I do not remember your name coming into the showroom for me to call. I just map quested your location from my showroom and you are 1 hour and 9 minutes away and when I did this, it was during low traffic times (not rush hour). We can not travel that far to design or to perform jobs that distance, it is not efficient for you or for us. If your name came through and I missed calling you, it was merely a mistake, nothing more. But I really like you posting this and I hope to never miss a message on my desk. Good luck and I hope you get whatever you are looking for.

Description of Work: We had a basement remodel estimate with Steve Carver. He told me he was having surgery and would get the estimate to me before his surgery date. He had a week. That sounded fair to me. He didn't get the estimate to me before hand and 2 weeks later he calls me with the estimate. After I brought up the lateness, he didn't apologize, but admitted he did say that he would have it to me before his surgery. Several things that we discussed in person were left off the estimate and he even had a copy of our architectural drawings.

I don't argue that the process took longer than usual for me, but I don't remember promising that the proposal would be done before my scheduled knee surgery (scheduled for following week). I remember saying that I would do my best to have it completed before then. The project was very complicated and took about 3 times longer to put together than other basement remodels due to the multiple angled walls and curved walls involved. None the less, it turns out that I was overly optimistic about having the drawings and proposal completed before my surgery (although I did already have several hours into the project before my surgery), I wasn't able to complete it. I apologize for the delay and I wish you the best on your basement remodel. No hard feelings.

Description of Work: We did a minor kitchen remodel. Leveled our once bar heighth island, new granite counter tops with new back splash. Walked us through every step of the process and very helpful in picking our granite and back splash patterns. Very detailed estimate. Job only took 2 days with all of the scheduling handled perfectly. Highly recommend ... Will use again for future bathroom work. |Very nice showroom with lots of options to choose from.

Description of Work: Remodel kitchen. Great customer experience. A couple minor glitches along the way which were resolved immediately. Very helpful, professional, responsive, respectful. Work completed in a timely manner and results were as expected. We love the "new" kitchen. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Quality materials and workmanship. Very satisfied.

Description of Work: #1 I often go on Angie's list to check out people who I might be interested in. I checked out my dr. and my dentist. Branhan Electric which i used at least 2 years ago. I don't like getting these surveys to rate people I never used. you need to change this so I can at least tell you I did not use any of these people. If I am going to get questioned every time I am checking out people I MIGHT use it becomes bothersome

Description of Work: Awesome experience. Beautiful bathroom! Purchased coupon on Angie's List for bathroom design. Dave Carver came out on a Tuesday morning. By 5pm Tuesday evening I went to showroom, design was done, cabinets and tile were chosen and date of start set for one month. |Dave and Tom were the master contractors on the job. Very polite, neat and professional. Dave Carver brought them to job site on first day to show them plans and introduce to me. As a single woman I had a safety concern, but Dave and Tom were wonderful and I felt very secure.

Description of Work: Removed kitchen counter tops, replaced with granite, installed new sink and facet and installed natural stone backsplash. The guys that came to the house were professional, courteous and performed their jobs on time and on budget to the quote given. Loved having a showroom to go to in order to pick samples and options. They also let me take granite samples home to see in my house. I then went to granite yard and picked my slabs to be cut.

Description of Work: They finished a room in our basement. They were able to start a couple of days earlier than originally scheduled which was fine with us. The workers arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. We felt very comfortable having them in our home and had no qualms being absent while they worked. They were done three days earlier than projected. We are very pleased with the room and plan to use Jim Carver & Sons for future projects.

THE WORK WAS DONE COMPETENTLY, AND THE DOOR IS GOOD QUALITY AT A REASONABLE PRICE. THEY MADE A STANDARD DOOR FIT WELL INTO A NON-STANDARD OPENING AT NO ADDTIONAL COST TO THE INITIAL PRE-VISIT ESTIMATE. I CALLED AHEAD OF THE INSTALLATION TO ASK THEM TO CHANGE MY PAYMENT METHOD; THE INSTALLER KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT WHEN HE CAME AND THE PERSON I TALKED TO DIDN'T REMEEMBER THE CONVERSATION, AND IT BECAME A BIT OF A HASSLE. SOME OF THE CAULKING NEEDED RE-DONE; I STOPPED IN TO GET THE SITUATION REMEDIED AND I WATCHED THE MAN LEAVE AN EMAIL FOR THE GUY WHO WOULD GET IT CORRECTED, PROMISING HE'D CALL; BUT HE DIDN'T. I HAD STOPPED IN AGAIN AND DEAL WITH JIM CARVER SR. TO GET IT DONE. THEY'RE A STAND UP OUTFIT AND I'D RECOMMEND THEM, BUT I'D ALSO RECOMMEND GOING STRAIGHT TO JIM CARVER SR. WITH ANY PROBLEMS.
