This is the second time I have used Hunny-Do Services LLC. Cody Lawton is unbelievably good at delivering outstanding service as a Handyman. As long as he is in business, he is my Handyman. I had a very short window of time to have one piece of furniture put together because a new mattress set was supposed to arrive within a week of my contact. I thought if I had him do one kit at a time, it would take him less time than doing both, but he let me know it would be more convenient and cheaper if he did both at the same time. His bid was quite good (he gave me both a minimum and maximum price) if he did the pieces separately. Cody told me it would be cheaper if he did both at the same time instead. I asked him what the cost would be in that case, and my main fear disappeared. I wasn't sure I would have enough money to pay him for both at the same time, but the price was great. He even suggested he could wait for half, but that wasn't necessary. He arrived on time and went straight to work. He impressed me with his eye for detail and his professionalism. He takes his work seriously. When he ran into a problem with the magnet not catching the door to the pantry correctly, he kept working with it until it was fixed. It took him very little time to get the furniture put together. He cleared away all of the packing material as he did last year. Both my sister and I have trouble with mobility and managing bulky or heavy items. The care that Cody takes when he enters your home is the type of care you wish everyone would take. An added touch was his contact with me by e-mail to make sure the furniture met my expectations. He also wanted to know if the people delivering the mattress and frame had hooked up the headboard. He could not put the brackets on to attach the headboard for the bed since it wasn't here yet. The delivery had been rescheduled, so I let him know it would be this weekend instead of last. The delivery crew is supposed to hook it up if they can. Cody offered to come by and do the attachment if they can't. That is like the icing on the cake. I can't say enough good about his work, his fees, and his going the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy. I highly recommend Hunny-Do.

Cody worked steadily and efficiently. He showed himself to be a reliable , skilled professional. This is the second time we have used him to help us get our house ready to sell. We anticipate using his services in the future. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the quality of his work.

We have hired Cody before (bathroom floors) so there was no surprise. It went great! We consulted with Cody before the job and he advised us on type of sink, faucet and disposal to buy. We prepared for a two day job but Cody arrived bright and early and was finished before dinner. Countertops look wonderful and fixtures are a huge improvement. ( no more under sink leaks!) Cody always responds to emails/phone calls promptly and is generous in answering questions and giving advice. He is a total professional and we will certainly use his excellent services again. Next up: deck repair.

He did great. I was impressed for the job he did for me. Overall, he has an A, and I am going to use him in the future.

Cody did a phenomenal job on my laundry list of smaller projects to finish up a DIY with sudden time pressures as I'm moving out of state. He worked me into his schedule (and I made sure to be flexible), always showed up on time, and worked efficiently the whole time. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Cody was prompt to come to my home and give me an estimate for my to-do list. He took the time to walk around and made notes to everything I needed done. He followed up with an email to when he could start on my projects, explained to me how long the job would take and cost of parts and labor. Cody is very efficient with his time. I was extremely impressed with how much work he accomplished in the time he was here. I have hired other contractors in the past and have not been impressed with their work ethic or their use of time. I can't say that about Cody. He is very talented in a lot of different fields and the quality of his work is second to none. I was very impressed with the condition of my home when he left. I am definitely hiring him again to do additional work in the near future. I highly recommend Cody and Hunny-Do-Services.

We had several smaller projects around the house- installing ceiling fan, replacing screens, and some minor dry walling, but Cody handled them all like they were a bigger project. He was reliable and respectful of our time.

He’s done such a great job that he’s essentially my go-to handyman. I stay with him over the competition because the prices are reasonable and he’s very professional. He gives me all kinds of tips and is very responsive. The end result is always good and I definitely recommend him!

When my 20-year-old microwave died, I learned the hard way that today's over-the-range microwaves are waaay bigger. When Lowe's put the new one under my existing cabinet, it hung only 12 inches above my stovetop. YIKES! Luckily I had a shorter cabinet over the fridge, so swapping the two cabinets would solve the problem. Piece of cake, right? Well, not exactly. Besides inserting the shorter cabinet between two existing cabinets, this project also involved: -wiring a new electrical outlet from the basement to the kitchen -carefully removing and replacing the crown molding that runs across the top of the row of three cabinets -installing the new microwave securely -cleaning up the mess of grout on the wall that became visible once the microwave was in the proper position -hanging the taller cabinet in a very tight spot - which turned out to be the trickiest part of the job Cody had given me a rough estimate over the phone so I knew this might take the whole day. He worked very diligently and completed the project in less time than he had estimated, which saved me some money. He did a really great job of putting everything back together just right - not a scratch on that crown molding or a crooked cabinet door in sight. Cody is professional, personable and clearly committed to giving his customers the best possible results. He just did this project yesterday and I'm already starting my list of things he can do next.

