This was our first major home remodel of a not so great builder's grade kitchen. Ed helped us from start to finish. He had a very professional skilled partner named Mike. The two of them couldn't be more professional, trustworthy, and likable. First we had to figure out what we wanted done. They helped us and directed us to pick the cabinets, granite, tile and paint colors. Then they helped coordinate the purchases and delivery of all products, while tearing out the entire kitchen. We moved out for 2 weeks while the installation of new kitchen and entire first floor of hardwood floor construction was taking place. Ed and Mike were here every day and kept us in the loop on the progress. There were no problems with the job. The granite was even nicer than we had hoped, especially in the bathroom. The floors are also a major upgrade with little touches like matching hardwood vents and a darker color border in the dining room that matches the chairs. They also not only replaced exterior doors, but replace several rotted boards under the deck door where the builder blew the flashing or design of the entry to the house. They redesigned so as not to have water get under that new door and into the cross beams again. Just a couple of very conscientious, very fair, hardworking guys, who I have already trusted to give a second job.
Description of Work: We were given Ed Kammerer's name from another Anderson Township resident who just had a major kitchen remodel completed that looked great so we gave Ed a call. Work Ed either did himself or arranged and supervised for us included: Replacement of all counter tops, cabinets, install back splash tile, install under cabinet lighting, install new in ceiling lighting, resurface and expand hardwood floors, install/re-install appliances, repaint entire first floor, install speakers in ceilings, install 2 large exterior doors. They made numerous suggestions for improving the functionality of the kitchen such as replacing wasted corner cabinet space with an angled cabinet in the corner. They expanded the island and installed large drawers that actually close themselves so they don't bang, and so forth. Lots of creative ideas based on lots of experience. They did not blow our budget either, but always balanced our wish list with what we could afford.
