Hope's Cleaning Service

After multiple attempts of trying to contact the provider I cancelled and obtained a refund from Angie.

I was disappointed with the service. I scheduled the service and took a half day off of work and she didn't show up for the appointment. I tried calling her several times and didn't hear back from her. I let her know after the first missed appointment that if she wasn't able to do the work just to let me know and that'd be okay but she said she'd be able to do the work. At this time she still hasn't returned my phone calls.

She was not really great. She did an adequate job, but she did not really do a great job and I had cleaning ladies a lot. She was relatively inexpensive but just did not do the extra stuff that I expect a cleaning person to do. She just did the very basic like if she found trash, she would put the trash on the table instead of throwing the trash in the garbage. My interaction with her was fine. She was very nice. The job turned out okay. I did not stick with her because I wanted somebody to do a little better job.

Initially, Hope did a decent job cleaning my home. A few bathroom items were broken but nothing of much expense. I was never happy with the way she cleaned my hardwood and ceramic tile floors (she used a swifter, with rag attached and sprayed cleaner directly on the floors). Over time, Hope became undependable. She cancelled on me three times (twice in one week). She's does an okay job for the price but I would not hire her again due to the number of cancellations on short notice (same day as scheduled cleanings).

It did not go well at all. I wanted to schedule the cleaning service to clean our house that we had sold and were in the process of moving out of. I needed it done before the new owners moved in. I originally scheduled it the morning of the closing. She rescheduled the services twice. The second time I spoke with her she said she had tried to find our house but had the wrong house number (the number below is incorrect. should be 4318) We live in a small community and could have stopped anywhere on our street and they would have pointed her in the right direction. She said she would come back to the house at 3:30 pm. At 4 she still was not there and I called her again. She said she was still working on another job. I told her to call me when she was starting out to our house. I still had not heard from her at 6 pm so I called her and told her not to bother coming. The people who bought our house were already painting to get moved in this Friday so they offered to clean it themselves if I just paid them what I was paying her. The entire ordeal was frustrating and just increased the stress of moving. This was the first time I have used Angie's list and was very disappointed.

including tub,shower aND hope arrived on time. cleaned kitchen floor,dining room floor and bedroom floors. vacuumed all carpets andwashed remaing floors. have two bathrooms. she cleaned both. she was professional and pleasant. thought she did a good job. i would hire her again.

She did not show up or call to cancel & refused to admit we had an appointment! Horrible experience, totally unreliable! She cursed me on the phone & was not professional in any regard! Glad she did not get inside my house! I shutter to thing what her work we're be like!

Hope did a great job. We had some work done in the house and had a ton of dust everywhere. Hope went straight to work and got everything I wanted completed in less than the 3 hours. I certainly would use her again.

Hope was very responsive to emails and even quickly accommodated a scheduling conflict. She's extremely personable and professional, and when she left everything was clean and smelling awesome! We would definitely recommend!

She does need to be supervised. The first time she finished the kitchen floor, it wasn’t cleaned and she had to do it over and that cut into our time. I would use her again, but I need to make sure I double check everything.

Overall, we are very pleased. Hope picked up a few chores that we had fallen behind on and we are happy with the results!

I expected mopping, scrubbing, clean showers and floors. Two workers stayed 2.5 hrs when 4 were promised.

The service turned out very good and we have been using her on a bi-weekly basis. She did a good job and the price is reasonable. She does a full home housecleaning and it takes her about 3 hours.

It went really well; looking forward to having her on a monthly basis. Referred her to my grandmother-in-law

Hope is amazing. She does a tremendous job, and we are lucky to have her work in our home twice a month.

She did a great job, was very pleasant and professional

At first, it appeared that Hope would do a good job and that she understood how to clean. However, it became clear into the first cleaning, she was not used to really cleaning but "surface cleaning", i.e..she did not move things to dust under them. I had to tell her to do that. Her response was that her other clients didn't want her moving anything to dust under them. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought I would keep her cleaning and keep showing her better ways to clean, i.e. she would only use a handheld shark to vacuum hardwood and tile which did not pick up all the dirt. This tool is good only for in between cleanings. I tried to stay positive each week she came, but I kept spending a good chunk of my time showing her how to clean something - in which I was paying her to do. Finally, the last time she came, she brought her 12 year old son to help her clean when I asked her not to. She said she had to bring him to help her because she was allergic to basic cleaning products (probably in the wrong professional then)! What is ironic, she seemed annoyed with me because her son did not know how to clean either and I had to keep asking him to do it over - although I don't blame him. After all, he is only12! I think what bothers me the most is that I tried to help her become better in her profession. I even told her I would help her find clients once she understood basic cleaning better. After all that time I tried to make it work with her, she didn't bother to show back up again to clean nor was there any communication to me that she was not coming back! This is after I kept her cleaning trying to help her when I should have fired her. This showed a lack of professionalism on her part. I guess I should have known better - after all, all she did was complain about her other customers. I would not recommend her if you are interested in having a good cleaning.

Went extremely well. Hope did the job thoroughly and asked questions regarding my cleaning priorities, which she then responded to.

When I have had remodeling done, I have trusted Hope to keep me sane and keep the mess down. Hope has never missed a day and has always been on time and always done a good job. I highly recommend her.

I recommend her very highly. Even more, I trust her.
