I first consulted the bathroom designer who showed me the type of work that they do and the materials they used. She came out and measured and when I agreed we signed a contract and scheduled the work to be done. Everything was done as scheduled. Both were done in two weeks.

I had a very small bathroom to work with & I think they did very well with that drawback. I have plenty of room in the shower area; toilet is kind of squeezed between cabinet & glass doors but I expected this, & haven't put my elbow thru the glass doors yet...Same 2-man team that did kitchen remodel in 2007: Brian & Gary are excellent & very good about making minor changes/adjustments as needed. Hope Carver was planner: very pleased with her: we discussed cutting costs, so I bought above items but they installed. In fact, we cut so much I then added the tile floor & upgraded the cabinet sink/counter. Very impressed w/the exact match of exterior vinyl siding: I didn't even have to power wash rest of house, which I expected. All work completed in 4 days.

Dave Carver was extremely helpful throughout the project and extremely responsive to all our questions. And we had lots of questions since we'd never done a kitchen remodel before. The work crew arrived on time every day as scheduled. The end result looks great. The project was actually completed faster than the original estimate.

Carver & Sons simply did an awesome job with an unbelievable attention to detail, pride of workmanship and customer service/responsiveness. Carver & Sons completed the work on time and in budget. We will definitely contact them for planned remodeling of master bathroom in the future.

They were not the highest estimate, but they were not the lowest either. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They were easy to work with and responsive.

We were very impressed with the effort and attention that they put into the proposal. He took some measurements and drew up some preliminary plans on the spot. We chose to go with another company because of the cabinets that they offered. We would consider Carver and Sons for other remodeling projects in the future.

The estimator was negative about a few things. He wanted to sell us a new roof, new shutters and a few other unnecessary items, not part of what we asked for. He didn't like our choice of siding and told us so. His estimate was way over that of any other siding company we interviewed. We would not have used this company because of the above. However, we decided to paint the home instead so we could get the colors we wanted.

Process went well. Steve Carver handled the estimate and was prompt and patient in helping us make the selection. Install went very well. They spent extra time matching our interior trim due to some problems with how the original door was installed. The install crew very professional and cleaned up everything after the work was completed.

Dave Carver, one of the sons in this family owned company, provided design guidance that kept me from making serious mistakes in designing my new kitchen. His work crew ripped out my old kitchen and butler's pantry and installed my new lighting, cabinets and appliances with professionalism and great care. Dave coordinated with the flooring company so that the process worked efficiently. The end result is beyond my hopes and expectations - just beautiful. I am very impressed with this company and with their efficient and genial work crew. I will definitely use them again for future projects.

I have followed his advice on sealing the threshold and caulking it, so far, so good. When we need more work done on our house, I will be sure to contact Jim Carver & Sons. Their estimate for the work was at the low end of the estimates received, but the service during the estimate was top. I appreciated the honesty and sincerity very much.

They explained things very well. They workers were very courteous. They could always answer my questions. They finished when they said they would. They cleaned up everything when they were done.

Fantastic! All of the workers were very nice and friendly. We had this done two years ago and all the work still looks brand new. Everything has held up great. They use quality products that last. I waited to see how everything would last and how it would look after a year or two before listing a report. I must say, that the house still looks brand new two years later. Very Very Happy.

Steve came out, took a look, took measurements, and made recommendations based on what I wanted. All in all it took about 30-45 minutes, and I had a final estimate, with a special order door from Provia Door and made a down payment. This was on 05/20/08. They came out to replace the door on 06/13. The technicians were courteous and showed up on time (actually early which impressed me as I, prefer to arrive early). There were a couple of additional problems found once the old door/frame was removed and they offered a solution and fixed it. It took about 5-6 hours start to finish. The door is high quality and the workmanship and installing was well done! A couple touch ups after final inspection, and I had my new door! They cleaned up afterwards and hauled the old door and debris. As fate would have it, a heavy rainstorm popped up about 2 hours later, and my floor remained DRY!!!!

The work was performed as promised and I'm very pleased with the results. Steve Carver who gave me the quote for work to be done was very knowledgeable and Ben who did the work did a great job.

They are wonderful! He talked to me in the show room and then came and looked at the kitchen to see what we would need done. He drew up plans so now we are thinking about it. They were very good.

My 1st experience with a remodeling company that does it all, from planning to finish, but that's what I wanted: no headaches of waiting for the plumber, waiting for the electrician, etc. Dave Carver helped me plan the all new layout, kept within my budget, and was very punctual and cooperative of minor changes I made along the way. Majority of process completed on time: just 5 days! I'd always heard horror stories of how these things drag on, and waiting 5 weeks for the quartz countertop was the only thing I waited for, for the job to be complete, which was OK/expected. I had some minor things to be corrected/finished off, & they did that timely also. Dave assured me his 2-man crew had worked for him for 7 years & I was very impressed how well they did everything themselves, from installing cabinetry to plumbing to wiring, etc. The counter company does the actual counter measuring/installation, but Dave arranges that also.

