quoted us a price but they kept changing it. We had to hold them firm on the original price that was quoted. Finally, we worked out an agreement that was mutually acceptable. I would recommend that people get a quote in writing. Our quote was verbal so it was easy for them to get wishy-washy with their price. I would probably not use them again in the future.

The man that did the job was on time. He took his time and did the job right. He made me a video of how the relined pipe looked. It's been 3 years and we haven't had any problems. The work that they did came with a 20 year warranty. I was happy with everything except the price.

They did an outstanding work and they left my place clean.

They were very professional and brought the tools that they needed with them. They solved the problem within minutes and were very thorough in examining our property and determining if additional problems might be looming out there. Mr Rooter proposed solutions that worked and their prices were reasonable.

The work went very well. They responded very quickly. I first called them on a Wednesday night, and they showed up the next morning to do the work. It took about three hours for them to remove the old pumps and to install the new pumps. The techician was very professional and very knowledgeable.

He told me he could fix the grout, but that I could fix it myself and then he told me how to fix, which is a lot cheaper.

I was really pleased with their service. They were prompt and seemed to know what they were doing, and were very professional. They got the leak fixed.

The entire job went very well. The plumber arrived the morning after I initially called them. The plumber was very professional, clean, and personable. He came across as being very knowledgeable. He did not push anything on me or try to hard sell me on anything. He simply laid out the options to me and let me decide how I wanted to proceed. Total time to remove the old water heater, install the new water heater and water softener took about 5 hours. The service technician was very careful to clean everything up after he was done. He also wore booties over his boots when in the house. He checked everything for leaks. In the end, I had a very well functioning hot water heater and water softener with no leaks and no mess. I was very pleased with the work and the professionalism of Doug Anderson, the Service Technician. It's hard for me to rate this company on price because I did not shop around, but the work was outstanding.

They did a good ad and the price was right.

The dispatcher called and said that Tony was ready to come, and would that be alright to come early. He was half an hour earlier that originally expected. He explained that because it was a soft brass faucet, it would leak again in the future. He needed supplies, so he came the next day to replace the part. He removed the entire pedestal sink and showed me that the pipe was clogged about 1/3 with calcium deposits. The new faucet has a lifetime guarantee. He was respectful, cheerful, and did a really good job!

My sump pump failed during a bad rainstorm. I needed a replacement and I needed it very quickly. Despite being very busy, Mr. Rooter responded within about 4 hours. They had a replacement pump on the truck and completed the work very quickly. Dave was very professional and even took care to put covers on his shoes to keep dirt out of the house. The only thing that bothers me is the price. $600 is very expensive for a sump pump. But, I had to pay for a very quick response and they had a replacement pump stocked on their truck.

Problem quickly assessed. Replaced P-trap. Price was clearly stated ahead of time. Work done in timely, professional manner. Must note that this specific repair person/plumber was very professional and timely. A subsequent experience with Mr. Rooter was with an employee who did not show up for scheduled appointment(s). However, this particular experience was very positive.

After having a huge runaround with another company, Mr. Rooter came out and within forty-five minutes, he was done with the work. He was very professional, gave me a price before he started, and finished the work in no time.

No one ever showed up, nor did we receive a phone call for the camera exam. I called a week later to ask about the follow up and was told they would be here Friday morning. They called Friday morning and canceled until Monday. They called Monday and delayed arrival time by 2 hours. When "John" finally arrived he was more interested in chatting then doing his work, "If you cant dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS!" He had to leave in the middle of our job to return to a previous job in order to retrieve a piece of equipment he needed, and had left behind! After 6+ hrs of our time, he said we needed a $2200 repair. He wrote up an estimate, asked for a signature but failed to leave a copy of it, or a written report of what he found, nor a video record of what he saw with the camera. I called 30 hours later to cancel the estimate and was told by John that we were responsible for the charges he had incurred thus far, NOTHING had been done. These people are shysters!

My experience with Mr. Rooter was horrible. I was by myself, at night, with a baby and a flooded basement. When the technician from Mr. Rooter arrived and assessed the situation, I was told that I needed a new sump pump. I then asked him to discuss this with my husband over the phone. My husband asked the technician if there would be an increase in price since it was after hours. He also told the technician that he would be calling other plumbers in the morning to make sure we got a fair price. Upon hearing that, the technician became very upset and walked out on me. I interpreted that as if we were not receiving a fair price. It was a very stressful situation that was made worse by the way I was treated by Mr. Rooter. When I called the main office to file a complaint I was offered no apology or help.

