Description of Work: Perry Leitner and Leitner Electric Co. installed 2 Solatube skylights in my home three years ago. From day one the installation was faulty/improper. For the last 3 years I have tried to get Leitner to fix the problems (dust and bugs collecting in the tubes, water condensation/water leaks in the tubes, lower and lower light output from the tubes). All I ever got was delays and excuses. I e-mailed Leitner many times and grew more and more frustrated. Finally, after a series of sterner and sterner e-mails from me, Leitner contacted another outfit, First Day Natural Lighting (FDNL), a factory-approved and authorized company that installs Solatubes in the Cincinnati/Dayton/Northern Kentucky area, to come to my home and fix all the problems. Kevin of FDNL was outstanding. It took him 3 full days to uninstall, disassemble, reassemble, and re-install the 2 Solatubes the corrrect way. Leitner has been slow to pay FDNL the $1000 labor fee for fixing his faulty installation and Leitner refuses to repay me $261.02 that FDNL billed to me, erroneously, for 3 roundtrips from the Dayton area and for replacing 2 damaged Solatube lenses that were scratched and dented by Leitner in the original installation. Since August 2, 2012, Leitner has refused to reply to or accept any of my e-mails and he has refused to sign for a certified letter I sent him. I have serious doubts about the integrity, responsibility, and professionalism of Leitner and Leitner Electric Co. I had to file a formal complaint with the Cincinnati Better Business Bureau. Leitner still refuses to send me my $261.02. I would advise you to take your business elsewhere. Be advised that Leitner has several divisions in his company, including Blue Chip Solar and Water and Blue Chip Energy Services. Avoid them all.

Description of Work: Called this company to schedule an estimate. We had a date and time and no one showed up. I had to call the company to see if they were coming. I was told that they had no record of my call but that they'd be happy to schedule another time. So we set up another time/date for him to come out and give us an estimate and once again, no one showed up. The company needs to get a better scheduling systems and recording appointments.
