I was very skeptical when these guys stopped in front of my house offering to trim the trees. After a quick check of them online I decided to let them do the trimming since I was coincidentally accepting bids for the work already. They offered to do the work for less than anyone had bid and could do the work immediately. Overall I was impressed with the crew. They were very friendly and did a nice job. Docking them a little for professionalism because of the way they scour the neighborhood looking for work.

They did really nice work. Were very up-front and open about the price, and even though the cost was more than the original estimate, Mark and I discussed that it was hard to tell what might need done on some of the high work because we would not know the condition of the tree until the climber could inspect them. We are very happy with the work and the price.
Description of Work: Mark and his crew deadwooded 2 large locust trees, cleaned up a walnut tree, and deadwooded/shaped a 100' pin oak tree.

It was a very good experience. Except for the staff trainee who was a little slow, they were very fast and managed to accomplish the task that same day. They were really nice and chopped the trees into small pieces to get the place clean. They were very professional that even while we had moved out, they kept in communication.

Many trees on our street were infected with emerald ash borer. Several homes submitted for a group rate. The workers were consistently 2-3 hours late each day. The workers themselves were good but the owner was completely unresponsive to phone calls when his workers were late. Instead the foreman , a family member, responded after repeated messages. The foreman would trash talk one neighbor to another ( and we have Very nice neighbors!) They would partially finish a job and leave equipment in one yard while starting a job in another yard. The work was finally completed, but, overall it was a frustrating experience.
Description of Work: Took 7 trees down in our yard.

Except for the chain smoking, these are really nice people, which makes it difficult to say anything negative, but they are good at tree trimming and not so good at yard work. They are called a tree service so maybe I should have been more aware. They worked hard in the heat for about 3 1/2 hours the first day and removed a lot of honeysuckle and overgrowth at the back of the lot on the first day. They also trimmed some trees and cut down a small tree and two large shrubs. They also removed the remnants of an old fence, which they hauled away the second day. They needed to borrow a hammer and screwdriver to take some of the fence apart. They did a good job of grinding up the trimmings on that first day. They said they would do the landscape cleanup the next day and that I would hear from them by 11:00 am. They arrived at noon on the second day and worked till a little after six without really eating lunch as far as I could see. I provided ice water and fudgesicles. Before they could start, they asked to borrow tools from me. They needed to borrow hedge clippers, pruning shears, a shovel, and a wheelbarrow. The owner asked if I had a charger for his cell phone, which he had forgotten to charge up. I did not have one to fit his phone. The two leaders left twice to buy mulch and were gone a long time. The second time they said they had to go to Amelia to buy mulch although we are surrounded by home improvement and hardware stores. They did not do everything we agreed upon and the weeds are coming back fast. They had rented an edger but still did not do a good job of edging the beds. They did work hard and were polite and tried to please. Maybe they just ran out of time and got tired. They left a lot of mud on the front porch and front sidewalk even after I mentioned that there was a hose in the garage that they could use for cleanup. In their defense, two of them got stung by yellow jackets and maybe that discouraged them. Two leaders came back on the third morning to finish the mulching. I would hire them again for tree work but not for yard work.
Description of Work: Tree trimming, shrub and bush trimming, weed and honeysuckle removal, yard clean-up fence removal and mulching. They also made an attempt to edge the beds.

My husband and I knew when we bought the property that we'd have to remove a large, dead tree at the corner of our property, we'd just been putting it off. Morgan's Tree Care was in the neighborhood for another job, and they knocked on our door offering a discount since they were already in the area. Initially, we thought we'd need to have two trees removed, the large one we'd noticed, and one on the back of our property. They quoted us $900 for the first tree, and $600 for the second. In the process of going through and removing those, we noticed two more that needed attention ... long story short, they ended up taking a total of 6 large trees for us, for a total of about $2500. Several of the trees were splitting and cracked, and one of them fell on our neighbor's fence. Morgan's Tree Care took care of talking to the homeowner, and arranged to fix the fence the next day. Additionally, they helped clear several other smaller trees at no extra charge. We are very happy with their services, and we feel they did an excellent job given the deteriorated condition of the trees. We are not sure how to compare prices with other services, but we feel that $400/tree (about the average it works out to) is not unreasonable, given the dangerous nature of the work and the impossibility of doing this ourselves.

The man had his insurance information which was helpful & claimed to be bonded. They were very nice, very helpful, & cleaned up very well afterward. He didn’t have a bucket to go up to the top of the tree, but he did have someone climb the tree to get to higher branches. He did have some bigger equipment & a grinder though. I’ve never hired anyone who just walked into the neighborhood like this, but 7 houses I know if in the neighborhood hired him & no one seems to have complained. For what he did, I was pleased with the price - He asks for cash plus tax.
Description of Work: He came into our neighborhood. A number of people in the neighborhood used them; I was the last hold out before I decided to use them after seeing his insurance. I had him trim 3 big trees.
