Cody ran into some problems on the deck repair but engineered what needed to be done and did a great job. An interior pocket door had not worked properly for a long time since new flooring was installed. Lately it had become stuck in the open position. Cody removed the door, trimmed some wood from the bottom, reinstalled and adjusted it so it now slides easily and latches properly. The latch mechanism had been installed improperly originally and eventually it broke away from the door. Cody added some material to the door to replace what had broken out and strengthened it so the mechanism could be screwed back in place. The exterior band boards were an unusual design along the bottom of the siding. There were spots that had rotted and I wanted to replace the boards. Removal without damaging the wood siding would be difficult. I had worried about how to replace them. Cody came up with several solutions that I could pick from. He successfully replaced them without any damage. None of these jobs were straight forward, by-the-book repairs. They required inventiveness. Cody was very easy to work with. I was very pleased with the result.

It went great. He had to create a part because the part that came with the fan was too short for my vaulted ceiling and the blades wouldn't turn without scraping the ceiling. He scoured the Cincinnati to secure the part then adapted it for my needs. He also fixed an errant storm door for no extra cost. He was very personable and efficient, doing the work in a timely manner and exceeded my expectations.

Cody visited us to look at the scope f work, ahead of time. He made sure he understood what work we needed done. Reviewing the work, he answered questions on installation options and offered suggestions for ways to accomplish our tasks. He gave us an idea of what the costs would be. He scheduled the work promptly. The day the work was to be done, there was an intense rain storm. Cody called and said if it was OK he would call later to see if it was OK to come, if the rain stopped. The rain stopped and he came. He worked diligently, was neat, clean and courteous. During the project he ran into an unforeseen issue. Rather than pushing through on his own, he contacted me and shared the problem and potential solution as well as the solution he felt was best. We agreed on the solution, which he executed. His work was excellent and we are very satisfied.

Excellent and professional contact and work. Mr. Lawson contacted me in 48 hours after my E mail and we planned together the repairs needed. Timing for estimate and work was based on my schedule in conjunction with his schedule. Mr. Lawson is very easy to work with. He accepts ideas and offers suggestions but the ultimate decision is the homeowners and graciously accepted. All of the work done at my home was excellent. I have already referred Hunny-Do Services to a neighbor. If further work is needed or if a new kitchen is possible in the spring then I will have Mr. Lawson estimate the job.

He painted walls in the Family and dining area, the kitchen, two bedrooms, hallways, and two bathrooms. In the master bathroom he laid, a vinyl floor and calked around the tubs and floors of both bathrooms. Corey replace faucets in both bathrooms. Corey was timely in arriving and performed professionally. He accomplished a lot of work in a short period of time. He explained what he was doing and gave good suggestions. He was clean after himself , as well as, he picked up and delivered the supplies as needed. What he did not use he took back to the stores. His fee was reasonable in comparsion to other estimates, plus, he could do more things as a handyman.

Cody was prompt and completed everything on my to-do list, even when I had ordered the wrong doors and we had to return them and get new ones. The ramp was a creative solution for my dogs and fit our needs exactly. Everything on my to-do list was done in one day. He charged a very fair price and worked very hard the whole time he was here.

Cody Lawton is simply amazing. From the first prompt email and phone call, he was on the ball, asking the right questions and giving me detailed information on how he works and how much he would charge for the various and numerous jobs we needed done for remodeling our house. His estimate was very fair, and he didn?t blink at the very short time frame we had of one week, just figured out how to take care of everything that needed to be done in the allotted time. Cody is a true professional, in both the technical aspects of contracting work as well as the conceptual parts of his work. On the technical side, for our project he expertly worked in the areas of plumbing (updating two bathrooms with new sinks and toilets and regrouting), painting (four interior rooms and exterior porch railings), deck stripping and staining, linoleum flooring installation, installation of a new dishwasher, and many smaller repairs. His work was outstanding. On the conceptual side, Cody easily understood our overall goals and high standards for finished products, and worked within that framework during our entire project. He suggested approaches we had not considered that ended up in some cases being more work for him but cost less for us. That is a remarkable approach for a contractor, and says a lot about his integrity and focus on helping us achieve our goals with this project. Cody assumed responsibility for not just the quality of a particular project he was working on, but for helping with accomplishing the overall goal. In this case, we had completion deadlines for certain projects, but the weather decided to interfere. For example, during the time that we had planned to strip and stain the deck in the backyard, the weather was typically unpredictable. Once there were clear skies forecast for a couple days, Cody stripped the deck. When the forecast changed, he went back to our house at night and constructed a huge tarp tent over the deck to keep it dry in case it rained?it didn?t rain, but he was prepared in case it did. He then completed staining the deck, placing tape at the gate entrances so that landscapers, etc. wouldn?t walk over it. During this part of our project, I was out of town and he sent me pictures and kept me informed on its progress throughout. We highly recommend Cody Lawton as a true professional who works hard and will get the job done (and done exceptionally well) at a fair price. We will definitely be calling him again with our house projects and repairs.

