My husband and I were looking to purchase a home that was on quite a bit of a slope. There were some obvious signs of water gathering on one side of the home (grass not growing there, etc). Since we had such a short time frame to get the estimate, that was one of the main drivers for choosing a landscaping company. Motz was able to accommodate my short time frame by coming to do a free estimate in the same week. They are a great family business to work with. Matt came to do the estimate and was very timely at emailing a quote back to me the next day. We decided not to purchase the home but will definitely call on these folks for our landscaping needs.

Jim Motz is an expert using the track-hoe. It's like an extension of his arm. I was impressed how quickly he got the dirt removed. He showed up at 8:10 AM and go to work right away. After a couple of days work I had a new "fortress rock" wall that now keeps my house from sliding down the hill. nobody in town can do work of this scale. Jim even moved a small tree that was in the way and replaced it back (pretty close) to its original location. I requested at least one day advance notice so that I could prepare the area, but got a call at 10 PM the night before. Unfortunately there was some damage to my fence that could have easily been avoided. I took the day off work to make sure that I could accommodate anything he needed. A quick ten minutes of 'downtime' and I could have removed the fence fabric and avoided an additional $100 expense. Jim is a very nice and hard-working man. He has a passion for his work and it shows.

I USUALLY GET ABOUT A CORD DELIVERED. IT'S ALWAYS HIGH QUALITY, GOOD BURNING WOOD.

JIM MOTZ DID A GREAT JOB ON OUR BACK YARD. IT WAS A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF WORK. HE IS VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE WORK HE DOES. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS A CONCRETE STEP HE ADDED NEXT TO OUR DECK THAT WE DID NOT APPROVE. HE SAID IT WOULD BE REMOVED. IT IS STILL THERE AFTER 3 MONTHS. (WE CAN NOT REMOVE IT OURSELVES, IT WEIGHS SEVERAL HUNDRED POUNDS.) THAT SAID WE WOULD STILL HIRE HIM AGAIN. MOST COMPANIES THAT WE CONTACTED FOR ESTIMATES WOULD NOT TOUCH THE JOB. HE IS AN EXPERT AT SOIL EROSION.
