When I got home I realized my hair was really uneven and gappy. I called them and they got me in the next day, gave me one of their top stylists, fixed it, and didn't charge me a dime. They were very accommodating.

+ 0 moreEven though they are pricey, I would pay more for the work that Greg does. I think their waxing services are over-priced, no matter how good a job someone does. Ditto other spa services. The shorter pedicure is definitely something to consider unless you really enoy having your feet and legs massaged.
Description of Work: HAIR REVIEW I began using Mitchell's Hyde Park nearly two decades ago. My stylist there is not someone I would recommend because she lacked a passion for her work and I often came home with slight imperfections that I was too rushed to see in the salon. Fast forward a little. I switched to Heather who was at Kenwood (she is now in West Chester). She is great. She delivers a precision cut with great color in a timely fashion. When she went on maternity leave, I had to find someone new to help me out. Because I live about 8 minutes from the Kenwood salon, so I decided to go with Greg. He is fabulous. Everything is like clockwork and he does a beautiful job of cutting my son's hair, as well as mine. Because of the convenient location and the superb service, I opted to stick with Greg and I highly recommend him to anyone considering hair services at Kenwood. He is a genius with color, especially high and low lights. I frequently receive compliments on my color. WAXING REVIEW I see Lucy at Kenwood for waxing and she is meticulous in taming my brows and keeping my upper lip smooth. She has specific plan for shaping my brows and I have followed her instructions to attain the best brow shape I can get. I've had differing results with other waxers that I saw when she wasn't available. One of them decided to shorten my brow length without asking. That is an isolated incident. More commonly, they only remove hair using wax and do not take the time to pluck stray hairs that the wax missed unless you ask. Erin is the last person I remember that happening with. Kennedy is good, but on maternity leave now. NAIL REVIEW I usually see Gretchen for my nails. She is very efficient, if not the most bubbly personality. That is OK with me because I can just bury my nose in a book. Skill level matters in this area. If you don't care about your nail service taking 15 minutes longer, then use one of the lower level techs. I do not find this relaxing and just want to get it over and done with, so it is important to me to request someone at a director level. I also choose their quicker pedicure option (I don't remember what it is called, but if you want it, you have to ask or you will automatically be booked for a whirlpool pedicure).

+ 0 moreThey are good and very professional. The service is really good. I did have an issue when I went for the first haircut; I got a junior haircut girl and she messed my hair up a little bit. She was new and she was young. She had a little trouble understanding what I was trying to explain to her. I told her that I just wanted an inch taken off all over; and I ended up with 3 inches taken off on one side and an inch on the other. So I called them and talked to them about it; they had to come in and they gave me one of their top stylists. She took care of my hair for me and I ended up getting a manicure that day. I wasn’t charged for any of the services at all and I got top of the line service without pay. It was very nice, but my hair was pretty bashed up too. The way she got it styled looked fine when I left. The next morning when I showered, started drying, and curling my hair, I realized that I was missing chunks of hair on one side of my head. It was pretty hysterical. They were fabulous about it. I called and they got me in the very next day. I was there for an hour and a half; the lady that shampooed my hair did put a special treatment on it and they were phenomenal. The girl that fixed my hair did a wonderful job and in fact she is my regular stylist. The massage was good. It was very professional and very relaxing. They are very attentive; before the massage they asked me if I had any areas that troubled me and I had a lot of issues with my right shoulder. She took the time to work on that and they are really good. I feel younger when I go there. I have never had any issue getting an appointment when I needed it. The office environment is very pleasing. I can honestly say that it is one of the cleanest ones I have been in. The staff is very professional and it's a very relaxing atmosphere.

+ -1 moreThey have about eight locations around the Cincinnati area so they are really big. I've been using their services for two years. They are always very professional. I'm always greeted when I go in and all of their facilities are always very clean. They have a nice changing room and several massage rooms too. They have several different options for massages so they are able to do regular body massages and when I was pregnant they were also able to do prenatal massages. The massage therapists are always professional, well trained and know what they are doing. I was never kept waiting. They always talked me through what they were doing and why they were doing it. The atmosphere is just very relaxing.

They represent the salon well. I recommend them to others all the time. I trust my stylist so much I let him do what he feels will work for me. I am happy with the price and the service.

+ 1 moreCourtney has been styling my hair for about three years and she is fantastic!! She does my cut and highlights and gives me tips to deal with my very fine hair. My husband began going to her for his haircuts about 9 months ago because the stylist at Regis was never available and now he is very pleased with Courtney as well. My only complaint for this salon is the cost. My cut and color runs me $150-160 and eyebrows run me $30. Manicures & pedicures aren't terrible on the price but I know I can find better. I am currently looking for a less expensive salon for my eyebrow waxing, massage and mani/pedis. I do plan to continue going to Courtney though because she is worth it! I would recommend her talent to anyone!

The way she styled it made it look okay but when I washed it I realized the cut was not at all what I wanted. Had to go back and have Tammy re-do the cut. Now I’m pleased with the cut.

+ -1 moreMy wife was 8 months pregnant, and she was having a lot of back stiffness. The massage lasted for about an hour. It relieved her stiffness, and she felt much better. It was a good experience for her from start to finish, and she enjoyed the massage. The office environment was very soothing and relaxing for her. I thought their price was reasonable. We had scheduled our appointment with them a week in advance. Everyone there including the staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful.

+ -1 moreIt was a wonderful experience. I ve always been pleased with their service. I like their salon and I think they are capable and they all do a good job. I liked the way the masseur listened to my areas of concerns and performed the massage accordingly, which I thought was good. I like the way they treat you, they offer a glass of lemon water the moment you walk out after the massage. They are very punctual; I have hardly ever had to wait for more than a minute. I feel much pampered when I go there.

+ -1 moreThe first two services went off without a hitch. The next two services were scheduled wrong (their fault) and I had to cancel. In the course of rescheduling there were numerous schedule issues. Ultimately I called in to see if there was any room to switch an appointment and since there wasn't I decided to keep the original appointment. When I showed up for the appointment it had been canceled and booked by someone else. They offered to "squeeze me in." Since I have had other poor haircut experiences with the company, I declined. I called their call center and was told someone would call me by 11 am Monday morning. At 4:30 I got a phone call to confirm an appointment for Tuesday that I NEVER MADE! I talked to the call center manager, Maria. Her solution was just to have her be the only one to make my appointment. All she could offer me was an apology. The shame is I like the stylist I was seeing. Natalie does a great job. But there are so many other good stylists at other salons, sorry Natalie. For the price, it isn't worth it. For the service, it isn't worth it. For the bad hair cuts and color jobs, it isn't worth it. I have had issues four different times with this salon and kept going back after a few years. Now I am done. A simple apology isn't worth the amount of time I've spent trying to get them to make things right.
