Howard's Cleaning Service

The service turned out very well. They cleaned the family room, living area, computer room and stairways. The technicians were very professional and through. They left everything the they found it. They moved the furniture for us and they did a great job. Scheduling was very easy and I would use this company again.

The technician arrived promptly. Steam cleaned 4 areas. It took 1 hour. He got out all the urine spots I was concerned about. After he left though I noticed some dirty areas that had not come clean. Called backed and he came early the next day with the owner. I thanked him for coming so promptly and he said he wanted his customers to be happy. He checked the areas and said the carpet required a restorative cleaning and that the technician was fairly new and didn't realize what was needed. He brought in a large rotary brush cleaner which did help. He asked if I would mind paying an extra $40 for the restorative cleaning. I said I was glad to as there was additional work needed. It was a vacant condo and when I came back the next time I noticed the carpet was a little dingy along some of the walls. I didn't want to bother them again as it was partially my fault for not checking everything before they left.

Our realtor called Bill and he was able to come within two days. Bill and Andrew were nice guys, hard working. Left all the furniture up on those little plastic pads to dry and gave clear instructions on how to set the air conditioner to dry the carpet more quickly. Our first time with this group and would use them again.

Overall, I suppose the carpets were cleaner after the service was provided, but any high-traffic areas (in front of doorways, area leading to/from kitchen from living room, etc.) looked virtually the same as it did before any cleaning took place. I had to rent a Rug Doctor to re-clean the carpet in these areas -- and it didn't take much to bring these high traffic areas up to snuff. IMO, if they would have concentrated more on these common 'problem'areas, the D's I gave would be A's and the Overall rating would be an A. From the service I received, a C is somewhat generous.

Arrived as scheduled, asked where the cleaning was to be done, and inspected the areas first. Told us the bathrooms might not get much cleaner because of the older grout - which we understood. Cleaned grout very well, and went over kitchen a couple of times to get it really clean - we appreciated that. Nice guys, got the job done.

It turned out fine. They managed to equate the certain areas of other parts of the house for carpeting to however that was going to pan out to be. They were very easy to have around. They got right down to business and did the job and answered any questions we had. They worked hard to remove the spots that we had and it was pretty successful. The dry time was pretty quickly. Because of the Angie’s List deal, the pricing was excellent. Their punctuality is fine.

They got here at the time they said. They took care to not let my pets out and made sure their hoses weren't caught on my furniture. After finishing the cleaning & seal they cleaned up & repacked their hoses in their truck. Would use again.

I purchased a carpet cleaning special through Angie's List. After the purchase, I was in touch with Howard's through the Angie's List messaging system. The responses were always very prompt, and we quickly made an appointment. The cleaner was on time, and he finished the job within an hour. The carpet was clean and fresh when the job was done. It was all very simple, and I was completely satisfied with the result.

Pet stains and odors gone as well as various other stains. Carpeting looks wonderful. Professional service.

I will be using Howards service again on November 20th and again in April 2014. They do a great job, this old carpet looks good every time. They are prompt, courteous and respectful. I will be using Howards in the future. They have also cleaned my sofa and chair with good results.

We did add a carpeted stairs. It was not a major amount of additional money, but that was because that was added to the standard advertised $99 for four. The additional work seemed to be quite nice. It was worth it. Under the wooden contacts with the carpet that might have been damp, they carefully put in a plastic thing underneath of it to keep the wood from being dampen such as the dressers, the post, and the stand on. So, they were very careful to take good care of the furniture. Basically, the opportunity was there, and they did not hesitate to answer any question that I may have presented. They were all quite knowledgeable and willing to share that information.

The carpets are over 20 years old. They never looked better.

Awesome results! The grout in the kitchen & bath looks brand new. Very pleasant and professional service. Will definitely use again
