Description of Work: LEI replaced all the windows in our home. Prior to installation a representative came out to meadure the windows. A date for installation was arranged. The crew arrived when they said they would. The windows were installed professionally and quickly.

Description of Work: The triple pane windows we purchased, 19 total, are of very high quality but I feel like the price was a little too high. Their sales gimmick is that they are picking 2 houses in the area to be a showcase home and you get a significant discount if you install the windows. However, five months later I still see their sales people in my neighborhood. While I am very happy with the windows I wish I would've done a little more research to save money.

My mother-in-law and mother were there and they spoke with them, if they had any problems they would call me directly, if I couldn't leave work. The work was great. Other than the fact that I have new windows and new patio door, I would not have known that someone was in my house.

+ 0 moreInstallation guys were great, even helped move furniture back and helped rehang the blinds. Very satisfied with the windows and the installation, not sure about the price, but did not do a lot of shopping and due diligence on that end.

+ -1 moreThe gentleman that came to the door was very together and had a window to show how it worked. The gentleman that installed the windows was a worker bee. He took off his shoes and put booties over his feet. He made sure everything was done well. The gentleman did a good job.

+ -1 moreHow did it go, in a word: excellent. I was overall VERY surprised because come on -- it's home contracting services -- there's always some catch, some "extra damage" that needs to be fixed, or a hidden cost that "no-one" could foresee but is always tacked on. LEI had none of that. The installers (Mike R.s crew, who if there's a way to request, request his crew) were diligent, cleaned up after themselves, actually friendly, and did a really nice job. Remember windows are only half the battle, installation is the other half. You can have awesome windows destroyed by bad installation. And the devil is in the details, the finishing trim work looks awesome. They did have some "difficulty" on some windows because of stone facade siding on my house; however, Mike knew what he was doing and it looks great. One screen didn't fit right, but it was promptly replaced (within 1.5 weeks) and didn't matter anyways since it was mid-March and wasn't a fault of LEI's anyways. The windows are awesome, look good, the wife noticed there were no more drafts, and the sound difference was cool too (much more sound deadening). The furnace sounds like it runs less, although that could be a placebo effect of having my wallet weight $12,900 less dollars.
Description of Work: Door-to-door salemen pitch at first, which didn't really impress me; however, I entertained the guy to give me a quote. The salesmen was nice and definitely threw out the normal things you would expect (energy savings, warranty, ease-of-use, etc.). Got the quote and had two other companies give me quotes that were several thousand more than LEI. After some research on the windows (Alside) I determined they were on the top-end of the middle quality windows (pretty good value and your not going to overpay because of the name: Anderson, Pella). We definitely needed new windows as we had contractor grade stuff, bit the bullet, and signed the contract......after some BBB research, Angie's List research (only one review for both, but the review was good), and called one of their references. The reference was very positive by the way. As a side note, BBB is a joke for the most part as companies can purchase to be accredited and it can substantially improve their "grade" on BBB if with several complaints. The order details: Twenty-one (21) triple pane, Argon Filled, vinyl replacement windows some w/ grids, and almost half of them tempered due to placement. Some of the windows were huge (6 x 5 feet) picture windows. We also went from 22 windows to 21 windows by combined two single-hung windows to one large picture window (at no extra cost). BTW, we received no-interest for one year financing through Wells Fargo and they required no money up front until the job was completed to my satisfaction. That's a draw scheduled I can agree to! Other places wanted 20% to 25% down upon signing the contract. And I did have a lawyer look over the contract briefly (used a legal plan that I purchase through my company and never use) to see if there was anything funny stuff; nope, standard contract stuff.

+ -1 moreThey cold called to ask to set up an appointment. We recently bought this house and the windows were a known problem which was obvious from the street. The pitch sounded - well like a pitch - but we agreed to let them give us a sales pitch and estimate. In the period from the cold call & the sales meeting I checked the BBB & Angies list both gave them "A" Ratings if based on low number of reviewes. We saw another house on the street bought from them. The pich was reasonably low key. I AM VERY SENSITIVE to pushy sales sorts. The full section demo window apperared good. The price seemed reasonable based on having bought replacement triple pane windows 30 years ago. They offered very low rate third party financing. The complete price, the quality and the fact we would pay NOTHING until the job was complete to OUR satisfaction slead the deal. After we signed they sent a man out to detail measure each window and discuss the installation process. The installers were excellent. Called to schedule and were on time always. It took 4 days. The 3 or 4 man crew were clean polite friendly and gentlemen. They cleaned up every day far better thhan we ecpected. When they were finished the foreman went over the paperwork, warranty and each window with us. There was one cracked pane they noted on the paperwork and said it would be a few weeks to be custome manufactured to replace the entire sash assembly. We will recommend this firm to any and all The forman did a minor repair on the siding as a favor at no extra cost.

+ -1 moreI was very nervous. This was the first window replacement project I've been through. These guys were great. They were very professional and were able to quickly put me at ease - simply by observing their work. They were very conscientious and treated my home like it was their own. They cleaned up after themselves as they moved from one window to the next. One of my triple windows, being replaced by a slider, required the removal of two large beams and the placing of one window sill where there were three. You can barely, and I mean barely tell they had cut these two beams out. The window sill and underside of the window sill was left pristine, while I was left with minimal finish work to complete at the top of the window (as agreed upon - honestly, I was left with very little finish work; much less than I ever imagined). One of the sliders window sash's was damaged in transit, but a replacement sash was ordered. I have been notified that it has arrived and is ready for replacement. An appointment has been made to have it installed May 2nd. I would recommend them to others, and would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced 9 windows (3 of which were 3 separate windows themselves, replaced with sliders), front door w/sidelite, and patio door.
