We scheduled two trucks and six guys as recommended by the sales associate and that turned out to be perfect, despite my view that we wouldn't need that many. He was also dead on for the time estimate. Other companies may low ball you to get you to commit but then surprise you at the end with a much higher final bill. Moving Ahead went out of their way not to do that. There were no hidden fees either. I emailed back and forth a few times to make sure any concerns I had were addressed and everyone I interacted with was polite and professional. The team was actually a few minutes early, which was great. The first crew got started right away but the second crew was running late. The team leader (Jered) was totally awesome and up front about the delay and corrected the billing paperwork in writing before the job started and tacked on a discount too. This was very proactive and diffused any concerns that I had. The guys worked very efficiently and were polite throughout. My 8-year old was following them around and talking to them while they worked. No foul language, no smoking. They took apart our Ikea couch and Sleep Number bed and re-assembled it at the new place. They didn't damage a single thing. The initial cost estimate was high, in my opinion, but at the end of the day the price is more than fair for the work, the trucks, the care, and the crew. The reviews on here are legit.

They're a good, upscale company, and I would use them again. We had some issues that they handled in a very professional manner, and I was pleased.

Wow, there are so many positives to list; I don't know where to start. I really can't think of any negatives. Go Moving Ahead! First, Jeff gave me a fair quote very promptly. It was't a lot more than my recent move from NYC to Cincinnati, and the distance is much greater, so it seemed like a good deal. I mentioned my Angie's List discount, and they honored it, even when I later told them that I may have underestimated how many items I had. Wow, impressive. Integrity from the get-go. Then I was handed off to Spensir, who was really great in so many ways. He was always super quick to respond to my emails, and we even chatted a few times on the phone. I probably drove him crazy with all my questions, but he always gave answers and good advice, often within a few hours! Once I even felt he was my temporary therapist. ha He alleviated much stress! Thanks for the moral AND logistical support, Spensir! I felt like the entire logistics/paperwork process was too easy to not be a scam. I had to be missing something. How could moving be this simple? I've been lucky with all my previous moves in the sense that all the guys have been ethical, polite, and hardworking, but this company (and moving guys) took it to another higher level. It's going to be hard to live up to my new standard, future moving companies! heh I had Bob, Desmond, Ryan, and Joel in Cincinnati, with Joel being the guy who drove all the way to California. Joel came in a separate truck ? the one used to load up my stuff. Every single guy was a total pro, very likable. They seemed genuinely interested in what I was doing out in Los Angeles, too. They were super appreciative of the food goodies we left for them and post-load tips. They chose to take the stairs (I'm on the 3rd floor) instead of the elevator, because the elevator was so far away from my apartment. I couldn't believe how quick they were, especially with many heavy items and stairs! I don't think they even really took a break?!?! They moved over 125 boxes, plus quite a bit of heavy furniture and miscellaneous items in under 2 hours! I had a 2 bedroom, but more stuff than the average 2BR. I think they were the quickest movers I have ever had, but they were also very careful. Nice combo! They seemed to get along really well with each other, too, which always helps the teamwork. A+. Thanks, guys! You are awesoooome. I reconnected with Joel in Hollywood and two other local guys. All of my stuff made it, and there really wasn't any damage! Again, Joel and the other two, Justin and Chris (and Moving Ahead dealt with finding local guys so I didn't have to worry about any of that), worked very hard and got everything moved in about an hour! Amazing. The two new guys were careful and polite, too. I had a nice chat with Joel after the move. I was actually sort of sad to see him go...he (along with everybody else) helped me out big time. He took care of all my belongings for many, many miles. He had a nice combination of professionalism (checked in with me to let me know how things were going -- all the reports were positive, he made perfect time...was always on track...) and laid-back ease. He seems like he could just roll with the punches and get the job done regardless of any potential obstacles, which is clearly a great quality to have as an employee of a company. Also, as a side note, great personality and hilarious! I have already had a few negative experiences in Los Angeles, but Moving Ahead sure made at least the moving part simple for me!! It is evident to me that this isn't something they just say to get business. It's what they truly believe, and I certainly understand why the company has an A+ BBB rating and is one of the best moving companies headquartered in Ohio. Thanks, guys of Moving Ahead! Joel, Joe Seth, Bob, Matt, JImmy, and Ryan were the best! I cannot tell you how wonderful these guys are! We were dreading to move our large home, and they made it so enjoyable. ?From the first minute they introduced themselves they were very friendly like they were family helping you move yet very rofessional. We were very impressed with their continued energy for nine hours. ?They were very careful with our precious items. THANKS GUYS YOU ARE THE BEST! ?Hire these guys you won't be disappointed.

3 movers, Stephan, Patrick, and Mike arrived promptly. They disassembled furniture and re-assembled as necessary. They were very careful with a couple glass curios and a mirrored night stand. I have never had a move without a mishap, and there were a few with this move. One was a broken glass lampshade. While they used furniture pads to carefully wrap the glass shelving from the curios they did not use furniture pads to protect the top of wooden furniture. I had several gouges on my wooden dresser and small credenza. Overall I was happy with their service and would use again if necessary.

