If you are looking for a contractor to hang wallpaper or paint, look no further than Wendy. Her attention to detail and craft is unsurpassed. She was thorough in her preparation of the material and space, and produced an amazing end result. Wendy wasn't intimidated whatsoever by the uneven ceiling line in my historic home, or that I had purchased a difficult paper with very strong linear patterns and a larger than average repeat. I'm so happy with her work that I paid more than her invoice, and I'm already thinking of other projects we can collaborate on!

Wendy did an amazing job. We are SO happy with the quality of her work!! In addition to being fabulous at her job, she was prompt and contacted us if she was going to be late. She even saved my existing picture hook holes so that I didn't need to remeasure before rehanging! I highly recommend her!

I have known Wendy for approximately ten years. I received her name as a referral from the paint store we use when I could not find anyone to paint a 30 foot foyer. I cannot say enough good things about her. Her work is meticulous and she leaves everything so much better than any other painter I have ever used. Her prep work is great. I fear a lot of painters don't do much prep work, but she is excellent in making suggestions about things that could be done better and cost saving measures. I have recommended her to my friends and will continue to use her services. She has hung wallpaper in the bath (twice) and the dining room, as well as painted the living room, kitchen and family room, and foyer. She also did an extraordinary job in painting wainscotting in the dining room, foyer and stairs -to perfection. Her prices are very reasonable especially given the quality of her work. She is organized, on time, and does great clean up.

Wendy did an amazing job. She caulked the woodwork with a caulk that matched the color of the wood. By doing that, she hid all of the old pain that showed on the trim. She did a fantastic job on the painting. She left no mess and was both punctual and pleasant. We liked her so much we are using her again.

Before we moved into our new (8 year old house) I went looking for a painter here on Angie's List who could paint our house before we moved in. Wow, little did I know that painters get booked so far in advance. Well I started with painters who had the most positive reviews on Angie's List and worked my way down trying to find someone. I found Wendy and spoke to her. Like all the others she was booked for about two months at the time. But she came to the house and we talked. Wendy agreed to help us out by painting some of our key rooms (family room, master bedroom, hall and dining room) before we moved in. She did this during nights and weekends as to not impact other customers. I was so thankful for her dedication to wanting to go above and beyond to help a customer. She then came back three weeks later to finish the rest of the house. I cannot tell you enough how great her work is. The house looks brand new on the inside. She is so careful and a perfectionist about her work. She is also so pleasant to work with. I am actually thankful that the other painters with more ratings were so busy at the time, because I am glad it brought us to finding Wendy/Mariemont painting. Wendy is truly the hidden gem among the painters in our area. Let me just say that her work is excellent beyond my wildest imagination. I am real picky about straight lines between the woodwork and the walls and Wendy did an excellent job. Everything just looks great and we are sooooo happy!!!!! Let me add a side note not completely related to the quality of her work. In the middle of all this, our family went through a very emotional ordeal that impacted our adult child and grandchildren. All were at our house quite a bit. Wendy was there through the entire ordeal. She even brought my granddaughter a little present to make her feel better and Wendy was just so sweet to my family throughout the entire ordeal (still ongoing). Wendy kind of became part of our family and we now consider her a friend and not just a contractor. Wendy only does interior work. But if you are looking for a quality painter who takes her time to do it right, at a totally fair and reasonable price, please call Wendy. I believe you will be completely happy with her and her work.

Wendy did an excellent, A+ job. We have hired professional painters in the past and have painted some ourselves. Wendy's painting exceeded our expectations. As far as we can see, it is a perfect job. Wendy is indeed a perfectionist. Plus she is a pleasure to be with. Oh, I need to add, she is exceptionally neat and cleans up before she leaves each day. She is our painter from now on. I imagine she is fantastic at paper hanging as well.

Wendy was efficient, speedy and pleasant. She did a terrific job hanging the paper. We cannot locate the seams . We will consider her first when we redo the kitchen.

We found Wendy Sacks through the Angie's List decorator who helped us with our home makeover. Her estimate was within a few dollars of another local painter, also recommended by our decorator. We had heard rave reviews about the quality of her work and about her work ethic. But we also needed someone we could trust to work alone since we were going on vacation for 2 weeks. We felt comfortable enough that we turned over the house key and the alarm code and never looked back. Wendy is hardworking and a perfectionist. She works nonstop from the time she arrives until the end of the day - no breaks. More than once, she stayed past dinnertime to finish off a room so that we were not inconvenienced any more than necessary. This was a big messy job that involved more than 30 hours of stripping wallpaper in 3 rooms. Yet her clean-up was meticulous. She takes great pride in her work and is not satisfied until the customer is satisfied. She asked for input from us and from the decorator whenever she had a question. One time, the paint store incorrectly mixed a color. It was just slightly off color, but Wendy caught it and called the decorator who confirmed the store's error. She worked really hard to keep our costs in line with the original estimate. If a ceiling did not need a second coat or a baseboard did not need to be painted, even though it had been years since the last coat, she did not paint it. In addition, she always took advantage of paint sales and passed her discount along to us. Her wallpapering skills are outstanding. She joked that she would wake up in the middle of the night trying to figure out how best to hang a tough pattern. As her customer, I loved it that she labored over those types of decisions. I really cannot say enough good things about Wendy Sacks as a person (she is kind, honest, has a sense of humor and is calm under pressure) or as a professional painter. I especially appreciated her flexibility in moving around from room to room (and not in the order that she would have preferred) so that my husband and I could continue to live in the house while so much other work was going on (new carpet, new doors, new floors, etc.). By the time she finished our job, we really felt like she was family. We have already referred her to our friends. Wendy really knows how to make a chaotic situation tolerable!

Overall this experience was perfect from beginning to end. Wendy showed up when she told me she was going to be there, she cleaned up everyday before she left and she finished when she planned and it is fabulous!!!

She came in with a quote, started the job when she told me she would start and finished when she said she was going to finish and even let me have her discount on the paint. Nobody else would have done taht.

She cleans up after herself. She does a beautiful job painting. She is very meticulous. I was very impressed with her. I would use her again.

The project went extremely well. Wendy is amazing! She has a lot of experience and it really shows! She typically does two coats of paint for the most professional results. I am very pleased with the quality of her work.

Every once in awhile you come across a company that not only meets your expections, but exceeds them. Mariemont painting and wallpapering is one of those businesses. Wendy Sacks, the ower is a perfectionist and a wonderful person to work with. She is so skilled and conscientious that I trust her in my home alone, unsupervised. I have used Wendy a number of times over the last 16 years and she has always done a wonderful job. I can not recommend her highly enough.

Some of the challenges in redecorating this room required an ability to work in fairly small and confined space (i.e. the queen-size bed had to stay in place throughout the project), adapting cutting and pasting techniques to maintain pattern design harmony in a room with several odd corners and angles, and careful attention to preservation of century-old woodwork. In short, the project needed an artist's eyes and skills. Working entirely on her own, the completed transformation took Wendy less than two days. Not only is it "a job well done", but the quality of her work clearly reflects the difference between "just doing the job" and conscientious dedication to a craft. Even the after-project cleanup was meticulous.