Cody installed a new storm door while I was at work. He also patched a hole in my bedroom wall and re-installed the curtain rod where it had come off the wall. Cody always does a great job and I never have a problem leaving him at my home to do work. I had to work that day and he did the work and left everything in clean and neat condition. Cody has done many repairs for me and will continue to call him when I need something fixed.

Cody called me when he was leaving a job and told me when he would be at my house and he was here within 5 min of his eta. He walked around the property to get an idea of what was involved, then proceeded to take a ladder out of his truck and clean the gutters. The gutters were not as dirty as I thought. A heavy rainstorm a week earlier was running over my gutters and backing up in the basement. One side of my house has two walnut trees that are close to the house and drop much debris in the driveway and in my gutters. Leafs of the walnut tree are very large and can clog a gutter quickly. So when Cody comes back in the fall after all the leaves are off the trees then foam inserts will be placed in the gutters on the problem side of the house. Having an older home there is a lack of electrical outlets so showed Cody were I would like several outlets to be added. If I decide to have the outlets added that would take place in the fall along with the gutter cleaning. Cody is a very personable man and felt very comfortable in dealing with him. I'm glad to have found him on Angie's List.

He replied to my call quickly , showed up when promised, was pleasant and informative. I will call him for my future needs.

Although this contractor might not be able to perform my task (and he explained the logistics why), I was impressed that he took at least a half hour to explain options, and how concrete jobs work, to me. He even suggested an alternate solution to my problem.

Cody Lawton sent an employee (Jim) to handle this small request. My downspout needed to be extended away from my home in order to prevent water flowing back to the foundation. After Jim and I discussed what I needed done, he picked up the supplies and completed the work. He arrived on time, was courteous and professional. I am pleased with the work that was done. I also showed Jim two other areas where water seeped into the basement due to the extremely heavy rains. Cody is going to schedule a time to take a look at the problem and discuss how this problem can be managed.

He was very honest He thoroughly explained everything and took his time.

The most important thing to know about Cody - and, I think about any contractor - is that you can trust Cody. He is a stand-up guy who is out there performing good work at a reasonable cost. You will not have to worry about shoddy work, in our opinion, and I think anyone would have a good experience with him. So, why the less than A ratings from us? We started our kitchen remodel project in December and, due to a series of events, it wasn't completed until nearly May. Cody was up-front and told us that he had learned a number of things about managing timelines through our project. We had a renter living through the construction and Cody did as good of a job as possible in keeping them functional, but it was just a really long time for them to be without a finished kitchen. At the end of the day, we would utilize Cody's services again and recommend him to others.

My wife and I decided to remodel 2 bathrooms and was aided by Cody who met with our suppliers to make our choices. More than this, he picked up all the materials and delivered to our home. We found him not only an excellent remodeler, but he was dependable, trustworthy and efficient and last, but not least, he was affordable!

If you have an impossible job...call Cody. He will figure it out. If Plan A doesn't work, he will think of Plan B. He did what the original installers could not do...hand the range hood on cabinets that were just not built for that purpose. He would not give up until that hood was solidly in place. He had to backbend over the range to get the last screws in. I have already contacted him for other jobs. I highly recommend Cody.

Cody and I had discussed this a few months back after he removed what remained of my old gazebo that blown down. I purchased a hardtop Gazebo kit which I had Cody look at on line to give me his opinion based on specs and reviews. Once the weather warmed up a bit I had Cody come over and with a bit of my help at (points it was a two person made it easier). This did take the bulk of the day but it came out wonderfully. He then installed my motion detector lights, and security alarm and finally a new house number sign at the bottom of the drive. I would highly recommend his services. He is a really nice man that does a great job.

Overall, Cody was professional, courteous and knowledgable about his craft. I know that he does much larger remodel projects and I was pleased that he would help me with these small tasks that I am unable to handle. I would hire Cody again for any of my handyman jobs, large or small.

