Description of Work: At the time of service our house was 50 years old, and hardly anything had been done to the two full bathrooms over that time. We wanted some not-too-fancy updates, and Jim did exactly what we wanted. We did most of the demolition, and he replaced the sub-floor, tub traps, tubs, flooring and drywall, as well as adding a fan to a bathroom where none had existed before. We were originally going to simply have the tubs reglazed, but Mr. H's subcontractor wasn't readily available. On further inspection, Jim noticed our tub traps were almost rusted through -- something he may not have noticed had we insisted on reglazing vs. simply putting in new tubs. Since this was two years ago, I don't remember the exact cost, but it was worth every single penny for us to have someone else do what we couldn't. I would certainly hire Jim and Mr. Handyman again.

Description of Work: As to what they did, they replaced the motor and rewired my bathtub Jacuzzi, and fixed an outside light switch which had become unresponsive. They did everything very well.

Description of Work: They did 3 things. Replaced screen on door -did a good job. Hung new blinds - were not spaced correctly. Filled in space in front porch stonework to keep bird out = would not use Great Stuff I purchased, instead used product that I had to pay extra for which did not work. We had to redo with product I purchased when the bird returned. Net, one out of three jobs done well.

Description of Work: Install storm door. Very poor work. Did not clean up. I had to tell the guy the how to put the glass in and that he put the handle on backwards. I also went to buy the additional materials myself per his itemized list. Then had to go back after he miscut several expensive pieces. I ultimately ended up removing the door myself and re installing it.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from Mr. Handyman for $384 for 4 hours of handyman service.

Description of Work: They quoted me a price to fix my doorbell, install an outlet in my garage, and to do a little bit of plumbing which was replacing a faucet in a kitchen. He was here for about an hour and when it was finished, he gave me a bill for $587 verses the $125 he originally quoted me. I didn’t pay him the total, but I paid half of it, so I ended up paying $150 more than I expected.

Description of Work: Matt exceeded my expectations and did a great job

Description of Work: Dan and Jason removed existing cedar siding and installed replacement cedar siding for the second story of one side of our house (approximately 250 square feet of siding). Activities included application of Tyvex wrap under the siding and refurbishment and installation of new flashing at roof / wall junction prior to installing the new siding. Outstanding result, with great attention to detail displayed by Dan and Jason, in providing a high quality result. We are very happy with the outcome.

Description of Work: My initial email was responded to quickly. I called the next day to schedule an appointment and was told that I was on the desk of the scheduler and would be contacted. Two weeks later - no contact. I worked with other vendors for proposals and eventually made a selection.
