Description of Work: I scheduled Moving Ahead for a cross-county move and after discussing my needs the office manager suggested I have 2 trucks and 3 or 4 man crew. I scheduled a 2 truck/ 3 man crew for a saturday morning start. They called me ahead of their arrival, brought 4 men anyway and were professional and courteous. They went over everything with me. | |This is my 6th move since re-locating to Cincinnati and I have to say these were THE BEST moving crew I had. They protected all of my furnishings, placed down runners and carpet protection and moved and placed everything exactly where I wanted it. I have a large 4 bedroom plus basement/ garage/ treadmill, etc and they were in, out and done in 6-7 hours. I think 1 of the guys was "newer" to the team and he was STRONG! And they took the time throughout the day to give him tips and help on how he could do things and helping him improve his skills. I don't think I'll be moving for a while, but if I do, I don't think I could use ANY OTHER COMPANY!!! Great Experience, worth every penny!

Description of Work: I live in Cincinnati and these guys came from Columbus and got a bit lost and were a little late. But they made up for that. We were moving within Cincinnati and had a storage unit to move. The crew was focused on the job and worked all day without a break! They were careful and respectful of our belonging and the houses.

Description of Work: We moved from a two-bedroom apartment to a small house about 15 miles away (Northern Kentucky to Cincinnati). Moving Ahead Services sent two men to do the job, and they did an excellent job. Our furniture moved without problem, and there was nothing broken in the move. It's possible there were a few small dents or dings to furniture, but they could also be from our own use. | |In any case, I would definitely recommend Moving Ahead Services. I used an Angie's List deal for $250 toward $500 of interstate moving services, and they honored the deal even through the move was short (we did cross a state line). Although this sort of move may not be what they intended to cover, there was absolutely no issue with using the deal. | |I hope not to move for quite a few years, but when we do we are definitely including Moving Ahead Services on the short list of movers.

Description of Work: They do have a two hour minimum which was helpful for the little stuff I had to move. They walked the whole house with me off the clock and I showed them they moved everything neat and orderly and use pads to wrap everything in. They had a nice truck and the head guy was very professional. all the items to move. Once they had their list together they moved everything neat and orderly and used pads on everything. The guys were very professional from my experience in moving you don't get that a lot. They also had a very nice truck. I would definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreThe crew showed up 15 minutes early which was great. It was an unbearably hot day - over 100 degrees and they were fantastic. They loaded up our truck quickly and took apart some furniture that we didn't get to. Overall, I would definitely recommend them (in fact, we already have recommended them to someone we know who is moving). They were very nice and polite guys and did a great job.
Description of Work: We hired 3 movers to move us from an apartment to a house. I rented the truck and they loaded and unloaded it. It took 4 hours because we made two trips (we had a ton of stuff).

 + -1 moreWe were advised the cost would be $65 per hour which includes two men, a pickup truck, and no travel time expense to the pick up location. For larger jobs a truck may be rented but this company has no trucks of their own except the pickup truck. I took the rear seats out of our mini van and they filled that as well. They followed me to the delivery location and unloaded everything and placed the furniture where I asked. Did a nice job, were careful, courteous, were very willing to take care of just the large items and let us handle the small things ourselves if we wished, saving considerable cost.
Description of Work: Moved mother in law from our lower level apartment to independent living at a nursing home. Moved her bed,dresser,secretary type desk,computer desk,lamps, several tables, two recliners, chest,linen cabinet etc.

Two men arrived early in the morning as promised, and carefully moved 2 desks and a credenza upstairs into my home office. They were very nice, efficient, and careful not to damage anything. Gave me some tips on how to fix one of the drawers that needed repair. Very considerate. Will absolutely call them again.

The bedroom I converted to a home office and the dining room were both covered in this horrible wall paper. They to remove it for me, painted, and then they painted it all. The guys who painted were even faster than the guys who moved us.

They even stopped to explain why they were doing things certain ways whenever they saw my wife nervously watching. We don't ever plan to move again, but if we were, we would use these guys.
Description of Work: They moved my belongings from a second floor apartment onto a U-Haul truck I had rented, then unloaded it at our new house. All I had to do was rent a truck, and they moved everything. They were a lot cheaper than anyone else we called, even with the cost of the truck rental figured in.