First and foremost, Cody was responsive and professional, unlike other handymen I had contacted (or attempted to contact) in the recent past. I never had to worry about him not responding to a call or email. He showed up on time for both the estimate and the work itself, while keeping me posted on his arrival times. He did the work independently and notified me upon completion. As for the job cost, Cody normally follows a costbook to price out his jobs. His book priced out beams at around $80 each as I recall, which we both agreed seemed out of whack, so we agreed on his hourly rate instead (he has since adjusted his costbook to around $25 a beam for labor). He estimated labor would come in between $300 and $500. He ended up finding more rotted rails than initially anticipated, so the job came in slightly above the high end of his estimate, which is perfectly understandable. He voluntarily agreed to hold it at $500. The job itself took just over 7 hours from start to finish. As mentioned in the other section, Cody did not charge me any extra over cost for the materials from Lowes, which was a nice touch. Overall, the wife and I were very pleased with the end product and would definitely consider the use of his services in the future.

I got the information about Hunny-Do Services, Ltd from Angie's list. I read through many of the reviews, and I was impressed with the reviews and the picture of Cody's work ethic, behavior and skills as a professional. I contacted him through an e-mail. When he answered, he was straight-forward about his fees and what a job like mine usually would cost. I particularly liked the fact that he did not waste his time or mine by trying to convince me to hire him. Throughout our dealing about the job, I got the facts, and we made arrangements for the file cabinet assembly. We had an approximate time set up for the work because he was finishing up another project. He said he would call me before he started to my home, and he also told me how much time it would take him to get here. He arrived ready to work, and he was pleasant and obviously used to the job he was hired to do. He did a beautiful job. The cost was slightly more than he thought it would be, but he had given me his fees per hour as well as what he thought it would be. However, it was what I guessed it would be. The time it takes to assemble pre-made furniture is a difficult task since a kit may be well made or require a lot of extra work. Luckily, my kit was well made. Cody was also kind enough to remove the box and styrofoam when he left. Things like that add so much value to the work, particularly if you have trouble with walking and carrying things. I'm glad I found Cody; I have only good things to say about him. He knows what he's doing and he provides excellent service and is reliable. Great job!

This is the second time that we have used Hunny-Do Services and once again I could not be happier with everything. From when I contacted him to the very end, the whole experince was painless and fast. Cody knows what he is doing, we trust him and the estimate he gave us was fair. The only SLIGHT increase we had on the estimate was due to the exhaust fan being a bigger pain to remove then either one of us would have thought but Cody did everything he could do before having to charge alittle more for the work. But it wasnt anything huge and unreasonable. The closet that he built in our sons bedroom is just amazing. Cody matched the closet in the other room perfectly and we could not be any more happier for the extra storage now and the ugly, unusable exhaust fan is finally gone and you can not tell anything was there. His skills are really amazing. I still have more stuff on my list of projects and I know for a fact we will be contacting Hunny Do Services again.

Cody came over in the morning, when he wasn't feeling 100 percent to fix a toilet that was leaking onto carpet. Later that afternoon we noticed our basement had flooded from a water heater. We immediately called Cody and he stopped what he was doing and came right over to our house and stayed into the evening hours trying to trouble shoot and fix the problem. He then came back the next day to finish fixing the problem. I don't know what we would do without Cody. He made us a priority and came out immediately to stop the problem. He will talk us thru issues to stabilize the leak until he can arrive. He also charged us a very very reasonable rate and gave us a discount. Cody takes care of his customers! We are so comfortable with him that he has a code to our house and can come and go when we are not home to complete our tasks or fix problems. He even takes time to educate us on things we can do ourself so that we don't have to call him or someone else. I would highly recommend him!

I called Hunny-Do this morning because of a broken storm door. Cody called me back (same day) and walked me through the problem on the phone, and advised me of the best next step which is to call the manufacturer to get a replacement kit. He said it isn't worth trying to fool with the current door hardware since the door is 10 years old. He was more concerned about my pocket book than his. Thanks, Cody, for helping me out! I will definitely call Hunny-Do in the future if I need more handy work done.

I found Hunny-Do Services through Angie's List. Cory was able to fit my job in very quickly because I live near his headquarters He had the right tools, he performed the repair perfectly. His minimum charge was $75.00 for one hour's work. Since the repair of my drawer took less than one hour, Cody urged me to find other jobs for him to do to use the rest of the hour. Cody 's work was excellent. He could not have been more professional. I am definitely going to call him again. Some reviewers have given Cody bad reviews because he didn't return calls quickly enough. I don't think these reviewers are being fair. Cody often can't return calls quickly because his service is in great demand. I urge anyone considering calling Cody to be patient. He is well worth the wait. He is busy because he does such good work.