Cody was great to work with. He was prompt answering our email, checking out the scope of the job and providing an estimate. He was punctual, professional and personable. Very knowledgeable and gave me lot of options to decide on my tv and speakers wall mount. My living room looks great now. Weather sealing for the door, insulation and dry wall for plumbing path. all of these under $480 !!! Awsome.

Cody returned our initial phone call right away, squeezed us into his very busy schedule on short notice, and did a terrific job. He gave us an initial estimate, and the final cost came in at the bottom end of his initial quote - this despite us adding extra work not in the original scope. We will definitely be using Cody again when we move!

It went very well. This provider is the reason you pay to belong to Angie's List. He answered his phone when calling, he was very responsive, and sent me an email at night mid-way through the project to let me know how things were going. He did what he said he was going to do - and the cost was right in line with the estimate quoted. Great experience.

Cody removed the large ( wall-sized) cabinet easily. He installed wood supports to make sure the wall was properly supported and to allow a cabinet and mirror to be securely hung. He built up the wall, ( repairing the very large hole in the wall where the cabinet had been) plastered it, primed it and hung a new cabinet and mirror. He also removed tile as necessary , cleaned them up, cut tile and reinstalled where necessary to give the bathroom a finished appearance. He also repaired a shelf extension from the sink. Overall, he took the one room in the house which had us scratching our heads as to how to improve without spending a fortune, and made it into something which adds value to our house!

Our floors look sooooo much better! He was very patient answering questions about a future kitchen update and will be returning soon to patch two holes in wall where light fixtures were removed. Our long search for a "hunny-do" person is over.

I was so pleased with Cody Lawton's Hunny-Do Services on 24jan14 that I had him return today (31jan14). I am using him to renovate an apartment in Westwood (45211). I strongly recommend that you contact him via his email, cody@hunny-do.net. He works long hours and will respond quickly if you use email. While he was working he spent hardly any time on his phone. Other people that have worked for me spend too much time on the phone conducting their business. He is a skilled worker, trustworthy, and the most honest and efficient handyman I have used in a long time. You can leave knowing that he will be constantly work on your behalf. I love that I can pay him on the spot with my MasterCard.

Cody was very professional, prompt and attentive to detail. He repaired several drywall cracks and retaped, speckled, sanded and primed. His work was excellent and done in a timely manner. He has previously done work for us - new vent fan in bathroom, gutter cleaning and repair. I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone and will use hum again.

Job went very well and have no issues with Cody's work. All work was performed to my satisfaction and the pricing is fair and very reasonable. It's apparent to me that Cody values repeat business and I will continue to use him. Greg

Our primary reason to join Angie's list was to find a reasonable, reliable and professional Handyman. We succeeded in finding Hunny-Do. Previously we were subjected to high priced handymen who charged more than we felt the work and time spent warranted. From my first phone call to the day Cody walked into the house, I was impressed with his professionalism. He walked in and went right to work finding what we wanted done. He immediately proceeded to hang 3 pieces of wall art and take down 3 and hung 3 others to replace them. He also lowered a curtain rod and hung two pair of curtains. These were all things we could never have managed to do ourselves and we are really satisfied. Cody has a list of other projects we want done. These are things we don't want done until after the first of the year.

I called Cody based on positive reviews on angies list and am glad I did. I am very happy with the work Cody performed, and it was a pleasure to work alongside him at the home. Importantly, I would trust Cody to perform work in my home with my family there. I will call Cody again for future projects.

Cody is always very professional. His work is always high quality. This is the fourth time that I have used his services and I will continue to use him as my handyman. He is quite knowledgable in all aspects of home repair.

This is the third time we have used Hunny-do services and once again we are impressed with the work done. My wife and I have been wanting to add more cabinets in our kitchen and have talked to Cody last time he came out to do a project for us. He suggested a few ideas which really helped us decide on what was best for our budget and layout of kitchen. Just like with the other projects he has done for us, he showed up on time and got right to work. Always informing me and suggesting things if we ran into any problems. We are very impressed with the work he does and look forward to using him again.

Found mail box lying flat on the ground. Don't know if worn out, hit by vandals or car. Called him. I have used him before and told him what I needed. I would not be available as I was going in for surgery the next day. Told him I would send check as soon as discharged (turned out to be 12 days later). Neat, responsible, pleasant. Will definitely use again. Did work within a couple of days as he could work it in. Price was very reasonable. Could reuse the mailbox, but 4x4 needed replacing and cementing in place.

He spent a good 45 minutes talking us through some things that we could do ourselves, and then the items he could help us out with. We have several areas that need attention from our DIY projects. Specifically we have areas in the ceiling that need the drywall textured again. We also have an upcoming kitchen project that we are considering hiring him for based on his experience. I will be hiring Cody for our future projects and would recommend him to anyone looking for some help!
