Kevin James Construction & Remodeling

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. Kevin James would constantly increase costs without warning and when I would question the changes he would yell at me and stop working for days at a time. He would do this in the middle of process, i.e., when half of the old metal siding was ripped off of the house and laying in piles all the way around my house causing serious safety issues and issues with my neighbors. When I was finally able to fire him, he started sending threatening texts to me, harassing me and my family, threatened to call the EPA and tell them I had people living in a house with lead based paint, call the building department to tell them I had work done without permits, call the county and tell them I had people living in an unsafe environment - and that he would do all of these things if I didnt give him a $15000 check within four hours. Extortion is the word for what he did. We will be in court for quite a while, I am sure.

My experience was very positive. They are very accurate with their estimate. They have a special timely manner, good craftsmanship and very easy to work with.
