First the good - the technician was nice as can be, did very detailed and quality work, explained what was going on with the tune up, and was very prompt. The sort-of bad - this tuneup would have been a pricey $129 if I didn't have a $50 off coupon, and the technician said my air conditioner was dying and I'd need a new one. He offered to schedule an estimate for a new one with Knochelman that would take two hours. I got a second opinion. After spending another $80, the other AC company said my A/C unit was fine.

We requested them an estimate and they were within one and half hour to give it. We had used them in the past and we decided to go with them again because they were so good. They were out here the next day to put the high efficient furnace. They were great and they did the work. They cleaned up after themselves and there was no sign that they were here. They took all the old stuff away. We had them check the furnace on the other side. The other men came to give the estimate for the waterless tank. They then installed it. They were nice, clean and quite. We got all done in two days.

We've used Knochelmann for years and have had good experiences once the service team is at our home. The concerning trend is the reliability of their appointment times. In one week I waited over 10 hours for service calls that were either rescheduled from the home office (they had emergency repairs that went ahead of the typical call--but did not call prior to the time of service to let me know the appointment was going to be cancelled) or complete no-shows. There was no priority reschedule--so encountered another week delay and then another 4 hour wait--unfortunately, they don't always call when the know they are going to exceed their time window --so when they arrive an hour or so after the scheduled appointment time, the efficiency of using them goes way down. Their service when at the home is good--but I encourage them to revamp their scheduling system--this summer we've experienced very poor customer service and when sharing this feedback back with the office they were unresponsive and unconcerned.

Buyer beware. Do not hire this company. Their technicians are not properly trained. We're not comfortable with the repairs we were charged for since our fairly new unit on occassion still makes the loud whirring noise we were told by the second technician was due to a faulty blower motor and wheel that they replaced. They do not guarantee their work and charge steep labor costs. We still here a loud noise but we're in the hole for a total of $690 with this company. When I asked for a review of the charge for the 2nd repair for the same problem I was told by the technician that he would see about waiving the charges from the 1st repair that clearly were not done properly. In the end there was no waiving of the fee. We were charged for the full $370 in labor for less than 30 minutes in my home.

My AC wasn't working on a Sunday, so I called. I didn't expect for someone to answer the phone, much less arrive at my house less than an hour later. He had my system up and running shortly after. Great service, wonderful price!

They charge 89 just to come out and check the unit. Spend 30-60 minutes making it look like they are doing a lot of work, when in fact all they did was replace a blown capacitor for which they charged 200 dollars just for the capacitor alone. Only reason I called them was because they installed the air cleaner and humidifer previously through an arrangement with Home Depot.

I replaced OEM HVAC system in home w/system as recommended and installed by "ED'S" Heating & cooling -- absolutley the best!!! I rate them AAAA. Have also used their repair/tune-up service -- outstanding!

It took me a grand total of five tries to get ahold of these guys. On attempt #1, I got an operator who said someone would call me back, but nobody ever did. On attempts #2 thru #4, I got a computer that told me "All circuits are busy. Please try again later." On attempt #5, I got a helpful young lady who scheduled a salesperson to come out and give an estimate. The salesperson himself was punctual almost to the minute, and took extra care not to track dirt everywhere. After looking at the existing system and asking a few questions, he provided three estimates for Lennox products from different series and, after learning that I'd personally rewired this house, offered to reduce the prices if I agreed to help the installer with the electrical work necessary to install an air conditioner. Ultimately, Stevenson lost my job to another company over a $2000 price difference. I have every reason to believe they'd have done quality work, but I'd have been worried about needing to get ahold of them again in case of an equipment failure.

