LEI Home Enhancements

Was cold called by an LEI Home Enhancements representative and scheduled a full appointment for a quote as we were in the market for new energy efficient windows; our home was 24 years old and had the dated grid windows. The representative was timely to our appointment and was quite knowledgeable about their window products pointing out all the benefits of the new windows. We negotiated a fair price and had our entire home redone. Once the windows arrived, we were promptly contacted and set up the time for installation. The installation team Justin and his brother were awesome! By the time they were done a few days later, we were actually sorry to see them leave. As for the windows, they completed overhauled the look of our home and our neighbors were extremely complimentary of our new look. We have not put down any of the blinds with the exception of the bathroom and keep the windows unblocked. We have a swimming pool and very nice back yard and now thoroughly enjoy our views. Highly recommend LEI Home Enhancements as every aspect of their business, from sales to installation to billing have been very pleasant to work with. Look no further for the best value for the money!

An excellent crew of two individuals installed our 15 new windows that we had purchased through LEI. They made this such a smooth transition in the middle of winter but we definitely needed the upgrade. I was impressed they only needed the one business day to complete the project! Not to mention that they maintained clean and organized areas around our home. It's like they've done this before?! (I believe between the two of them, they had around 50 years of experience.) As for the quality of the windows, my wife and I can definitely "feel" a difference from the old drafty windows. We're hoping (but confident) that will translate to our utility bills. Would definitely recommend and I believe we will use them for our front door replacement.

They were professional all around from their sales agent to the install tech that came to measure to the installers. They installers were very conscience about their workmanship and were careful of our house and cleaned everything up when they were finished with the job. I would recommend them and would use this company again for other projects.

It went very well. They were prompt in the morning and did a good job of cleaning up. 2 of the windows needed to be replaced quickly and they were there right on time, if not early, the next morning for replacement.

The whole process was professional, easy and comfortable from initial presentation to choosing features to proposal to price negotiation to completion of on-site work. Everything occurred exactly as scheduled. The installation only took 2.5 days, and the two installers were very respectful of the house and our property inside and out. Clean-up was done every day as was removal of the old windows from the yard to the truck as they were deinstalled. We have already noticed a welcome difference in indoor temperature and are very pleased with the features and the look of the new windows.

Overall we are very pleased with our new windows. The installation crew that eventually installed our windows was great and easy going and did what they said they were going to do. We could only give a 4-star rating, however, because the communication was not up to the level we would expect. I had to call multiple times to check the status of our project rather than being kept in the loop. We found out that the original installer was not doing the job only after I called to confirm the start date with the installer himself. This is info we should have received from LEI rather than me finding out upon calling the installer. As a customer service manager myself, the level of communication to me the customer was not to the level it should have been. Installation, windows, clean-up was GREAT! Communication, not so much.

They replaced the windows. Did not love that blinds and drapes are not allowed to be put back up by installers. Supposed to do it ourselves.

We agreed to an in-home demonstration about LEI's Showcase Home Advantage. Andrea P called the night before to confirm the appointment. Kris M was very punctual and provided a very detail overview of their product and service, along with nearby references that was requested when the appointment was originally set. Though we are not prepared to move to the next step immediately, we will definitely consider LEI when we are ready.

I would use them again in the future.

They are going to do the work in August. I only got the one estimate and did not get any other estimates. I checked around a little bit and I got a good deal with them. They are very courteous and everything went well. One of my bedroom windows is a big one. I wheeled and dealed with them, but I have no comparable prices. I did call some companies and they threw me a ballpark figure on one window. I did alright. They are having the windows made right now.

Everyone from the sales rep. to the installers were great to deal with. There sales rep. went over everything about the window we were looking to purchase and how soon we could have them installed. The windows came in sooner then estimated, which was great for us. The installers did a great job. They put down tarps to help keep the floors clean during the removal and installation of the windows. After installing the windows in each room the did a total clean up of that room. They then showed us the complete operation of our windows. We are very pleased with our new windows and LEI Home Enhancements.

LEI Home Enhancements came to my door peddling Alside custom-made replacement windows. I inquired and spoke with Tyler"director of sales" who was very pleasant and appeared knowledgeable. After inspecting the Alside Window model, i was concerned about the amount of glass area lost by the replacement. He said multiple times that the glass window would only lose 1" height and 1" width because of special framing of the Alside window. I questioned him again because that is not what I have heard previously & pointed out that the model had a thicker frame. He assured me that the because of how it is installed, he is accurate. After working up prices, I chose to order the windows and set up an appointment for official measurements by the installer. The installer, Howard, who is trained by and technically works for Alside, was very nice, thorough and, truthfully, a better salesperson for the windows. Unfortunately, the salesman was wrong on many things, eg. the # windows, the specific configuration of the larger windows that have a picture window with flanking casements, the natural wood trim is not replaced... Even with these issues, the Howard put me at ease, guaranteed I would be very pleased. Tyler emailed a few times though the production time to notify me that Howard & the manufacturer had upgraded the order. Most notably Alside upgraded the sliding glass door so it would match the window frames. Tyler's estimated delivery date was right on and in 8 weeks Howard & his son-in-law arrived. They were very respectful of the house and making sure they did no damage to the existing woodwork and walls. I was quite nervous as the first window was hammered into place! Howard saw my concern, assured me they wouldn't be marred or broken by the metal hammer & would be perfect. After the first day's installation it was obvious the new windows had a significant loss in glass size. Measuring the old and new windows showed that all windows had 5" loss in height and 5" loss in width. I was not happy, if it wasn't for Howard's guarantee, I would have been quite upset. In the end Howard & Tyler were correct, I am very pleased with the end results. The windows were installed with perfection, they have stopped the cold air drafts, function better, lowered my heating bills, decreased the noise and improved the look of the house. Even with the changes and upgrades by Howard & Alside, LEI stood behind their quoted price. Be sure to require salesmen to prove the facts that they are stating and ask the installer all of the same questions! I would recommend and use LEI and Alside again.

