I received three quotes before choosing Mark for my lighting. Marks prices were competitive, his knowledge was evident, and the time he took to perform a demo for my wife and I on a Friday night made it an easy decision. Mark had Herbert over to install the system after we came to an agreement within 10 days, much faster than the other two bids were going to be able to complete the work as well. Mark came out multiple times to check in on the lighting to make sure it met our needs, and to answer all of my questions. His average response time to any of my questions was under an hour, whether that was email or text. This is the type of business and customer service you just can?t find anymore. I told Mark this is my favorite addition to our home. The lights that Mark uses also carry a lifetime guarantee, something no other providers could offer. They are extremely high quality, and very good looking (not plastic, actually a solid bronze). They even have a remote so Mark can fine tune the brightness of each individual light in 5% increments, plus 2-4 lens options with varying light scatter. Needless to say we are happy, and I would say look no further for your lighting needs. I have referred him to my parents and many neighbors already. We have actually just hired Mark again to add lighting to our back yard as well as our paver patio seating wall. He was able to use a single transformer for the front and back saving us on cost. We cannot say enough how wonderful Mark was to work with on this project. Upon our first call, Mark came out quickly to discuss the project and to provide a demo. Mark had done another home in our neighborhood, so we knew already that we liked his work, but his customer service and attention to detail was beyond what we expected. We agreed to move forward and given a window in his schedule he was able to install the lights the following week. His team came and completed the job in one day and were very thoughtful in how they cleaned up after themselves. Mark also called to see how we liked everything after the first night with our lights. In addition to installing all of the lights planned, Mark added an additional spot light on our address sign for no additional cost because he felt it would bring that little extra to the project. We cannot recommend Mark highly enough!

My objective was to update from my old lighting system to the new LED fixtures, and to repair wiring that had been damaged by a snow blower. Mark came to our home to hear what we wanted. He brought equipment with him so he could demonstrate how the various options would look once installed. He then e-mailed a proposal. Initially, we wanted lighting for the back yard as well. However, the proposal was more expensive than we had anticipated. We asked him to install only the lighting for the front and side yards. He came with a helper to do the installation, set the automatic timer and showed us how to operate it, and checked back to see if we were happy with the final installation. We had him add a couple of additional lights. The final installation is exactly what we wanted. He did an excellent job!

We contacted Milmark to get an estimate on installing outdoor lighting in the front of our newly constructed home. Mark Hoffman's estimate was expertly detailed even providing us with a temporary visual install at night of what our lighting could look like. When we received the quote we were disappointed because we loved his work but could not afford the cost. Mark worked with us to make changes to the design of the install. He came to our home again to give us a demo of a revised installation which we loved and so was able to bring the quote down to an amount we could manage. His employee was punctual, professional and courteous. We love our lighting at the front of our new house and will use him again down the road when we have additional lighting needs.

We made our decision to pursue lighting late in the year and found Milmark on Angie's list. Mark responded to our inquiry in a timely manner, gave us a proposal which had all the necessary terms and conditions spelled out including pricing which he met to the dollar. Installation was scheduled and completed professionally. He had a helper, who like Mark, knew what he was doing and together they completed our work in less than a day. Mark came back at night to check how it looked, besides giving me some basic instructions and paper work on operation. We jointly decided that a hood on one light was necessary and he had to put that on order. He temporarily used a smaller one of his own to minimize the glare. He has kept me informed and I am expecting it mid January. Mark's workmanship guarantee is in writing and the Manufacturer's warranty covers the lights,etc. He uses Kischler lighting products so his price was not in the strata of the lower end equipment out there. He suggested LED lights over conventional for reasons of durability and operating costs in the future,but it was our choice. I did not competitively bid this job because after discussing the specifics like his background (electronics), his equipment selection, his experience in this work, etc. (incl. Angie's List's references) and my prior experiences with a landscaper who did this as an "add on" , I felt I was getting the whole deal. At this point I feel that I did. I feel we that we got a first rate job and that I can call on and count on Mark in the future for assistance.

Mark was terrific to work with. Very accommodating and he definitely knew his stuff. He worked with us and was happy to come out and demo some different configurations (something no other company that quoted the job was willing to do). All work was done very well and we were completely satisfied.

The key to this story was Mark and his professionalism and knowledge of his craft. First off what made this whole situation work is that Mark provides a demo using real lights to show the customer how their house would look with exterior lighting. Not only did he come after 5pm to give me the demo but, he answered all my questions and was prompt with his installation. The best part of the install was that I was not there for any of it! He did it all and to be honest I forgot that I was even getting it done! Then one night after a bad day I turned the corner on my street and saw my house all lit up! I have had neighbors tell me that at night it looked like an abandoned house and now it looks like a show house! I give all the credit to Mark!

Mark came to our home and conducted an initial design consultation and demonstration. We liked his design and creative ideas and decided to award the work to him. He came in exactly on budget and completed all work within a week of signing the contract. He also found a creative way to route the wires which saved me in excess of $200. We have had poor experiences with other outdoor lighting companies in the past; but Mark was extremely honest, professional and delivered on all of him commitments. He has my unconditional endorsement.

He did excellent work for us under sometimes trying circumstances. The lighting is very professional and great looking. In addition it is very easy to operate the timers when necessary.