I set an appointment for a routine Furnace & AC service. The technician arrived ontime and did a great job going over everything with my wife (I was not home). The service professional ,and very informative. However, as he was doing his inspection, a "Comfort Advisor" showed up. He proceeded to spend the next 2 HOURS attempting to convice my wife that we needed a new everything (our system runs fine and the technician only recommended 2 minor fixes). After repeated attempts to end the conversation, my wife was told " I know your husband makes all the decisions, but can't we do something today?" My wife was very frustrated and annoyed with the advisor's "high pressure" sales tactics. The service we received was great but we ended up getting more than we asked for from the "Comfort Advisor." I would use this company again and would recommend them, just be prepared for a good badgering from the salesmen (at least this one).

We had Knochelmann come to our house about 18 months ago to quote us on a new furnace/AC. Although we declined to replace our system at the time, we were so impressed by John Snowden's professionalism in the process of getting our quote that we decided when we eventually needed the work done, we wouldn't call anyone other than Knochelmann. In preparation to sell our house, we had Knochelmann come out to re-evaluate our current system. As we sort of expected, they determined our old Williamson was on its last legs. This was on Thursday at noon. Within 2 hours, John Knochelmann was at our house with a quote, and the next morning, the installers were working on installing our new furnace and AC unit. All the work was complete by Friday at 4pm. The entire crew were professional and courteous. They all worked efficiently and had our new system up and humming along faster than I could have imagined. It got into the 30s that night, and we were nice and comfortable.

Anthony did excellent detective work in figuring out what the problem was and then fixing it. We would have him back again to do plumbing work for us.

They are very professional, on time and very nice. They clean up well after themselves, too. They always do a good job, but their price is a little high which is why I quite using them.

We asked for help in fixing uneven heating in our home. After a couple of missed connections (equally divided between "them" and "us" they come and conducted a thorough study, then let us know everything was fine (e.g., no furnace fixing needed) other than (1) insufficient air circulation, treated by their installing additional duct work and creating a new air return route, and (2) educating us regarding other ways to enhance air movement.

We use them regularly. They do good work. They come on time generally. They are clean. They seem to be knowledgeable on what they do. We have a yearly contract with them. They are on time and they keep their appointments. They call you ahead of time letting you know when their service tech is coming. You don't have to wait around all day keeping your counter open. They generally give a pretty narrow window and they stick to it. Their service techs are pretty knowledgeable and they seemingly don't give you high pressure of the things that you need to do. They will give you options trying to save you some money.

We have a service contract with them where they come and do an annual check-up. I don't think I’d use them when I get a new furnace. My satisfaction level has only been very mild at best. I would probably not use them again.

I was putting a filter in our furnace but it wasn't letting enough air through and made the furnace run constantly. They analyzed the problem and did the installation to correct the issue. They gave me several options and let me choose how to proceed. They also cleaned my ducts while they were at it. Everything is working fine. They are team oriented. If they come into your home and you ask them any question, if they do not know the answer they will call someone else who does. They are very responsive to customers' questions and needs. Before they left they made sure I knew how to change the filter.

We were very happy with them. It was a good process all around.

I have a service agreement with them. I pay around $168 annually. They didn’t come out the last fall because I have decided to sell my house. They are a family-owned business. I have met several of their technicians. They are all very well-trained and they do a good job. I have used other companies in the past that would try to get more money out of me. However, these guys have provided me with good service. They show me what they are doing. If I need a part, they will inform me about it and they will also give me the option to replace it or repair it. They never pressurize me. Overall, they have provided me with great service combined with very good price. They are a little bit cheaper than the other places I have used. I’ll continue using them, in case I sell this house and buy another one.

Knochelmann Service Experts were good to deal with. They were expensive but they did a good job. They did the job quickly and negotiated well for me. I don’t like my furnace, but I am happy it works fine. It’s disappointing that the product they market is bad; however, the person who came was very helpful. Probably I would have not bought this furnace if it was not for Knochelmann Service Experts.

Anthony and co-workers did an excellent job. He arrived on time for both the estimate and the actual work. Promptly returned our calls to answer more questions before we made the decision between tankless/tank water heaters. Estimated work time was longer than anticipated, but he stayed longer to complete the work without changing the original estimate. Took time afterward to explain the new system and answer any other questions. Wore shoe covers and used tarps to protect the carpet.Cleaned up nicely;the basement was cleaner when they left than it was beforehand.

