Holtmeier Plumbing is a 4th generation plumbing company that was founded in 1938. Specialize in the following: - Toilet Replacement (right height and comfort height toilets) - Water Heater replacements up to 80 Gallon - Faucet repair/replacement - Garbage Disposals - Sump Pump including Battery Backup Systems - Leak Detection Systems - Gas Lines - Including, Clogged drains, cracked pipes, icemaker/water hookups, replace shutoff valves, etc.

Description of Work: Repaired leaking tiled shower stall, replaced seals, replaced hardware, added a grab bar. Work included opening up ceiling, removing entire base of shower and then replacing tile, drain, etc. I was impressed! And they cleaned up afterwards. Yes, I will use them again.

Description of Work: We hired them to make sure our new fridge could have the water hooked up without a problem. |They did an okay job, but complained about getting to the water line through tight fitting ceilings tiles in the basement. Charged what seemed like a lot for the job. When the fridge was delivered the delivery guys wouldn't hook the new line on, so I called Holtmeier back to do that last little step for us. Keep in mind they were local to us. They came hooked up the water line (a two minute job) and charged me an additional $75 house call. Rediculous! |This seems like an outfit wanting to overcharge. Being annoyed by dust from a ceiling tile falling on you is comical. What plumber is afraid of getting dirty?

THEY CAME THE DAY I CALLED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEIR PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE PROFESSIONALISM AND INTEGRITY OF TOM HOLTMEIER, JR. SOME OF THE MORE EGREGIOUS EXAMPLES OF HIS POOR PERFORMANCE: (1) WHILE DOING WORK IN THE SHOWER, THEY BROKE THE LATCH ON THE SHOWER DOOR. WHEN I POINTED IT OUT TO TOM, HE AT FIRST ATTEMPTED TO CONVINCE ME THAT IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED BY SOME OTHER MEANS THAN HIS WORKERS AND THERE WAS NO PROOF THAT HIS WORKERS HAD DAMAGED IT. IT WAS ONLY AFTER STRENUOUS PERSISTENCE THAT HE AGREED TO FIX IT. (2) TOM HOLTMEIER JR. CAME OUT TO LOOK AT MY PROBLEM AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE WITH NO MENTION OF A CHARGE. WHEN I DIDNT CONTRACT WITH HOLTMEIER PLUMBING IMMEDIATELY (IT WAS AROUND CHRISTMAS AND I WANTED TO WAIT FOR THE NEW YEAR), HE BILLED ME $55. HE INSISTED THAT WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETE, THE $55 WOULD BE DEDUCTED FROM THE FINAL BILL. IT WAS NOT, AND I HAD TO FIGHT TO GET MY $55 BACK. (3) HIS BEHAVIOUR WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. HE WAS ARGUMENTATIVE AND CONDESCENDING, EVEN AFTER HE HAD MADE A MISTAKE.
