Terry Houston is a marvelous handyman that does all different kinds of construction.

They were very nice and trustworthy. We weren't able to contact them to finish the job and had to have another service provider come out and finish our basement.

SEEMED VERY PROFESSIONAL AND TOLD ME THEY WILL SEND ESTIMATE IN A WEEK. 3 IN A HALF WEEKS LATER I HAVENT RECEIVED ANYTHING. I CALLED AND THEY SAID THEY WERE BACKED UP AND I WOULD GET IN A FEW DAYS AND STILL NOTHING. THIS SHOWS HOW THE PROCESS WOULD GO IF I DID PICK THEM. SO I WILL NOT BE GOING WITH THEM AT ALL. BAD SERVICE

I had made an appointment for an estimate a week after I called, for Tuesday at 1pm. 45 minutes before they were to come, I got a call that they did not service Milford. Well, in looking at the ad on Angie's list, I see they do service Clermont County, so was confused as well as unhappy that they waited until just a few minutes before the time to come, to call. I was told the regular scheduler was out of town when I originally scheduled. But they had Monday and the morning of Tuesday to let me know so I would not be rearranging my day for them. I felt it was very unprofessional and was glad I did not go with them if this is how they treat their customers.

Detailed plan and proposal submitted. Questions answered quickly. We ended choosing another vendor due to as good of Angie's list rating and a bit lower price.

When working on the estimate, Terry (the owner) provided photographs and testimonials of work he had performed. It showed the range of his work from smaller projects to major room additions, free standing garages, decks, and patio-deck enclosures. Estimate included cost for everything including a generous allowance for carpet. There were no a la carte charges. Houston provided a computer generated 3 dimensional draft for the room; showed exact dimensions, detailed door placement, electrical outlets, can lights. We thought of going with drop ceiling tile. Terry Houston suggested sheet rock. We went with that, a great idea; looks great. The work was performed on time and according to the schedule as promised. Final cost was right on the estimate.They were extremely neat and fastidious with clean up performed along the way. No major mess build up. They had to carry wall board, equipment and supplies down (1) level - not one bump or scratch on the walls or woodwork. Used tarps to protect the hard wood floors and carpet. Room is perfect - it doesn't look like an after thought or add-on. Terry and his people were ultimately professional and we have a beautiful new space. I would definitely recommend Houston remodeling to any one with a project large or small.

Terry and his team are in a word - Outstanding! From the work they do to who they are as people they are the real deal and are a pleasure with whom to work. Terry was able able to help us craft what we wanted not only by listening to our ideas and getting to know us personally but also by keeping us within our budget and not throwing us any surprises. After our initial consultation and measurement Terry came back with a 3-D model on his computer showing us what it would look like. After a couple rounds of tweaking (again, keeping us in our budget) we nailed down a final design and the work began. Terry provided us a work schedule and also had us pay him "draws" similar to that schedule. The communication was always thorough and complete - we knew what was happening (or not happening) every day. Terry's team, and Jed in particular, were excellent. As we have a large and curious family Terry's team not only looked out for our kids' safety but also got to know our kids and built a bond with our family. The quality and craftsmanship of the work, again, excellent. They took the time to explain what they were doing, show the value of doing it right (vs. cutting corners) and always kept us in the loop if there were even the most subtle of changes. They offered several ideas on the fly of how some things could be improved (again, running it by us first) and when a couple things didn't come out to the level of quality they expected, they completely re-did it vs. trying to cover it up or accept it as is. The work they did looks amazing. They blended it with the existing look and feel of our home beautifully and in many cases we joke that it is probably built better than the rest of our house. We are happy. Simply stated we trust Terry. He is a man of his word every time - he does what he says he will do. Without a doubt, I will not only reuse Terry and his team, but also continue to tell others about my positive experience.

I orginally scheduled the installation for the week of May 11th. The job was started that week but rain hindered the progress. Work was done slowly, bit by bit after that and 3 weeks later was finally completed. I was not happy about the delays but they maintained very good communication and discounted the price without me requesting for the inconvenience. The dormer looks great and is just what the house needed.

It went great. Their steel company, M.C. Steel came over later that day to give me an estimate to the penny, then did the work the next day. Work was completed, beautifully, to building code standards, in one hour! Other contractors had told me it would take two men about twelve hours to do the job. Really, it was miraculous!