They did a good job, provided good service, and I was happy with it.

Our A/C unit had failed, so we needed to do something. We previously had a builder-grade HVAC system, and it was not very energy efficient. We contacted Knochelmann based on their Angie's List grade. The salesman, John Knochelmann, Jr., was very pleasant and easy to work with. He spent almost three hours with us measuring and assessing, explaining different systems and options (heat pump versus A/C unit, for example), and answering all the questions we had. I believe him to be honest and trustworthy; he had the opportunity to sell us more than we needed, but he advised us towards more practical, lower-cost solutions. Days later, after we thought about it and did more of our own research, we decided that we wanted the "better" option between "good", "better" and "best", and John accepted our choice and came back out the next day to finish the paperwork and schedule the install. He was courteous, friendly, and did not apply the "hard sell" that I personally detest. It felt like talking with a friend or neighbor. The install was scheduled for a few days later, at a day that worked for us. The two-man crew showed up on time. The guys were nice, friendly and respectful of our property (yes, they wore the footies all day!). They pretty much did their thing throughout the day and left us alone, occasionally going in and out of the house for equipment and to install the new A/C unit outside. When there was a question, they would ask our preferences and would patiently explain the pros and cons so we could answer with an informed response. At the end of the day -- they were there roughly from 9:00am to 7:00pm -- they walked us around and explained everything they had done, showed us how to operate the thermostat and equipment, and answered any final questions we had. They also performed some ductwork to improve the air flow to an upstairs bedroom. They did an outstanding job cleaning up and hauling away the existing furnace and A/C. They actually had the area looking cleaner than it was when they arrived! We were very impressed. They filed the paperwork on our behalf with Duke Energy for the rebate on installing a new energy-efficient system, and we received the checks within 2-3 weeks of the install. They followed through and executed well. It has been two-three weeks since the install and our system is working great. Much quieter as well. We were very curious and concerned about the quality of the sales and the installation process -- as we had never had to replace an HVAC system before -- but they performed very well and I'm comfortable that we were not oversold. They were professional and courteous. I was happy to pay a more premium price for quality equipment and a high-quality install. The total price also included all required sales tax. They did not disappoint. I would recommend them if you are considering HVAC services.

They got here at 10:00 in the morning and were done by 3:30 in the afternoon. They did a really wonderful job! They had to run a vent out of the back of the house, and they didn't do a good job putting the insulation back up; it fell back down. I have to go out and get some more now, because there is no insulation there now. If I called them, they would probably come back out and replace it. I got several quotes for the work and their prices were the highest, but I feel that I got a much better quality product. Their salesman explained it in much more detail than the other guys. He explained that if I put a better quality product in now, I will save money in the future. I love the system! It has the UV light that kills the extra germs in the vent. They were right on time. They cleaned up after themselves. They disposed of all of the old stuff. It was a nice experience. If I had any need for them in the future I would call them.

I was more impressed with them than the other quote I received in terms of what they were offering for the money. Their sales job kind of knocked my socks off. The salesman was very thorough; in fact he might have been a little too thorough. He was very eager to get my business. I felt he gave me a very good price and it is a top of the line furnace. He measured the whole house to make sure the furnace was just the right size. He also told me that my return air vent in the basement was too small for the size furnace that I had. The installation went really well. One glitch was that I requested that they come specifically at 8 am because I had an 8:30 am appointment and they did not arrive at that time. The installer told me that he didn't get the message. They did get to my house by 9 am. The installer noticed that my water heater was leaking and that had not been quoted in the price, but he told me they were going to have to move the water heater anyway and it might behoove me to go ahead and get a new water heater so I wouldn't have to pay twice for the installation because that part was already included in the installation of the furnace. They quoted me a price of $450 for the water heater and I said to go ahead because I was already spending $8,000 for the furnace. So far I have been very pleased with the furnace and water heater. I would use their services again.
