They were able to give us an estimate over the phone which was nice because we were on a rushed time frame. They seemed knowledgeable and very professional. The receptionist helped as much as she could and was very knowledgeable and then she transferred me to a contractor who asked all the right questions. We didn't use them just because of timing.

Mr Holtmeier was punctual and quick in diagnosing a cracked trap. I told him what I had done since noting a sewer smell a week prior and he immediately said what it was. He also gave a ballpark figure on the price to repair, along with what is involved with the repair. The entire visit took less than 5 minutes, but there was a lot of information exchanged along the way. My wife and I went another direction from a price standpoint, but our experience with Holtmeier was fantastic.

I made the appointment - they gave me a 4 hour time window. I had to take off work to be home. Andy called to ask if I could reschedule since he was running late. I could not reschedule so he did come. I was surprised that the only disposals carried by Holtmeier were about 3 times what I paid for the first one that managed to last 8 years. While he was there I asked him to look at the slow drain in my bathroom sink. Which he did and plunged it after commenting on how poor the plumbing lines were placed. My home is an older home and the plumbing is original and dispute a few slow drains - it has held up very well. After Andy left - I was running the water in the bathroom sink he had just plunged and found that it was barely draining at all. I called Andy back and left a message. I called on the day of service which was a Thursday to say the drain was not working at all - he called back the following Tuesday - 5 days later. I asked how much it would cost to fix the slow drain - he called back to say it would cost "about $200.00". I felt that to be ridiculous. A friend of mine came over that evening and cleared the drains within 5 minutes. I really feel like I was taken advantage of. I have never had that negative of an experience before and I have been in this house almost 28 years. I know they are a very highly rated company here on the list, but I did not share that experience.

He has been great. I have another problem that isn't too urgent that I'm going to have him do. I would recommend him and use him again.

We have been using their services for about thirty years. They always do a good job and clean up well. They are punctual and always respond to our calls in a timely manner.

Person rang bell right on time, went right to work, made a couple trips to his truck to get supplies, repaired toilet, presented bill and left about 20 min. later. He was very professional in appearance and manner. It just seemed like a lot of money for the service rendered but I am unaware of the current rates so have no way to compare. We just trust Angie's List!

He came out and he showed me how to fix it if I should do it again and he also tightened it up. He was helpful, I used the coupon from Angie's List, it went really quick and overall I liked him. I also used him again late.

He was punctual, and very professional. He also got both jobs done very quickly. The plumbing in both the shower and toilet are working great!

Both projects were completed on time and exactly as quoted. The only minor glitch was that the manufacturer shipped a defective shower head, which Tom later replaced with no additional cost or inconvenience to me. Tom and Andy were prompt, professional and straightforward in describing exactly what work would be done, the process and the cost.

They are very reliable, and are on time. They do a great job, and are an excellent company. A family run company, and I would recommend them. They've been around since 1948.

I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

We live in a very old farm house which the Holtmeiers have been servicing for at least a quarter of a century. They took a look at the problem and informed us that one part we needed was no longer available...the toilet was no longer manufactured. Then he said, "I might have that piece." He went to his truck and pulled out a part he had salvaged from another house in which he had replaced the toilet. We had been faced with getting a new toilet...but not now!! Also he was able to order an odd size sink for us that just fit our vanity. We had not been able to find one of that particular size. Great people...great jobs.
