Magnificently, Katy is extremely knowledgable, professional, and skilled in her art. She takes her time to answer your questions and thoroughly explains the appraisal process to you. If for some reason there is a delay in providing your appraisal by the day promised, Katy promptly notifies you and explains in detail what she is looking or waking for to compete your appraisal. I am such a satisfied customer, this is my second time visiting Katy. I had no idea how to select an appraiser, and KB Gem came highly recommended from a friend who has used their services many times.

Katy performed an insurance appraisal on a ring and was extremely pleased with her work. I subsequently had her appraise a second piece and was equally pleased. The pieces were analyzed in my presence and the written appraisal provided to me approximately a week later after she performed a thorough market analysis. Every part of the process was professionally handled and she would be my first choice should I require appraisal services in the future.

Katy was wonderful! I was looking for a qualified jewelry appraiser who wasn't affiliated with a jewelry store, and found Katy's website. I contacted her and she quickly replied. We set up an appointment and she gathered some preliminary information to confirm my rate for the appraisal. On the day of the appointment, Katy gave the option to sit with her so that the ring would never leave my sight. The appraisal was completed within an hour, and Katy started working on the written report. That document was finished within one week, and I am very pleased with the detail included. Katy has been so quick to reply to all of my emails, and is very polite and professional. I highly recommend her jewelry appraisal services.

Ms. Bodenburg could not have been more professional. Among her other professional accomplishments, she is a graduate gemologist, a certified master appraiser, and a accredited senior gemologist. We met for her to briefly go over my jewelry, she then completed an 11 page minute assessment that was perfect for my insurance company. As soon as I acquire more jewelry I will be right back to her.

Fabulous!! During the initial consultation (on Sept 11th, about 1 hour), we presented 30+ pieces to appraiser Katy Bodenburg. She identified the best candidates for appraisal (17 in all - a mix of rings, bracelets and one watch), and gave us a written breakdown of cost to complete her work. The pieces were left in her care for three days; when we returned for them, all were clean and sparkling. Three weeks later we returned once more to review the draft of her final report, and to present one more ring for appraisal (for insurance purposes). Katy was wonderful throughout this process, and her work outstanding! Her written appraisals are very well organized and detailed - we highly recommend her!
