I'm pleased with their service. They are quick to respond, quality of work is good, and they do what they promise.

Replaced furnace, thermostat, and hot water heater. They were processional, responsive, and worked quickly.

Came out for consultation and provided good recommendations to use currrent AC unit for a couple days. Flushed lines and installed AC unit two days later. Worked quickly. They were all professional.

They added me to the schedule quickly even though they were booked solid. Air conditioner was not working at all but identified it as a minor problem and they showed me how to prevent it in the future. Very professional and very helpful. I will definitely use them in the future and would highly recommend this company.

JJ Smith came out on the day promised, and completed the job in about 6 hours. They did a professional looking job and cleaned up well. When I discovered my furnace's condensation pipe was leaking after they left, they came back within 30 minutes of my calling and fixed it.

They came out the same day, gave an estimate, and came to do the job in 2 days. They came when they said they would and did what they said. I am very satisfied with their service.

Called at 8am left a message with office. Office called me back at 9:06am to tell me repairman was coming this morning after they said it would be this afternoon. He arrived, went right to work, said he smelled like something was burning and found the issue (shorted main power wiring from circuit breaker inside furnace). Thirty minutes or so later all was repaired. Asked Chris to check the Freon level. He stated pressure was good. My furnace was installed in 1989 and continues to run this morning. Thanks to JJ Smith repairman.

I have a maintenance agreement with them so that is $190 and all I pay for are the parts like any part they replace and they only do that in the spring. It really comes down to the reliability. I trust that the maintenance agreement is real and I do get regular follow-ups twice a year. If something goes wrong, I know that they will put me in a higher priority.

I got quotes from quite a few companies and decided to go with J J Smith because they rated very well on Angie's List, they sell Trane equipment which rates very well in Consumer Reports, their price was very competitive and it included installing a new gas line from the meter to the furnace and removing the old oil tank from the basement. Other companies ether were unwilling to do these things or charged additional to do them. I'm a bit demanding. Not only do I want things done right, I want everything looking good, straight and level. These guys did an excellent job and impressed me with their attention to detail. We are quite happy with their work, the furnace is working very well and we highly recommend J J Smith.

It's a small company. They're only about 2 miles away from my residence. They're quick to respond. They have personalized service. They seemed to be flexible about being able to schedule appointments. They're pretty personable too. They seemed to know their technicalities.

The week of the scheduled installation arrived and I was contacted by the owner of J J Smith to see if I would mind delaying our installation by a week in order for J J Smith to make emergency repairs/replacements to three homeowners whose systems had failed over the weekend. I was agreeable and was contacted later with a new scheduled installation date. On the scheduled installation date, the crew showed up promptly and on time and proceeded to install protective covering on the flooring where they would be bringing in and removing equipment and materials. Shortly thereafter, Andy Smith (the owner's son), who had prepared our quote, showed up to direct his crew and review with them the scope of the work. I was impressed. The entire project took approx. a day and a half, as they had indicated. At the completion of the work, the crew removed all left-over materials and cleaned up. I was instructed in the operation of the system, and finally Andy reviewed with me the warranty information and the recommended maintenance intervals. I was truly impressed by the courteous nature, technical knowledge and professionalism of the office staff, the work crew and especially Andy Smith.

One of the hottest days of the whole summer and our system broke down. The response to my plea for service was courteous, prompt and reasonably priced. With our severe summers AND winters, that is important to me. Chris was polite, went right to work, didn't try to sell me more of anything and had everything up and running before long. Liked the service so much, we signed up for their service plan.

My AC went out in a HEAT Wave, which happened to be at the time I was having shoulder surgery and be home 100% of time. I called 3 companies...JJ Smith was the 3rd one to come out. Jerry helped me out immediately by offering to kick start my unit and if that didn't work he was going to loan me window units. No other company even offered to do either of those! Not to mention, they were the best price comparatively...and he didn't try to up sell me. Infact he told me I didn't need some of the offerings from one of his competitors. He took time to educate and answer all my questions. I ended up getting a new furnace and AC unit, since my units were super old which I had planned to do originally. Outside of kick starting my AC unit and saving me during my time of need. They installed the whole new system with no issues quickly and very professional! They were all fantastic to work with overall, would recommend them to anyone!!

Initially disappointed. I received this recommendation from a real estate friend. So called to have my hot water heat system checked out before putting house on the market. They came over. Did a thorough job of checking system. Recommended a full replacement. Wasn't a surprise, it is original to the 65+ yr. old house. Said they were not very busy right now and would get us a quote right away and we could discount the service call. Never heard from them again. Very disappointed! Finally decided to call them back. Talked to the owner who apologized and got me a quote right away. Their price was $1000-2000 less than the other companies that I got quotes from. So I had them do the work. They did a great job. I've had to have them come out once after the original install to make some adjustments but the new system works great. The guys that did the work were knowledgeable and friendly. I'm glad I called them back!

I have a 7,000 square foot house that I run a business out of. It at the time had two 5-ton and one 3-ton unit servicing the home. One of the large 5-ton units that serviced half of the house went out and left my clients in a cold house on a cold Saturday night. I tried calling at least 10 HVAC companies on a Sunday to find anyone to go out and service our unit immediately to get the heat up and running for my clients that were staying at that time. I finally got someone to answer on that Sunday, JJ Smith. They got the system up and running temporarily, but Jerry met with me the following week to show me the issues with the old system and the solution. Jerry's team were out to take care of the removal of the old system and install the new. Installation of TRANE Model 4TEC3F60 / Electric Furnace and TRANE Model XR-13 / 4 Ton Heat Pump with matching indoor coil, 14 SEER, 410A Refrigerant. Their price included all necessary sheet metal to connect to existing duct work, programmable thermostat, gravity condensate drain, copper line set, heat pump legs, slab under the furnace, all necessary wiring, outdoor disconnect, and the removal and disposal of all old Freon and equipment. It was a shorter install for everything than they had stated, which was great. We have never had an issue with our system since Jerry and their team have completed the work. Really A+ work in all aspects of the job, and will continue to use at other locations, and recommend.

I have lived in the area for 4 years and have used JJ Smith Heating and Cooling since moving here. They are punctual, professional and courteous. I have an older furnace and JJ Smith keeps it running. I do know that I will have to replace sooner than later, but this company is keeping me from that expense as long as possible. Another great thing about this company is that I always get the same person servicing my furnace. The service person is very familiar with my furnace and my air conditioner and I really appreciate that consistency.

Replaced our 20 year old furnace to take advantage of the tax credits for high efficiency replacements. Out of the 4 bids I obtained, JJ Smith had the most complete and professional proposal. They did a very workmanlike job of the replacement. I was glad they visited a couple days beforehand to discuss placement of exhaust and intake pipes. After they came back the installer had thought through the job and suggested some improvements such as redoing the exhaust from my hot water heater which were done at no extra charge.
