Lumber Liquidators - Cincinnati

They were excellent. The quality was very good and I have no complaints. I got some good deals.

I had difficulty with the first installer they set me up with. I let Lumber Liquidators know that the first installer was unsatisfactory. They set me up with a different installer. During this time, the first installer called me and apologized and wanted to come back out and re-measure/re-estimate. I agreed. Shortly after this, Lumber Liquidators called me from out of state and rudely told me that I could not have two contractors bidding on the same job! Be advised that these installers are each their own companies and while they install for Lumber Liquidators, they are not solely used by Lumber Liquidators. In other words, Lumber Liquidators is trying to keep me from getting the best price for my install by shopping around for different installers. This seems to be a very unethical practice. I canceled everything through Lumber Liquidators and will go through these different contractors on my own terms.

The store had a good selection but not all choices are in stock and must be ordered. The employees were helpful and prices were reasonable.

We had to go to this provider twice. The first time it was so crowded and so few workers at the counter that we decided to leave after waiting for about 15 minutes. The second time we went it was less crowded and we were waited on after about 5 min. However, the selection of flooring was very limited, so we decided to look elsewhere.

We ordered the wood in April and it was on backorder. The shipment was supposed to arrive in late April or early May. The wood was part of a larger project and needed to be installed before the kitchen cabinets and appliances. The wood did not arrive until the end of June. The most frustrating part was not being able to get an answer on when the wood would arrive so we could schedule the installation of the floors, cabinets and granite. We had new cabinets and appliances in our garage for 2 months. Lumber liquidators told us the wood had a 10% defect expectation and if it exceeded 10% they would refund the price. Amazingly out of 850 square feet the product only had 3 defective boards with a small amount of damage on the end. The product is beautiful and worth the wait. However, the overall experience would have been good if we knew in advance what how of a wait to expect.

I found him to be very competitive compared to others in flooring. I think #1 their prices were better than others, #2 the quality of work was good - they put it down well and cleaned up well.

Lumber liquidators products are great, well priced for the type of product. Their store personnel were very nice and helpful. They offered useful advice on installation, installers, and made sure you left with everything you needed so there's not a lot of driving back and forth. The biggest drawback to Lumber Liquidators is that the store is understaffed, especially on Saturdays. The result is sometimes long waits to get help. Also because of this it is very difficult to contact them by phone. I guess because they are busy helping customers in the store they don't answer the phone. They ask you to leave a message and they will return your call, which they always do but it takes quite a bit of time. Their staff is very good and their products, prices and choices are great but prepare to be patient and expect to spend quite a bit of time waiting.

Overall as a company Lumber Liquidators offers a great product at good prices. The problem I have is the manager in the cincinnati store who is underhanded and unable to conduct himself in a professional manner. I have delt with several customers who have been less than satisfied with there dealings with this indavidual. And to further complicate things the general manager of this region is fully aware of all that goes on and dismiss all claims against his store.

They were great to work with. There was a horrible snow storm that caused them to have to do all of the work in the house. It took them about four days. Under undesirable conditions, they still were very efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. The whole job was 1200 sq feet. The wood and the installation was 13000. I received other estimates that were almost double the price of Lumber Liquidator.

WHILE HAVING GREAT PRICES, THEY ARE NOT VERY GOOD AT RETURNING PHONE CALLS OR HAVING IN STOCK WHAT YOU NEED. I HAD TO WAIT OVER A MONTH TO GET THE FLOORING I WANTED. THEY CAN'T TELL YOU WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE IN, OR WHETHER OR NOT IT WILL BE ON THE TRUCK THAT THEY THINK IS GOING TO ARRIVE ANY DAY NOW. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
