Inspector C.H.R.I.S.

He was very thorough and professional. He provided a effective snapshot of the house, recording the conditions. He provided a full scope of the inspection and pictures. He also provided recommendations I would highly recommend his service to everyone.

Unfortunately I could not be at the inspection but the information I received was very detailed and i am very pleased. It was obvious they took their time with the inspection and it doesn't look like they missed anything

Great! The only problem was that we had agreed that the inspector meet us outside of the building at the agreed-upon time. The inspectors did not wait and entered the unit. We did not know, but the doorbell to the condo was broken. Since the doorbell was broken, and the inspector had already entered we had no way of knowing that. We missed the beginning of the inspection because we were not able to enter the unit with the inspector.

Great! Chris was extremely thorough and helpful when I was on-site. He walked through the entire site with me and talk to through every point in his inspection. I will definitely use him again.

As I've said, we've used Inspector C.H.R.I.S. twice. Both times, the team was already on location and working before the scheduled time. I'm not sure how long home inspections are supposed to cost as I've only had two and both with this company, but ours was about 3 hours long. They made notes wherever they found something to put in their report, and were very accommodating with our slew of newbie questions. The team is incredibly respectful and friendly. They even have inside shoes and outside shoes, which was nice because our new house has fresh carpet. They also make note of everything, no matter how small, including noisy bathroom fans. They went through the entire inspection with us once it was over, making recommendations and the like. Our inspection report was emailed in an extremely timely manner, and the physical copy is a nicely bound book we can keep for our records.

Let me start off by saying my realtor gave me three names he frequently recommends as home inspectors when asked. I looked on Angie's List to read reviews before choosing. I didn't like any of the choices, so I started reading about other home inspectors. After reading reviews about Inspector C.H.R.I.S., I knew I found the one. Chris was professional from start to finish. He arrived before our start time. He had a coworker with him who was also inspecting certain aspects of the house. Both men were courteous and got busy doing their job. Chris was documenting everything using a camera. I declined following them around even though it might have been quite a learning experience. Several times, Chris did call me over so he could show me areas of concern. While we were at the house, a termite inspection was performed by a separate company that Chris contracts with. When the inspection had been completed, Chris went over some areas of concern he had found. He explain everything to my satisfaction and understanding. He showed me the pictures to better help me know what he discovered. I have been on site during several prior home inspections in my life. This one was the most informative. (Side note: my realtor was not initially impressed with Chris's discovery of a gas hot water heater sitting directly on the concrete floor. "I've never heard of this Chris or that a gas hot water heater should be 18" off the concrete. We need to check this out. I'm calling a plumber I know," said my realtor. About ten minutes later the realtor called and apologized to me. The realtor discovered that Chris was absolutely correct, and this was a major concern.) I want to thank Chris and his co-inspector for finding issues both minor and major, and then taking the time to make sure I understood what they found and the implications. Two thumbs up!

Chris was very informative. He explained things very well and seemed to be very detailed. Chris was very friendly. I waited a little too long to find an inspector, and Chris was able to inspect the house the following day.

Chris was very responsive right from the start of the booking. He was flexible and worked with us on scheduling the date of the inspection. His team member and him were punctual on the morning of the inspection. We had joined them to learn about the house and they were very open to our questions. Chris then conducted the inspection while answering all our questions patiently and in detail. The inspection took over 3 hours and was very thorough. They took over 200 photos and took their time to catalog the various inspection items in the house. At the end, Chris provided a summary of the top issues we were facing and was again very willing to answer our exhaustive list of questions. That evening, he sent us a PDF email of the report that was very well written, compiled and catalogued and we received the hardcopy of the report the following week. We had some additional questions and were able to call him for immediate answers. He was also willing to let the seller of the house call him for questions after we shared our findings with the seller. His professionalism and responsiveness was thoroughly impressive and we certainly felt that it was great value for money. We would not hesitate to recommend him to our friends and family.