I was very satisfied with everything they did. The work was done beautifully and this is a very nice company to work with. They were very prompt and they were always here when they said they would be.

They were responsive to problems that arose during remodeling. They did repair my punch list items to my satisfaction, but their tile work could have been done better. They did an excellent job on the additional electric, installing the cast iron tub and the drywall. There were problems getting the right cabinets. There was a three way communication break down between them, the cabinet company and us. The cabinets had to reordered twice resulting in a two month delete in the project. If everything had gone smoothly it would have been done in their five day estimate.

This was probably the best home improvement project we've experienced. On Monday June 11th we got a call from Kelly at Jim Carver & Sons letting us know that our door was in and that they would like to come out on Wednesday to install it. We agreed and Kelly told us the installer would be there between 9am & 10am Wednesday. At 9:30am we got a call from the installer saying he would be a bit late ( about 30-40minutes). We thought, here we go again. But at 10:15 Dan and his helper pulled into our driveway in a Jim Carver & Sons truck. Both wore Jim Carver & Sons shirts and looked very professional. They began working immediately, kept us informed as to what they were doing & answered our many questions as they worked. They kept the work area clean, respected our property and by 4pm they were cleaning up and we had a new door. It looked GREAT. Friday night we hosed it down to make sure it didn't leak (like our previous door did)and it did not! Great job Jim Carver!

The estimator was on time, very professional. I had the sense that the quality of the door products they offered were top-notch and that the installation would be high-quality, as well. I did feel that his approach was a touch salesy compared with the other two companies' estimators for the same work. Not hard-sell by any means, no pressure at all, just seemed to be appealing more to safety and kids' safety, etc. than practical concerns. But I just pick up on things like that. Another point of feedback: don't be overly reassuring to the customer of your honesty. After a few times, it may raise doubt where none existed. Overall, they had the highest estimate of the three by nearly 50% more. I believe the quality of the door products was very high and that the price was probably a reasonable one, but I don't have the budget to afford it and had to go with a lower-cost estimate that gave me the same level of confidence in the workmanship that would be performed.

My original door was a mess and they did a great job replacing the door and all the trim. In addition they went out of their way to replace other trim around other windows that had rotted also. I ultimately will have to replace those windows also, but they helped out there. Left the area neat and clean, did it in one day, and I would use them again.

The old front entry door was a do-it-yourself special straight out of "The Money Pit". Replacement involved ripping out the old door, including a fair amount of inside paneling, completely reframing the doorway, leveling the inside flooring to match doorway and finally installing the new door. The installers, Ben and Rob, started work at 10 AM and were able to begin installation at 4 PM. They were done by 6 PM. They even noticed that the gutters on the front of the house had become blocked and cleared the drainage at no extra charge. Steve Carver, who had estimated the job, and Jim Carver, the owner, stopped by during a after the work to make sure we were happy with the job.

If you plan on remodeling your kitchen, call Dave Carver first. We can not express how happy we are having found Dave, as he absolutely understood what we were trying to do and made excellent recommendations for this project. He was courteous, professional, honest, straight-forward and everything we look for in a contractor. He worked within our budget, explained how and where we could cut costs and explained exactly what was included in each line item. No surprises! The only reason we did not hire Carver and Sons was because we opted not to undertake the project. When we are ready, however, Dave will be the first person we call. In the meantime, we are hiring Carver and Sons for some other projects around the house. I called Jim Carver and Sons about our front door which has been leaking since my husband and I bought our house. We have talked with many door experts in the past to no avail. Steve Carver came to inspect the door within a few days of my call and met with my husband and decided the best course of action was to replace the bottom seal of the door and see if that solved the problem. He ordered the seal and called to set up an appointment to install it. He would not let us pay for the part or his labor (my husband did assist in the installation). Steve said he was intrigued and wanted to see if he could solve the problem. And now, two weeks later, we can report NO LEAKS!

Jim Carver and sons were very easy to work with. I selected a few doors and they gave me pricing. I couldn't decide on a color so they came to my home and took a photo and then put the different colors I chose with the door I chose to help me with my decision, and it did! I selected a color I probably would not have if I didn't see it with my house and other surroundings. Steve Carver came over and measured and gave me the contract, and I heard from them about 4 weeks later to set up a time to get the door installed, which was three or four days after they called (Steve said it would be 4 to 6 weeks to get the door). It snowed the night before so we had to reschedule for a few days later. They came and installed the door. It took about 3 hours. Steve came by to check on the installation, which was fine, and all is said and done.
