Midwest Stone Scapes

I contacted Midwest Stone scapes to get a quote for a concrete patio and deck. I had some positive references from other people and the pictures of their work seemed high quality. They were busy and it took a few weeks to get them to come out for a quote. On my appointment date, we talked about options and he was very informative and gave me ideas I wasn't aware of. He told me he would contact me with a quote. That was the last I ever heard from him. I emailed the company 2 weeks later and the office person called me back and said she would check on the progress of my quote. Another week went by and still no quote. I emailed them again and never had a return message or call. Very disappointing, as I was extremely interested in one of the products he told me about. A true professional would have at least returned my call and told me they couldn't do my project.

We had a great experience working with Stone Scapes and would definitely use them again. In fact we can't say enough good things about our experience. After receiving bids and ideas from 4 other contractors, we saw Stone Scapes at the Home and Garden Show. We liked the fact that they were the only contractor who said they would physically remove tree roots from the area where our patio would be located. Trees had recently been removed from that area and the other contractors recommended just stump grinding the trunks. However, we were concerned the patio would gradually sink due to decaying roots under the patio. Stone Scapes removed as many tree roots as possible with a bobcat, were responsive to a design change made 2 weeks prior to the start date, built a retaining wall that was not in the original bid, and did a beautiful job despite a very rainy month and construction on our street which made parking their equipment difficult. We were especially pleased with the communication from Ryan Davis. He kept us updated and was a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with the work Stone Scapes did at our home.

They were very responsive and showed up when promised. They completed the work right as promised. Over the winter, some of the paver stones cracked and they came out in the spring to replace these about two weeks after we called. They were cost-effective compared to a few other estimates we received. Also, they had smaller equipment that was the right size for the area that they were working on and this caused minimal damage to our yard and our neighbor’s yard.
