Rick did a beautiful job on my dining table. It looks brand new!

Rich Metz did amazing work on both of the jobs that he did for me! First I had him repair 2 badly broken wooden bedposts that I didn't think were possible to repair, but he somehow made them as good as new! He did such a great job with the wooden bedposts that I then hired him to repair a wooden table with a very intricately designed top, which I thought would be impossible to replicate, but he was able to repair the top so that it matched absolutely perfect to the rest of the top to where you can't even notice where the work he did was located at. He is by far the best refinisher and repair guy with wood that I have ever seen!!! I will use him in the future for any furniture repair jobs that I need done.

OUTSTANDING! Refinished table inherited from my Mom. Didn't think it could be saved. Very fair price (not the cheapest and not the most expensive we found) and excellent work. Above and beyond what we expected. VERY happy we found Rick.

I inherited a chair that belonged to my great grandparents. The chair's frame lists its manufacture date as 1948. The chair was, for nearly 40 years, in an attic or basement. The upholstery was water damaged, faded, dirty, and the wood was scratched and had some water damage. One of the chair's arms had separated from the chair's frame. Rick repaired the chair, making the frame sturdy and usable. He refinished the wood and it looks beautiful. We have it in our living room now. Rick also tightened a vintage ladder back chair and it's usable again, too.

Our dresser was damaged by some leaked air freshener oil. Great service, quality workmanship, very fast completion, friendly and responsive communication. Couldn’t be more pleased with the results - looks as good as original. Pick up and drop off was smooth and quick. Price for completed work came in less than quoted. Clearly great care and respect for the craft and the years of experience are evidenced in the results. Would hire again! A++++

Rick is an expert craftsman who runs his business professionally - you can depend on his estimates and time lines, and his finished work is magnificent. He refinished three badly scratched cherry tables for us for a fair price and erased 50 years of wear - they are beautiful! (He is doing more work for us in the spring, so better get in line!)

The work was excellent. The repair looks like new. He is very busy but managed to squeeze some time in to do the repair within a week's time so we could have use of the table. He is very knowledgeable. His pricing is very reasonable. He enjoys and takes pride in his work and therefore has high quality standards. We plan to bring dining chairs to him again soon for additional repairs. We highly recommend his services.

Rick was awesome! Like many people I have bought a restoration hardware table that was unusable because it was unsealed reclaimed wood- water marks were left on the table the first day! I have 2 small children and knew this table would not survive if I did not seal it I was nervous about changing the look of the table. Rick was very understanding of my concerns and came to my house twice within days to place samples on the wood(underside of the table) so I would know exactly what the end result would be. He also was very knowledgable and took the time to explain to me how the wood would react and what not-sealing our table would mean with having 2 small children. Rick had my best interests in mind and was very accommodating to my schedule and wants with the table. He was able to seal the table the same week we met, which was great. Our table looks fantastic and more importantly is now usable!!! Many thanks to Rick. I will use Rick again and would recommend him to others.

Rick was great to work with. I was able to send him photos of the table that needed refinishing and get an estimate from him based on the photos. We talked on the phone a few times to discuss the work and the scheduling of the work. When we decided on a day to pick up the table, he arrived at the time we had agreed upon and provided me with some additional details on what he planned to do with the table. The work was completed within a few days and the table returned to my home. The difference in the table is amazing! I had been covering the table for years because the top was in pretty bad shape. The table is around 40 years old, but is very solid and well built. With the work that Rick put into it, it now looks like new! I won't be covering it up anymore. We will definitely use Rick for any refinishing work that we need in the future.

Rick brought my Wife’s Grandmothers old Hutch back to life. His talent and knowledge were really tested with this stripping, staining and repair. He is an interesting guy and a pleasure to work with. You can trust him with your most precious Furniture.

I sent Rick photos of my furniture and he responded by telephone to set up a date to take a look in person. Rick arrived when he said he would and we made a date for him to pick up the furniture. At first, Rick said he couldn't do the work until after Christmas, but his schedule opened up and he took the furniture much sooner. Rick explained all of the options for refinishing and we decided to that the table top needed to be stripped, sanded, and re-stained. The rest was to be given a light sanding and sprayed with a tinted finishing protectant. Rick explained all the costs and processes up-front. He also explained proper care for the furniture. As it turned out, Rick decided to strip the horizontal pieces of the chairs, hutch, and side table as well. When Rick came to pick up the furniture, he asked me for a stain-colored sample that he could match. I gave him a wooden tray with a color that I liked and he finished the furniture to exactly match. The furniture came back in a little over a week and it is stunning.

Mr. Metz came to my home, picked up the necessary furniture and parts, took them to his shop and repaired them, and returned and installed them at the end. It took a lot longer than I expected for this job to be completed, but because the job was taking place while my house was being remodeled, it was no skin off my nose. The wait was well worth it. Because the slats for the rolltop desk tambour had warped while sitting disassembled in my basement, I had reservations that anyone could repair it. Mr. Metz did a wonderful job. I recommend him highly.