Chris was easy to communicate with from the start. He set up a time with me within 48 hrs of initial contact. He arranged gaining access to the home, and arrived before we did. He was very easy to talk to, kept things light and informative. We also appreciated how candid he was with his assessments, sometimes drawing on his overall expertise and interest in older properties in order to give us insight into potential pitfalls. He even went as far as to give us advice on our negotiations (only because we asked). By the end of our time together, we felt like we were chatting with a friend, which is invaluable in this process. At first I thought the price was maybe a bit higher than expected, but you get what you pay for. He provided a 100+ page report via email within 24 hrs of completion of the inspection, and will mail a hard copy to our home. Thanks, CHRIS! I will not hesitate to recommend your services to others.

Everything went great- Cost was reasonable, People doing inspection very professional and courteous. Very thorough job done and we are very happy with the job that we done.

The two inspectors that completed our inspection were fantastic. They allowed me to walk alongside them so they could explain everything they found. Every issue they found, they explained in detail, to include what current code is. Their knowledge of electrical, heating/cooling, structure, plumbing, etc., was impressive. They took their time looking at everything they could. Even went above and beyond on certain items. They answered every question I had, and used every opportunity to make it a teachable moment. Very satisfied with the team's work. Our report arrived into our email in 24 hours; a very detailed and extensive report that included drawings explaining building code. Very nice report. A week later, we received the same report in the mail; printed and in a very professional hard-back binder. Was not expecting this additional add-on of professionalism. Highly recommend them! On time and thorough. Inspection brought items to our attention that required additional contractors to review (roof and structural).

We also did an air quality test. I recommend anyone get the air quality test. While there was no visible mold the air quality test revealed a significant mold issue. 2 mold specialists later the issue was found. But thats another story for another day. Chris was great. I purposefully searched Angie's list for a home inspector for the home we are buying. He was at the appointment before we were. He offered for us to follow him around, but we declined. His report was very thorough and extremely detailed. Thank you Chris for coming out. Your report gave us insight to a mold issue, further investigation, and more negotiation.

Was very thorough and honest, showed me everything he thought was important and found about a dozen things to fix before purchasing the house. Provided an excellent detailed book including many pictures upon completion.

I am more than pleased with the experience I had with Inspector Chris. He gave it much more than a "once over" and went through every element of the house with me in detail. After the inspection I was more than pleased, but he went one step further and emailed a detailed inspection report as well as mailed a hardcover bound version as well. So, now I can use it for reference in the future if I should need to remember how to shut off the water or other various house mechanics. I will be using him for a pre-inspection on a home i am selling shortly and would recommend him to absolutely everyone. He may be a little more expensive than other inspectors but he is well worth it. Do you want anything other than the best on such a large purchase?

Working with Chris was a great experience from start to finish. This house has a tiny crawl space but rather than using a camera, he and another person, suited up and wiggled underneath the house to thoroughly inspect the crawl space. During the inspection we realized that the gas was not turned on at the house so Chris came back 2 days later to complete the inspection at no additional fee. We also smelled mold and he was available with all the right equipment to perform a mold test to determine the levels of mold on the property. My final report was sent to me in a very nice book form that can be kept for future reference and store nicely. I would recommend this company to anyone. He is knowledgeable, friendly and a true expert!

Chris and his assistant were very professional. They lead me through each room, pointing out issues/concerns, items that we not up to current codes and changes that would be necessary. Chris took many pictures to document his findings and explained everything to me. He was very knowledgeable in all areas. I was very satisfied with his work and would recommend him to others. Chris provided a final report in a bound book with all pictures and explanations of what the inspection found.

Outstanding service and very thorough. The areas covered and amount of information you get from Chris and in the final report is far more detailed and educational than most inspectors. Highly recommended!

The inspection was very thorough. Everything was covered from the A/C unit on the roof of the building to all the parts of the actual condo. After the inspection I received both a digital copy and a full bound book of the report!