Two movers (Patrick & Mike) showed up toward the end of the estimated time window ready to work. We walked through and identified things that were going out and staying. They worked hard and fast to get all of my possessions out - disassembling beds, theater chairs, sofas, etc and loading them and pre-packed boxes up in the truck to my destination - Tennessee. We still had a bit more packing to do while they were there but these guys worked around us and were done just within the 2-hour required minimum! I was quoted at $228 but with these efficient guys, my total ended up being $152. You do the math. SWEET!

As a previous mover I have a raised bar on what to expect from a moving co. With that being said they have the big moving co presents with out big prices. The crew showed up on time and in uniform, they did a walk through with me to verify what went and what didn't.. The movers worked a good pace with courtesy. However there was a mix up with the boxes I ordered but it did not effect my quote. The crew continued to load as another employee brought out the correct boxes. The movers then packed my items into boxes and loaded them. Bottom line, no damages no hidden charges means satisfied customer....

It went very well. They were very professional and proficient. and their price was very good.

It a very good experience. They had to take some of the furniture apart to get it out. The fact that they went to three different places and put the furniture in its place and in some cases put it back together as well they did great.

They were punctual, polite and effecient. Very happy with service and price.

As a follow-up to the provider's comments: 1) The "issues" that they refer to is the fact that my apartment flooded and, rather than lose me as a tenant, the apartment management offered to pay for my move to a new apartment within the building. (Is that how they made it sound?) 2) I was not reprimanded by the judge and the case was not dismissed. The judgement was that there was not enough evidence to conclude guilt. (The apartment management would not provide the tapes to the police and allowed them to be erased, perhaps because they hired the movers.) 3) The only lies in this review are in their response. The movers did not bring proper moving materials, so left for 3 hours, still returning without everything that they needed. As a result, my furniture was scuffed in the doorways. They did not provide me with a form for damage claim. I had to contact them in order to get a form, which I then filled out. However, when I returned the form, they said I could not "prove" that they did the damage. I offered to send them pictures but they threatened that I should not contact them again. Since the move I have never found my coin collection, which was present shortly before the move. In the short time between the move and the discovery that it was gone, I never had anyone else in my apartment.

They were excellent. He responded the same day that I called and scheduled an appointment in a timely manner, they were prompt, professional, and did very good work. Our son is moving from one apartment to another and we recommend that he use them.

They packed the truck in an extremely unprofessional manner. The dining room chairs with webbed backing were packed at different angles on top of each other in a haphazard fashion. The legs of the chairs were up against the webbed backing of another chair and were pushing against one another. Because of this, the foot of one chair destroyed the wicker backing of another chair. Heavy boxes were placed on top of the fine dining room table. The legs could have been removed but they were not. A very heavy King size mattress was placed on the highest position and was pressing down on the boxes on the dining room table and the chairs also underneath. They placed the mattress, one of the largest and heaviest items, on top of the lighter items below instead of being packed vertically on the side of the truck. There were five pieces of English Bone China were broken despite being wrapped in moving paper and packed in a box that was labeled fine china and fragile. They are forty years old and will be difficult to replace. They packed a mahogany antique piece of furniture next to a piece of metal machinery, and it put a three inch gouge on the side of antique. There were large scratches 4 to 5 inches long on a piece of bedroom furniture and a piece of living room furniture. Many of the heavier pieces were not tied down with ropes probably and as a result moved during shipment and thus contributing to the damage of individual pieces in shipment.

They were prompt and professional. I would tell my friends about them and anything I have to move, I will call them again!

Phil, Collin and Sean were a super end to a trying move to Cincinnati. They calmed our nerves with their amazing quality of work, courteous behavior, and great care they took with our items-- which had to go into storage as our new home had not closed yet. What a difference form our New York state movers who were rude, did a shoddy job, and was an embarrassment to the profession, and cost so much more. This company has fair prices, super customer service, and from start to finish it could not have gone better. We wlll definitely use them for our final move.

I felt the first phone answerer was pleasant and anxious to please; wanted to help. But, maybe he was not the real person in charge of schedule, could not commit. Second person promised the elusive "I'll call you back"....this may not have been her fault that she never had info to call back. But I, silly, waited. Third contact was message machine with the Send Email Info. Will call other mover options. Remember: I did not have the opportunity to see if they were spectacular movers or not. No follow-through.

The move lasted 10 hours, plus the drive time back to Cincinnati from Indianapolis. The movers moved the contents of a Three bedroom house, maximizing the moving truck's space without damaging a single item. The move was made on a Sunday and at a fraction of the cost of what the national moving companies were quoting.

My father had to move rooms suddenly at his assisted-living facility due to a serious fall and I called 4WeHelp first thing Monday morning. They said they could maybe come Monday afternoon but I asked for Tuesday to give us more time to prepare. Estimate of $300 was given and it was spot on. Time-frame of 12-4 was given for starting and they were there by 1:45. They were fast and careful. This was an extremely stressful time for our family and they were quick, helpful and very professional. I strongly recommend them.

On time, very prof., pleasant - helpful.

The start was a phone call. Got a machine answer. The sent me to an e-mail reponse. I filled out the questions as requested indicating the service required. They indicatd they were busy through Saturday. I sent an e-mail suggesting Monday and I never received a response. Business must be good. They indicated to me that they did not need my business!

We have used this company on three occasions for small to medium moves and they have been fantastic. They are very professional, polite and extremely efficient! I would recommend them without hesitation!

I was very pleased. The staff, especially Jon, was friendly and helpful.