At the time (July 2003) I was quite happy with the repair. However, this Spring the faucet has a major leak (did not leave hose on thru winter). At the time I thought the new faucet mechanism was not very sturdy, but did not say anything about it. I will try another plumber on A's list and make sure the faucet seems solid. Work did have a 90 day warranty, but doesn't help now.

I was most impressed with their responsiveness. The service rep arrived within an hour from when I called. With a nasty sewer backup, this is what mattered most to me. He did the job and cleaned up afterwards. He was a personable guy. I enjoyed talking with him. Well done!

Three was a little confusion with the payment method. The work was okay.

Excellent - they were on time, wore shoe covers, were thorough, professional, and charged us for ONLY the camera scope, which they told us the amount up front. We were told otherwise that we wouldn't have been charged anything since they found nothing wrong (the problem/clog worked itself out before they arrived) - even for their time to come out to the house. We were glad we decided to get the camera scope so we were able to compensate them at least a little something for their time and service!

WHEN THIS COMPANY WAS CALLED, THEY ESTIMATED THE TIME OF ARRIVAL TO BE WITHIN 2 HOURS. THEY DID ARRIVE WITHIN THE TIME FRAME. THE WORKER LOOKED AT THE SUMP PUMP FOR MAYBE 5 MINUTES, FOUND THE PROBLEM, & FIXED IT QUICKLY.

THE WORK PERFORMED WAS VERY GOOD. WE HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED. THERE WAS SOME DEBRIS LEFT FROM THE SOLDERING THAT WAS NOT CLEANED UP. THE OVERALL WORK WAS GOOD.

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. WE HIRED MR. ROOTER TO PERFORM CLEANOUT AND REMODELING IN OUR BASEMENT AFTER IT FLOODED. THEY WERE NEVER PUNCTUAL, SOME DAYS DIDNT EVEN ARRIVE TO WORK, DID NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR RESPOND TO OUR LETTERS, AND WERE DISHONEST REGARDING BOTH THE WORK NEEDED TO BE COMPLETED AND THE COST. THE WORK THEY DID COMPLETE WAS LOUSY AT BEST. THE WORKERS PERFORMING THE WORK WERE MESSY, LEAVING FOOD AND DRINK CANS, ETC. LYING AROUND; THEY ALSO TRAILED MUD THROUGH THE MAIN PART OF THE HOUSE, USED OUR BATHROOMS AND BACKED THEM UP IN THE HOUSE. THE COMPANY TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR WORK OR FOR THE PROBLEMS WE ENCOUNTERED. WE SPENT 8 MONTHS DISPUTING THEIR WORK, AND ENDED UP HAVING TO FILE A BBB CLAIM TO GET THE SITUATION RESOLVED. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN TO MY ENEMIES. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE WENT THROUGH WITH THIS COMPANY.

IVE USED MR. ROOTER SEVERAL TIMES, AND IM ALWAYS IMPRESSED BY THEIR PROFESSIONALISM, FRIENDLINESS AND ABILITY TO QUICKLY DIAGNOSE AND SOLVE MY PROBLEM. THEY ARE THE ONLY PLUMBING SERVICE IVE EVER USED, SO I DIDNT GRADE THEM ON THEIR PRICES SINCE I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE THEM TO. HOWEVER, THEIR CHARGES HAVE ALWAYS SEEMED FAIR, AND THEY TELL YOU THE COST BEFORE THEY DO THE WORK. THEY HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE, EVEN THOUGH ONE JOB TURNED INTO A TWO DAY OPERATION THAT INVOLVED THE CITY WATER WORKS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I GAVE HIM THE BID BECAUSE HE SAID HE HAD SUBCONTRACTORS WHO COULD FIX ALL THE LANDSCAPING AND MY SIDEWALK WHICH WOULD BE TORN OUT. ON APR 1, HE DUG UP THE ENTIRE YARD, FIXED THE PIPE, AND SAID HE WOULD BE BACK OUT IN 4-6 WEEKS TO REGRADE. AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS, THE JOB WAS NOT DONE UNTIL AUG 2ND. HOWEVER, MY SIDEWALK IS STILL TORN TO PIECES AND THEY ARE NOT CLAIMING ANY RESPONSIBILITY. UNFORTUNATELY, IVE ALREADY PAID IN FULL.
