 + -1 moreMercy is the hospital corporation. We have been their members since the year 2000 so it has been 15 years with them. They have got everything. You can take diabetic classes. They have got a heart rehab and that is how I first became involved with them. I had a heart attack back in 2000. When I went from cardiac rehab, I just joined their Healthplex and it is just like any other where you get a lot of personal attention. It is like most of your health spas around America. I haven't gone anywhere since I was a kid so you look at it through different eyes. We are happy with it. We continue to stay with them. They have a lot of good techs that work there that work with you for a program. We are happy. What stands out the most is the results and the friendliness of the people that you deal with there. We have made a lot of friends with other members that are pretty much in the same age bracket as us. I think they are fair on the price. My wife and I pay $88 a month, not a piece but together. I think it is probably a very equitable rate that they are asking. I am pleased going there and we have been there for 15 years so they are doing something right. The quality is excellent. I think the communication is good. I don't have a problem with the one that I go to. After so many years, you know most of the people that at least you deal with like the one on the front desk where you get your key for the locker room and things like that. These people are someone you see three times a week and you just become friends with them. It is a good health experience.

 + -1 moreIt's a big facility. It's affiliated with the Mercy Hospital. Its a wonderful operation. Somebody in the family is there right now, we use it just about everyday. It's a little pricey compared to some of the average maybe, but if you use it every day, then I feel it's worth it. For a family of four it's about a hundred dollars a month. I think it is a very nice place. I rate them an 'A'. They offer a lot. I will continue using them. They even have additional things that you can use if you pay for it. They are very large. My husband calls it the country club of exercise facilities.

 + 0 moreI am a swimmer. I like to swim. I like the laps. At my age, I can't run, so the pool, the swimming is the best for me. It's an excellent gym. I haven't used their personal trainers, but the staff I would give them an and quot;Aand quot;.
Description of Work: For health and for fitness, I go on the Mercy Healthplex. It's the one over in Western Hills on the corner of Boudinot. I was there about two days ago. Prior to that, I've been every day for the past probably two and a half weeks, three weeks.

 + 0 moreThey have several branches. I go to them because they offer good variety of fitness classes and it is very clean. If you have a personal trainer they show you how to use the equipment and what is the best way to get the best workout for you. It is not open 24/7. They open at 5:30 in the morning, I am not sure when they close but they have good hours.

 + -1 moreI have been a member over 10 years. They have nice pools, tennis, saunas, whirlpools, full basketball court, lots of exercise/spinning classes and the usual nautilus/exercise equipment. It costs over $125 per family per month so is on the higher end. They also have plenty of trainers which I have used. You can even get a massage there.

 + -1 moreThey are very personalized. They are very professional, and very responsive. It is a clean facility. They have a lot of options for people from massage to personal trainers to physical therapy. They also have good equipment. I will continue to this facility in the future.
Description of Work: I go to Mercy Health Plex. It is a fitness center and it has rehab facilities also. I have been going there for five or six years. I was there yesterday. My family also uses it.

Description of Work: I have been a member of the Mercy Anderson HeathPlex for a year. Overall, I absolutely love it. I have a young daughter, and it is a great place for both of us. The workout facilities are nice. They have ample cardio machines and weights. They have a nice variety of fitness classes for all levels, from beginner, senior citizen, and super hard for advanced exercisers. My only problem with some of the classes is that they are really full! The yoga is great. I am kind of a yoga snob, so it is important to me that the yoga teachers are all certified by the Yoga Alliance, which theirs are. They have a separate yoga studio, so classes are not in the main aerobics room, which is nice. They have an extensive aquatics program, with lots of classes. The locker room/ shower area is great. There are lots of showers. They provide shampoo, lotion, etc. They also provide towels and day lockers with built-in digital locks. They also have a tennis program, but I do not participate, so I cannot comment. They have lots of personal trainers (extra fee); I do not participate in this either. Kids programming is really strong. My 18 month old daughter goes to the child care while I work out. The staff is really wonderful, and my daughter loves going there. They also have classes for little ones (extra fees required) including gymnastics, dance, swimming, tennis, karate, etc. We have taken toddler gymnastics, which my daughter adored, and parent-child swimming, which was also great. The emphasis on these classes was FUN for my daughter, which is perfect for little ones.

 + -1 moreWe have a family membership and they charge us $100.00 a month. We use them partly because of the location. It is an up to date facility with lots of different equipment options and exercise bikes and stairmasters. It's a really nice environment. They have a lot of classes, but we have never partaken of any of them. They have trainers that we can use, but we haven't done that either. We just go over and use it when we can. We will continue to use them when it suits us.

 + -1 moreThe facility offers many classes and many venues for all ages. The facility has a therapy pool and a lap pool among other treatment options. The facility is very clean and efficiently run. They have an adequate number of therapists and they always make you feel comfortable with their instructions. Any time instruction is needed to operate the machines, there is someone there to assist. I think the membership dues are quite reasonable considering the offerings they have. This is also attached to Mercy Fairfield hospital. This puts anyone using this facility at ease since the best of care is available while using the facility. I am extremely satisfied with this gym and will continue to use it as long as I am within the area. If I should have to find another facility in another area, I only hope I can find a gym as pleasant as this if I should have to change.
Description of Work: I was injured at another gym and my doctor recommended physical therapy. Physical therapy was performed and classes to ease pain were taught by a physical therapist. When PT was complete, the facility gave a 30-day complimentary membership to continue the healing process. They were so successful in helping me that I continued my membership after the complimentary sessions were completed.

 + -1 moreTHE FACILITY IS INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL AND RELAXING. ALL THE STAFF MEMBERS ARE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. THERE IS SUCH A WIDE VARIETY OF CLASSES THAT WE ARE ABLE TO FIND JUST WHAT WE WISHED FOR. THE CLASS INSTRUCTORS ARE FABULOUS!
Description of Work: MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER AND I WERE IN NEED OF A FITNESS CENTER TO TAKE CLASSES THAT INTERESTED BOTH OF US. THE CENTER GAVE US A PERSONAL TOUR AND 3DAY GUEST PASS. WE JOINED THE FACILITY FOR $169 ENROLLMENT AND $99 PER MONTH FOR ONE YEAR. WE COMPARED IT TO OTHER NEARBY FACILITIES AND FOUND THIS ONE OFFERED THE MOST FOR THE MONEY. WE TAKE PILATES CLASSES TOGETHER AND MY TEEN TAKES CARDIO KICKBOXING AND SPINNING CLASSES. IN ADDITION, WE USE THE FITNESS EQUIPMENT SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. THE STAFF PROVIDES GUIDANCE AS NEEDED.

HE KNOWS HOW TO SPEAK ON A CHILDS LEVEL AND GIVES CLEAVER NAMES TO DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE GAME SO THE CHILD CAN REMEMBER HOW TO DO IT PROPERLY. YOU CAN TELL HE REALLY ENJOYS TEACHING CHILDERN.