Update: Originally, I gave them a bad rating for customer service. Apparently the salesperson that was handling my job had lost both of his parents suddenly. That caused the company to kind of drop the ball with my order. They hadn't contacted me the entire time the windows were being made. They rectified the situation by giving me a $750 credit and they also came out and installed the windows sooner than what was expected. They also had the foreman for the job that came out and personally checked the installation work himself. I received an apology phone call from the director of operations from the company apologizing for the inconvenience for not being contacted throughout the processes of manufacturing my windows. They did a great job to rectify the situation. I love my new windows.

The windows look great! The team of installers did a great job and cleaned everything up. We are very pleased with the install and windows. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The morning of appointment, the company representative, upon finding out that only I would be home, explained that it is company policy not to come to the house to give a quote without both spouses present. ???? Not happy that I took the day off just to have it wasted. I will be going with a competitor to replace 40 windows.

We found out about the company because it was going door to door offering its services. They did a great job with the installation, and they offered a substantial discount since we allowed them to place a sign in our yard and to have people come by and look at the windows. Furthermore, the new windows have really made a dent in our heating and cooling bill, and the company responded almost immediately to a couple of windows that had some manufacturer defects.

The sales representative we met with provided an informative presentation on the services LEI provides. He brought a demonstration window with him and the literature from the manufacturer of the windows. The Alside windows are made in Ohio which was a plus and were well rated from the consumer organization evaluations I checked, as well as the Angie's List references. I was somewhat surprised that although we were asked if we would be willing to be a reference for other interested customers, I never was able to get any references to check prior to our installation. I asked twice for references, once of our salesman and once from the LEI office but never received any references. The factory representative that came out to measure for each of the windows was timely, informative, and provided us with an estimate of how long it would take to manufacture the windows. His estimate was in line with when we ultimately scheduled our window installation. The factory trained installers were punctual on the day of our scheduled installation. They were able to complete the installation of all 13 windows on the day scheduled. The senior installer knew what was needed to stage the work and installation process flow to keep things moving. They were efficient with removing the old windows. We got a demonstration on how the windows worked and instructions about how long to wait before operating the windows. The amount of patch work and touch-up painting I have to do before reinstalling our window treatments was reasonable. We got a few dings in our 6-panel stained doors that I have to figure out how to repair. I also would have liked the one installer to have brought in the sink cover before he initially stood on my kitchen sink to remove the old window. The installers vacuumed all the areas surrounding the windows after installation so additional clean-up wasn't needed. The installers were informative, explaining how they installed the windows, the insulation that is used around the perimeter of the windows, how the windows are secured in place, and how to use the half screen if we wanted to open the top half of the window. We were also provided the window documentation for the manufacturer's warranty and the serial numbers for each window. We also received written care and operation instructions as well as information about household condensation that may occur with new windows. We did need to contact service because one of the window vent stops was damaged and inoperable. I was informed that the installers do not have any replacement parts for items on the windows that are damaged and could be repaired on the day of installation. The factory warranty service was excellent at sending me the replacement part complete with full instructions that allowed for the 2 minute replacement of the vent stop. Three of the window screens had flaws in the screen material . The factory serviceman that came out to repair the 3 screens did an excellent job and was able to schedule his stop before I had to leave for work. Overall, we are very pleased with our new windows, their installation, features, ease of cleaning, and the factory service. We would use this company again.

One of their salesmen came knocking on our door. After more than an hour of promoting their product, they quoted us $14,000+ to replace 22 windows. We got estimates from two other window companies and found more reasonable prices. Their salesman told us they are looking for two houses in my neighborhood to showcase the new windows, and he would give us really good deal. I have no doubt their windows are good quality (triple pane and other fancy things). But it was more than what we need and willing to pay for. In the end, we went with a local company.

We did not use this company. They had slick marketing materials and a time sensitive "deal" that had to be signed there on the spot. When researching LEI, all the reviews were positive. However, LEI is just the marketing division for another company. Alside is who does the work and covers the warranty. After looking up Alside for reviews, there were issues with quality, warranty claims, and customer service. Based on this information, we did not use this company. Beware of the high pressure sales technique of "If you sign now, you get a X % discount" or "this offer is only good for x days".

I was able to make some do-it-yourself improvements to save money and improve efficiency. The representative was very thorough, professional and helpful. I am able to complete many of the project. If I was not able to do this myself, I would have LEI complete some of the projects for me.

Excellent - transaction process was great, sales pitch was reasonable, Installation guys were great, took two days. Energy costs have dropped like a rock - our house is very near to the most energy efficient per Duke, and our latest Duke bill for the freezing January 2014 month was $230! We were a model house for LEI in exchange for references and signage, and got an amazing price. Had two windows with issues, one right after install, was replaced promptly, and another about 6 months later, where one of the glass panes developed a crack, again replaced promptly with no issues. Lifetime replacement warranty, factory is in Toledo. All good!

Job was done as promised and crew cleaned up before they left. No issues or problems to report.

They removed 17 old windows that were pretty difficult to remove and installed 17 replacement. Even though the removal was challenging they did so with no damage at all to the existing openings or siding. After the work was complete they left nothing for me to do other than enjoy the new windows. Mike R and his guys did an awesome job with my windows. They finished each installed window well above my expectations.
