Stevenson put in my original Trane system 5 years ago. 2 heat pumps at a cost of $10,000. Installed during the summer. When it came time to get some heat that fall, one unit wasn't working. Multiple calls failed to get a response (someone out to look at it). I had guests over to stay the weekend in a cold house. It took them over a week but was fixed under warranty, Now, 5 years later, a unit is no longer cooling. The part is under Trane warranty, but the labor and non-warranty parts will be $700. More expensive than competitors. I decided to have them do it anyway as they installed the original system and I thought it would provide me with some level of service. 3 weeks later, no repair done. I called them, reply was to check into it and get back to me. Fair enough. No reply, I call back a few days later, and it's 3:15 PM, and they close at 3PM. Answering service takes a mesage. I don't hear back from them for several days. They didn't return call to the numbers I gave them (work and cell), they called to home where no one is present before 3 PM. I'm done with Stevenson. 3 episodes of contact, only one was satisfactory (for $10,000).

They are very good, dependable, the rates are reasonable, and we're happy with the work they've done.

The workers from Knochelmann do great work. I have been very pleased with them. They are just wonderful overall. Their pricing is okay. They seem professional. They are very responsive and punctual.

They went above and beyond redoing some bad work done by another company. They spent the entire day at my home doing the work. During the work they accidentally threw away my broom and the owner went out and bought me a new broom and brought it to my home. I have a service contract with them for my heating and cooling units.

I utilized another company that had a better price for comparable equipment

Knocelmann Service Experts did a great job! They were very professional, punctual, and thorough. I am on a one year contract with them, which means they come out to my home every 6 months to check and make sure everything is working well. That puts you on the preferred customer list. If you are on the preffered customer list, you also get preferred treatment. They have also replaced the units for me a few years ago, when the units were too small for the house. It is more beneficial to do the annual service contract.

Service person was knowledgeable and very friendly. Was careful to wear shoe covers even though it was dry out.Thoroughly checked my system out and found that it was not performing up to standards. The system was low on freon and he added it at no extra charge, unlike other companies who sometimes charge extra. Cleaned the condenser and gave me some tips on keeping the system in top shape, including what filters to use maximize both air flow and dust removal.

We have a maintenance agreement with them. They are very knowledgeable and punctual. They were very concerned about bringing in dirt and wore little boots even though it was dry outside. I was surprised to see that. I don't have anything bad to say about them.

They gave me a fast and fair bid, schedule the installation within a week, and installed the new units.

They are very professional and their pricing is reasonable. They are willing to work with you.

They originally installed a new toilet which moved around at trhe base after they were finished. The plastic flange was broken and then they came out and charged me 489 dollars to repair their originally shoddy work.

Salesman was basically an idiot to put it as nicely as possible. He would not do the load calculation to determine what size unit I actually needed, he kept telling me that he had quoted me for the same sized one as had been installed back in the 80’s (when Bigger was better and gas prices weren’t as much of a concern) he said he would do it after I committed… what would I commit to? A unit that was too big and expensive for the house? He had no idea which of his products would qualify for the $1,500 tax credit (which competitor salesman did no problem) and even required contacting the local manufacturer sales representative so he could ask. Doing a little research on my own, I found a website that allowed me to determine if the furnace/AC unit would qualify (http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=products.pr_tax_credits ) but again the moron didn't give me specific model numbers and couldn't even after I specifically requested. On top of that the two times in person we discussed cost, he never gave me a quote or anything, I had to write down the information myself (which is difficult when they’re rattling off al sorts of options, costs and numbers). Every time I spoke with this Salesman, he rambled on and on about how great his company was, and how they can beat any price.

In both cases quick response, but extremely high cost. Was without heat for several days in first case, arrived and said needed replacement of item that ignites pilot light, which was about $300. About month later had house cold, turned out thermostat not up enough, they came and checked it out, $96, to tell me it needed turning up.

Knochelmann was helpful in evaluating the problem and quick to give a reasonable estimate. Two other companies didn't show up when scheduled to give an estimate and another gave a very overpriced estimate. The work was scheduled around the time of the power outages in Sept and so we were delayed on the start time briefly due to the need to a) have power at our residence and b) allow safe passage of the excavating equipment on the roadways. As soon as they were able, work began and was complete in two full work days. They explained the process along the way and were able to answer any questions that arose. Despite a difficult dig with both a water line and gas line crossing above the sewer line, the backhoe operator was very experienced and able to handle the job without any significant issues. With safelty in mind they backfilled the hole between workdays rather than leaving an exposed hazard over a weekend. They were helpful in the removal of some landscaping and removed all debris from my home in a timely manner. Mr. Knochelmann gave us tips for helping the ground to settle after the work was complete and they have worked beautifully. I am extremely pleased with the work done and am now looking forward to relandscaping my front yard this spring. We will plan to use them to add a bathroom to our home in the upcoming months.

He arrived on time and was courteous, however, we were shocked by the final price, especially since we provided the faucet.

Technicians came to install unit on date scheduled, arrived at time frame scheduled, were professional, courteous, and worked through a few unanticipated issues until install was complete and we were educated on to use and maintain equipment. Took most of the day into the evening.

We just wanted a good affordable and qualified serviceman and I was very impressed. They had very qualified, trained and knowledgeable people.

I thought that the guy from Knochelmann Services did a really good job. His work was clean. He was polite and professional. He would show me everything he was doing as he went along. His quality of service was excellent. I will definitely use this company again if needed.

Our furnace stopped working on a Sunday morning, so I had to call a 24/7 service. Stevenson had good ratings so I gave them a call in the morning. They said that they would send someone but couldn't tell when exactly. I was home all day - they didn't show up. I called again at 6pm and they said that someone had come by and knocked. As I said I was home all day, our phone was working and I never heard a knock. If they really came, they simply need to make sure that we can hear them. At 6pm then I was told that they'll send someone out again, who called and showed up at 8:20 pm. He was a friendly guy. The problem was straight forward and he had the one little part exchanged and the furnace back on within 10 min. Then he did "diagnostics" and paper work for another 50 min. He was out at 10:20 pm and charged me a whopping $346. The invoice said: Energy/materials: $5, Diagnostic Charge $89 and Total due $346 with no further explanation. So I have to assume that they charge $341 per hour. I called them on Monday about it but they didn't tell me anything or admitted that this was an unusual charge. They basically said that the work is done by flat rate and not hourly and that's simply how much it is. Granted it was a Sunday, I still think this company is overcharging grossly and I will never use them again.

The original call was to have a yearly tune-up in the heating system. Customer service was very friendly and professional. They set-up an appointment within 48 hrs. The service technician was on time and very courteous. He suggested the UV light to cut down mold in the air ducts. Given that I lived in New Orleans after Katrina, I know how bad mold can be!!. He was very informative and gave us information on where to buy the filters for the humidifier and furnace (special order).

They are very professional and courteous. They are on time and call before they come out. They are also very trustworthy as well. We have an annual contract, so they come out twice a year, once to check the air conditioner and once to check the furnace.

They were great, it was expensive, the guy came out and was very nice, they came very promptly and they were very professional. The only problem was that it was very expensive.

Recently they came out for an annual A/C check. Basically it was ready to die and they said we would need a new one. They gave me an estimate for a very expensive A/C unit. I asked my handyman to recommend someone else to come out to check it out. This individual said there was nothing wrong with it and I wouldn't need a replacement. This experience with them has made me question my judgment about them. I got the sense that I was getting the run around and they weren't being upfront. The A/C has been perfectly fine all summer.
