Description of Work: I was in the market for a new air conditioner and furnace. I had eight contractors visit my home and JonLe was one of the last. At this point I had all my questions ready to go and knew, for the most part, what I was looking for. Jeff did a great job of being available for my last minute estimate request. He was one of two that didn't deliver an immediate quote. He took measurements and did enough research around my home to satisfy his needs and asked it it would be acceptable to do the calculations and provide a quote the next day. He promptly delivered the estimate the next day and it arrived prior to when he told me it would be completed. Another question that popped into my mind was that while he had a main brand he carried, his second question was if I was married to any particular brand as he could get almost anything out there. The one item that sold me most with Jeff and JonLe was that he addressed my concerns, however petty they might have been to him. My cold air return didn't flow on one side of my house. While not a invoice line item, he promised me that it would be corrected. His pricing was excellent and due to measurements and calculations he re-sized the equipment in my home just a shade smaller (1/2 ton, 20K BTU's). By doing this I was also able to upgrade my equipment to better performance which also in turn allowed me to gain rebates. Sizing is important and it made me more comfortable that he didn't just "replace" like with like. I signed up for replacement and it went quickly and efficiently. I was told how long it would take and he scheduled with me when to start. Dave arrived with another gentlemen (I feel sorry for not remembering his name) and they removed all old equipment and setup the inside in one day. The next day Dave came back by himself to finish up the job. Jeff dropped by to deliver the paperwork, explain proof of warranty (he did all the documentation with the equipment manufacturer) and we settled the payment. At this time Jeff also helped Dave lug the compressor around the house in the rain while sloshing through my swamp of a yard. My house was no worse for wear and you could not tell they had visited. They even put up with me doing my own cleaning under the furnace after it had been removed. I appreciated that since I have cats and they had kicked a ton of liter under the old furnace. Jeff reminded Dave in front of me to address the cold air return. However Dave had pointed out earlier to me and repeated to Jeff that the cold air return was fairly shoddy to begin with and he patched several holes and caulked several gaps as part of his installation. Dave and I tested this later and it had solved the problem. So by doing a correct, and I stress correct, install my issue was resolved and really didn't require any additional work or cost. At the end, Dave walked me through my new equipment starting with the new thermostat and how to program and gave me a few pointers here and there what to look for and how to adjust. We then went downstairs and did the same. I was very pleased with the service(s) rendered and how I was treated and what I ended up with. I am still owed a follow up visit to "tune" the AC as the temperature was sub 50's and a reliable reading was not available for charging the AC. I was told a factory pre-charge was set but I would be put in the queue on the next warm day and I will be contacted to complete the proper charge/load process.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased with the sales person (Frank Boeckermann). He was patient with me and answered all my questions. Unlike another company he told me that my return was too small; which I can tell has made a difference during fall/spring time in keeping the house temp even and preventing the heating & a/c from kicking on. He also gave me a choice about where I wanted the new venting to come out. The installation team arrived on time and even Frank appeared. What surprised me was that he dove in and helped the crew bring in all the equipment. Not something you normally see someone in sales doing. Later I changed my mind on where I wanted the venting to come out. The installation team had no problems with it and didn't require extra PVC piping. I'm glad I changed it as it is really hard to visualize what this would look like. It would be nice if sales would take pictures like this with a ruler or something so the customer can make a more informed decision, but that's the only change I would make from my experience. When it turned out that the Carrier rebates I had been told qualified turned out to have been expired, Frank located the appropriate rebates and then admited his mistake and refunded me the difference from the original quote and the smaller rebate. He didn't have to do that, mistakes happen, but it's this type of service that will make a customer stick with someone :). A month later when I hadn't received my rebate from Duke Energy, for the high efficiency equipment, you would expect a lesser individual/company to not be as responsive once they had been paid for the work, etc... Frank got right on it and my rebate from Duke appeared quickly. I have been very pleased with the quality and professionalism of JonLe, even when they came out for fall maintence. I look forward to being their customer for a long time.
Description of Work: High efficiency heating and a/c units were installed, return air duct made bigger and new venting piping to outside was added.

 + -1 moreOur AC Central Air unit stopped working over the weekend. I called Jonle on Monday morning, they had a guy out by 3:00 that afternoon! He knew what the problem was before he even looked at it (capacitor). He fixed it in about an hour. Which was awesome because it was nearing 100 degrees in our house. I definitely would use them again and I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: I needed a new AC and Heating system. My AC had quit working and was quite old and they were able to give it a jump start and got it running until they could come and replace the system.