Terry was great. He was the ONLY company who made an effort, in a very timely manner, to come give me an estimate, and it was a very detailed estimate. After several weeks of insurance "stuff" and decision making, I contacted Terry, who immediately came out to start work. I would ABSOLUTELY refer Houston Remodeling to anyone needing an honest company that does what they promise. (And NO, he is not paying me to be this enthusiastic. :)

Our experience with Houston Remodeling has been great. Terry Houston walked us through the design process and selection of materials. A work schedule was established so we knew what to expect. The Houston Remodeling crew was on the work site every day. Terry and his crew were very knowledgeable in all aspects of our project. They were very courteous to us and our neighbors. They kept the work site clean and orderly and were very respectful of our privacy. We felt that we became friends with Terry and his crew. Since our project has been completed, we have missed the daily interaction that we had with them. Our project was completed in November 2008. The results were better than we envisioned. They have greatly added to the beauty of our home and we would not change a thing. We would definitely choose Houston Remodeling for any project in the future. A great job!

used subcontractors and did not supervise well. Owner does excellent carpentry work, just question some of the subcontractors they chose.

They were excellent listeners and took the time to listen to what we are looking for. They gave ideas of possible solutions that we had not even considered that we ended up using in the end. They were very detailed and stayed on schedule. They kept us informed throughout the entire process. Their work was excellent.

OVERALL, IT WENT VERY WELL. I LOVE THE SCREEN HOUSE AND THE BATHROOM IS STILL IN PROGRESS. WORK IS GOING WELL. RELIABLE AND PROMPT. GREAT PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. GOOD BUSINESS PEOPLE.

Not much to say except, we couldn't be happier. We just hired him for another project.

They really kept things clean as they went along. Came on time everyday. Very satisfied with the performance.

They are very consciences also they are good to work with coming up with the best way to do the project. They can handle a variety of projects didn't have to sub contract that much out. Quality of the work is very good. I have used them for several years.

We had many problems from other contractors of even getting estimates. Terry came out, suggested a cheaper alternative for the fix than we had anticipated, and worked with us on numerous occasions to keep our costs down. When plans changed and we had our bathroom remodeled, he worked with us in establishing what we wanted. Needless to say, we were impressed and happy with our finished product.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. EVERYTHING WITH EXCEPTION TO THE PRICING WAS GOOD. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.

MR. HOUSTON IS A CLASS ACT. HE PRETTY MUCH RUNS A ''ONE-MAN'' SHOW, HOWEVER PERFECTION AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL ARE KEY WITH HIM. HE MAY SUB-CONTRACT SOME ELECTRIC, DRYWALL FINISHING AND SIDING - BUT THE CONTRACTOR HE USES ARE EXCELLENT. WE ARE VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT. SINCE, TERRY WORKS ALONE - THE PROJECT MAY NOT MOVE AS FAST, HOWEVER IT IS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. WE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH CONTRACTORS BEFORE AND DID A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING HIM ON. LET ME TELL YOU HE IS WORTH IT. VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF YOU RE HOUSE (E.G. RENTED A PORT-A-POTTY). THE JOB SITE WAS CLEANED DAILY AND KEPT ORGANIZED. HE PUT UP A TEMPORARY WALL IN THE FAMILY ROOM WHILE WORKING ON THE ALL SEASON ROOM. I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING MORE, BUT MR. HOUSTON IS A GREAT CONTRACTOR.

TO BEGIN, I HAD QUITE A PROJECT ON MY HANDS W/ THIS HOUSE. I HAD A HOME THAT WAS AESTHETICALLY AN EYE SORE AND FUNCTIONALLY AND SYSTEMATICALLY ARCHAIC. I INTERVIEWED AND RECEIVED BIDS FROM MORE THAN A HANDFUL OF CONTRACTORS AND DECIDED TO CHOOSE TERRY. HE SEEMED TO UNDERSTAND AND SHARE THE VISION THAT I HAD FOR THIS HOUSE, WHERE MOST PEOPLE COULD NOT. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE HOUSE CAME OUT BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS. IN CLOSING, I HAVE DEALT W/ QUITE A FEW CONTRACTORS AND REMODELING PROJECTS AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THIS EXPERIENCE WAS THE MOST PLEASANT. THEY PROVED TO BE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL FROM START TO FINISH AND MOREOVER, CONSCIENTIOUS AND ETHICAL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
