Beware, the price charge was not what I was quoted. The person told me that I was on the clock from the time he left the previous location, not when he arrived to start the work. I couldn’t believe it. I was given no receipt and was told that it would be mailed to me… I still have not received the receipt.

I have a plumber that I use, that I really like. It's just a little small, independent company. It's really small. Rapid response. Very professional. They don't charge you a lot.

Fast, punctual, great communication. A general estimate was given up front after I asked about pricing, and a bill was mail weeks later. Slightly more expensive than hoped for, but work was well done.

They were responsive and friendly! The plumber was very nice and gave me some tips to prevent reoccurrence.

They were prompt and professional and only did service that needed to be done.

Really friendly, personal. Sometimes Jim comes himself even though he has a team working for him. Hard working and they tackle any job. Reasonably priced.

Punctual, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable -- great job! This service call was originally scheduled a week or so earlier but the company had an all-day emergency job so I agreed to reschedule, which was fine with me as I was just updating a old sink faucet that also had a drip. I also got ball-park estimates on 2 other possible projects and will definitely call Jim Eckhoff Plumbing when & if I decide to replace those other items.

He was great. I saw him on Angie's List, saw that he was good and used him for the first time. He did something prior to that and we called him back. He made good on whatever was wrong. I think he replaced something, it didn't last very long, he switched it up without a problem and no questions asked.

We had a potential problem with an outside downspout drain that needed to be addressed prior to closing on our home. We had called several companies over 3 weeks who each said they would come and never did. We called Jim's office and explained the time constraints. He returned our call immediately and talked us through the problem and rearranged his schedule to come out ASAP. I wish we had called him originally.

It was a very simple thing. Kelly, the person who answered the phone on Thanksgiving morning, walked me through it over the phone. He was so patient and kind. Because of the thoughtfulness he portrayed, I will start using that company. He probably saved me $200 by just helping me do it myself. I was so grateful. His thoughtfulness was such a good trait.

They were very responsive and very responsive. They are friendly and they talk to me. They were also personable and the price is fair. They cleaned up after themselves.

While I was not able to wait for Jim to do my job in Indiana, I will definitely be using him in the future. We talked three times today. My warranty company's lack of responsiveness caused me to call Jim. I wound up fixing my leak myself, which is not what I wanted, but I loved the way he professionally talked to me and took the time to explain the immediate jobs he had going. I will definitely call him in the future.

Same day service, great workmanship, personable, and skilled plumber came to complete the job in short order. We recommended Eckhoff to and they were used by 2 different friends the following week.

Fantastic. Arrived on time. Very courteous.Showed my wife the camera they used to see the blockage.

After we moved in, we had water backing up in our kitchen sink and laundry utility sink. Jim was not very helpful or concerned about coming back out to fix our problems. After several phone calls, he sent a guy to take care of it. Then, our brand new bathtub was not draining. Again, it took several phone calls before he sent someone out. Recently, we noticed that the tile grouts under our toilet are constantly wet and noticed that our toilet was sweating and leaking. Again, it took several phone calls before someone came out. After the plumber left, our toilet leaked even more. Several phone calls later, another plumber came out and said that he cant figure out what is wrong with it and thought that the toilet had a hairline crack and maybe needed to be replaced but wasn't sure because my contractor had purchased the toilet. He left saying that he was going to talk to Jim and that he will decide what to do next. Its been 9 days and not even a phone call. We spent almost $10,000 on plumbing and they don't want to guarantee their work. I would not recommend this company because once they got paid $10,000, they think their job is complete. They should guarantee their work for at least one year.

They ended up replacing a flange, repairing two flappers, and installing two seats that I purchased myself. They were able to do the work for under $200 instead of the over $1500 it would have costs to replace the toilets. I wanted to make sure I left them a review because they really were a wonderful company to work with.

Due to the heavy downpour of rain in the area, my basement sewer line backed up. I called MSD, and was told verbatim "We no longer provide 'free rides' to customers, by providing augering/snaking service inside the property line, so you will have to get your own plumber." I proceeded directly to Angie's List, where I then started calling A-listed plumbers. After calling quite a few, who told me they could not come until 3-4 days later, I noticed that I had overlooked Jim Eckhoff's Plumbing. I called them, and was told that someone could arrive WITHIN THE HOUR!! With the water depth almost above my ankle at that time, I was SO relieved to know It wouldn't be long. About an hour later, Eric, of Eckhoff's Plumbing, pulled up at my front door. He was very nice, very professional, and got to work. Within a very short period of time, my basement drain was clear. Eric not only did a great job, but he educated me about certain aspects of what he had to do. That, in itself, was what sealed the deal for me. He answered all of my questions, and when I asked if he could look at a couple of other issues I was experiencing, he didn't hesitate. Then...he cleared 2 more drains. Our slow sink drains had become such common place, that we had just grown accustomed to it. After Eric cleared them, words could not express the joy we felt "watching the water go down right way" :) I was so pleased with the overall experience, that I scheduled Jim Eckhoff's Plumbing to come back, and replace an old, rusty sink pipe that is on the brink of disaster. I highly recommend Jim Eckhoff's Plumbing!! You won't be disappointed, and the price was LESS THAN I expected. Much less!!

I am so glad to finally have a reliable plumber that I know I can depend upon.

My half bath was very small to work in. Very careful, clean, no problems. Plumber noticed small scratch on lid and got a replacement. I was not billed until lid was replaced. I was not quoted a price and was surprised at bill; based on work previously done, I had liked this company and trusted they would again be good - I did not compare prices.

Fine. Plunber replaced old faucet which was broken. Also, Plumber found leak in waste arm and made repair.

It went unbelievably great! They were just wonderful. The price was more than fair. They were unbelievably polite. It was a dirty job and they cleaned everything up.

Plumber was on time, polite and knowledgeable, very competent.

I had a water pipe that froze and burst. I called many plumbers to see who could come out and fix on the same day. Jim Eckhoff's Plumbing said they may have someone who can come out and they will call me back. Having not heard back, when another company called me and said they can come out, I scheduled with them. While this plumber was at my home, Jim Eckhoff's Plumber showed up. One of Jim Eckhoff's plumbers said he saw that another plumber's company van was already here. My wife told him that he was correct and that we didn't hear back from Jim Eckhoff's Plumbing. He told her that it was no problem and left. I received a phone call about 5-10 minutes later from the Jim Eckhoff's office asking if she had the correct address. I said yes, but I never heard back from her. Her tone changed and becoming defensive and angry. She said she talked to me directly. I looked at my received calls on my phone and I did not have a phone call from Jim Eckhoff's Plumbing. I stated that to her, but she insisted that I talked with her. I told her I did not recall any such conversation other than the initial phone call I initiated. She said it was fine, but never mentioned about attempting to bill me for services not performed. Ten days later I received a bill in the mail for a labor charge ($80) and a trip charge ($30). I will look to Angie's for helping to resolve before I escalate to the necessary State level.