I had a homeowner warrantee in place but it was only going to pay for a low-efficiency furnace but Jonle worked with me and the warrantee company so I could pay the difference and put in a high-efficiency furnace. They were on time and professional and the price is good.
Description of Work: Jonle Heating and Cooling replaced my furnace when I first moved in and I have a maintenance agreement with them that I renew every year.

 + -1 moreI've used Jonle for many years but this was the first time at this address. They have always done a superior job and are reasonably priced.
Description of Work: I called for a furnace repair thinking I had ignitor problems on a gas furnace. The furnace started working again before they came so I changed the visit to "yearly service/cleaning". The technician arrived on time, went through the diagnostics and determined that the furnace wasn't cycling properly and the problem was in the pressure sensor. He trouble-shooted and found wasp nests in the exhaust and intake pipes. The ignitor was fine. He then performed a thorough cleaning. The furnace works great now.

 + -1 moreThey seem to work very quickly, and not expensive. They always go beyond what is expected when they come for a maintenance visit. They are also able to admit when they are wrong. They have installed 2 furnaces for me in the past. When it was over and they left, they discovered what was installed was the wrong units and called me to admit the mistake. They came right out and made it right. They have done other jobs for me and in all, installed 6 units, including air and heating. I will continue to use them for future projects.
Description of Work: I have used this company for many years. They have always given us great service. We currently have a service agreement with them. Their last visit was for a scheduled maintenance.

 + -1 moreWe found JonLe by consulting Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. JonLe was highly rated by both organizations. We had them out to discuss their products and review our needs. The salesman was pleasant, professional and thorough. He took complete measurements of the house. He gave us pre-printed materials to look over and answered all our questions. He faxed an estimate to us the next morning and the final price was in accordance. The installers were prompt, professional and clean. They did not leave a mess at all. We have not had the system long, but have not had any problems with it and are very happy so far. The programmable thermostat is easy to use and adjust. We got a rebate from Carrier, two rebates from Duke Energy and have saved money on our utility bills in May and June. We hope their ongoing service is as good as the installation.

 + -1 moreVery well. My agent, Mr. Jeff Gray, measured the house and recalcultated cooling/heating needs to make sure the unit they installed was properly sized. Installation took a day and a half (instead of the 2 initially predicted)and although it was in the middle of winter, I was basically not left without heating. Technicians left the basement impeccable. I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Replacement of AC and furnace with Carrier Performance Series including humidifier, electronic air cleaner and Thermidistat.Total cost was $9550. It was not the lowest bid but it's the one that I felt most comfortable with from a professionalism, expertise and equipment quality standpoints.

 + -1 moreJeff Grey came out for the estimate and he was very thorough, professional and informative. He spent a great deal of time with us because the project is very comprehensive and involves adding new ductwork as well as trying to work with existing ductwork. He pointed out all equipment options, federal and the energy company credits and even rebates that would apply to a particular manufacturer. We decided to go with another HVAC contractor because his estimate was quite a bit lower and he had a great deal of experience with rehabbing old homes as well as installing HVAC. He was a better fit, but Jeff and his company were certainly a strong second.
Description of Work: Estimate to install new furnace, A/C, ductwork etc. into a 100 year old house under major rehab. ($22000.)

 + -1 moreOur 16 year-old AC unit failed during a 90+ degree heatwave. We quickly arranged to get 3 estimates for a new AC and furnace (our furnace was 30+ years old). JonLe's rep Frank Boeckermann arrived when promised and gave us a straight-forward assessment of our situation and recommended a Carrier system within our budget. He also pointed out some problems with our old installation and some potential code problems and recommended solutions. The bid paperwork arrived within 1-2 days and we accepted it. Installation began 3 days later. The installation took 2 days and went very smoothly. The two installers were friendly, courteous and answered our numerous questions. Upon completion, the installers showed us what they had done and how to operate the system. After nine days in 90 degree heat with no air conditioning, we were very thankful for their quick and efficient work.
Description of Work: Replaced our furnace and central air conditioning unit. Removed our new humidifier from the old furnace and installed on the new furnace. Moved location of dryer vent away from AC unit.

 + -1 moreJob went well. Jeff (the estimator) answered all my questions from various emails (I'm very exhaustive in making such a choice), was personable and professional. There were four installers, they didn't mind my two young sons sitting on the bottom step and watching/asking questions/commenting. Warned us when they were going to use something that had noxious fumes so we could go upstairs. Work was done in less time than Jeff said it might. The installers went over everything afterword and made sure I didn't have any questions. Actually hauled the hold furnace away, which some places said they would just leave it at the side of the road.
Description of Work: Removal of 50 year old furnace and replace with a Carrier 93% efficiency furnace with humidifier. The kicker for us in choosing them is their 5 year labor warranty, in addition to the factory parts warranty.
