While the estimate was professional and timely, it was on the high end.

Steven Parrot was my sales representative I work with, and the retaining walls was excellent, quality wise, attention to details was excellent, and I consider the price to be fair. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent! I had read the many great reviews here and submitted an inquiry through Angie's List. The estimator responded the very next morning. He and the entire crew were very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Hicon and will definitely use them for any future needs.

All projects were completed with beautiful results. Their masonry division and pavers division both employ professional, seasoned crews who are assigned to the project with experienced foremen. With all of the projects there was meticulous care taken with the work, and they communicated with me about matters that came up along the way. The company was very easy to work with in negotiating the agreement, reviewing details, and getting responses to various questions along the way. There was a small group of stones, intended for capstones on a wall, that were not of the quality of the other stone, and they replaced those for me. Dan (masonry division & company) and Marty (paver division), division managers and senior managers of the company, offer careful review of their respective divisions' work and of the overall projects, and clearly care about their customers. The onsite foremen (John - masonry) and Rob (Pavers) were very careful with the details and the progress of the projects. They brought a lot of positive energy and enthusiasm to the work every day. In one instance a section of the drive wasn't to Rob's liking, and they pulled up that section and redid everything. They were careful to adjust the angles for drainage on the driveway, and were attentive to details that a lesser company might not pay attention to. They will purchase the quality of pavers/stone requested by the customer, and the Unilock pavers I chose to have installed both look beautiful, and appear to be durable also. They were attentive to protecting my home from construction dust, as I had requested, covering windows and doors in the vicinity, and cleaned up well after their work. I had a landscape design created for the overall plan for renovating the exterior of my home, and they comfortably worked with that design in establishing the dimensions of the various paver projects. I thought that the front area and driveway would look very nice as planned but it looks even better than I had hoped. Neighbors, and even the mail carrier have commented upon the awesome work; it is nice when one's neighbors can also enjoy and appreciate the results of a home project. Early in the planning stages I was deciding upon whether I was going to use HiCon's services for this work or another contractor. What tipped the balance was some advice from another contractor I had working at my home, who has had occasion to see HiCon's work over time because of the work that they do; their comment was that they thought I should contract with HiCon because their work is excellent and really holds up over time. Where this other contractor might see a more amateurishly constructed patio start to show signs of wear after a few years, the HiCon structures they have had occasion to see are often there many years later, still in good shape. I couldn't be more pleased with the work.

They were excellent and very professional. Their price was close to half of what other estimates were. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely use them again.

They did an excellent job period. The stone was cut and matched really well to the rest of the stone. Except for the sound of the equipment and the breaking of stone I hardly knew they were there. The worksite was always neat, and everything was cleaned up when they left. They did not ask for any money up front and were very pleasant and professional. This is such a specific type of work that requires a very special skill set that I was afraid I wouldn't find anyone able to do this type of repair or willing to work on a relatively small job. But they did it, and did it well!

My wife and I used HICON Hardscape/Paver division and we are amazed at the work that was done. We have a very tricky landscape with many cuts needed to shape around walkways etc. The HICON team took their and made sure every last detail was perfect. We could not be more happy with the way it looks. Thank you HICON for an amazing job, quick and painless service and a very reasonable price.

This was a very large job that I knew would be expensive. I requested quotes from 3 contractors through Angie's list and only 2 responded. Hicon was very responsive while it took me a couple of weeks to get the second estimate. The other contractor would only bid it time and materials and was 3 times the cost of the Hicon's fixed price bid. It took the Hicon crew a couple of weeks to complete the job. I was impressed that they took there time and produced a craftsman like job on all aspects of the work. On a couple of occasions I asked them to make some small changes which were handled immediately without any complaint. They showed up on time, were always courteous, and left the job site cleaned up every day. I cannot think of any complaints with their work.

We could not be more pleased. It is so wonderful to have some steps back and it will be much easier this winter. All the neighbors came by to compliment us. It is so much more welcoming. This was a complex job and HICON figured out the complexities and provided us with both a set of stairs that is functional and beautiful as well. As am additional note, they did follow-up to make sure there was no washing away of sand. Really nice and professional guys to work with. It is great to finally have our steps.

They did an excellent job. And they actually didn't write in their contract that they were going to paint it when they were done, they did it anyway without charging me extra.

Very expensive. I had hired them to do another job for a previous job but the bid was to high for just the sidewalk.

The job was very well done. Jeffery and Nick were easy to work with and did a great job. Dave, who is a manager at Hicon was very polite and always called back when I had any questions. Very good experience and I would highly recommend them.

Someone came out to check our interior and exterior walls. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said there were no major leaks in the mortar that were visible and the leaks were most likely coming from behind the gutter. He explained that the gutter would need to be removed, meaning I would need to hire a roofer since they do not deal with gutters or roofing and that I would end up paying for two jobs. He suggested instead that I find a roofer that would remove the gutter who was skilled enough to do the necessary tuckpointing to save us money. He also looked at the interior damage and told us the materials to buy because we said we wanted to repair that ourselves. He was extremely helpful and gave us the most economical suggestions rather than booking repairs with them and hiring a roofer. If we need work done to our masonry or foundation only in the future, I will definitely go with Hicon.

HiCon did an excellent job on the project. They followed through on all aspects of the project as quoted and did an excellent job of communicating with us as the project evolved. Although their bid was higher than a number of other companies, I felt we made a very wise choice in going with HiCon. Given the complexity of the project, I don't believe the other companies could have handled the work as seamlessly.

Although the price seemed a little high for the scope of the project, it was well worth it in the end given the final appearance. The brickwork matched almost perfectly and is not noticeable. The employees were professional and performed the work in a timely manner.

Fantastic! Cleaned up site every day. Very courteous and hard working crew. Crew leader helped to identify necessary bricks and tuck pointing to address.

They did have to come out and redo some places that they missed. I feel they could have tuck pointed a few additional places but I'm going to watch this winter to see what happens. Overall, I am happy with the job because it looks much better.

Dave was very easy to work with, very responsive, and was clear about what work he recommended being done and why. It did take a little time to get onto the schedule, but he told me that would be the case and I wasn't in a hurry. The crew did a great job of communicating with me on status, any questions they had, how they were going to do the work, what any options were, etc. The work they did was fantastic, I am very pleased with the final outcome and would definitely hire them again.

Other than the fact that it took them 3 months to get around to my job, which seemed a little long to me, everything was great. The workers who came to do the job were very friendly and conscientious and they did a great job. I had planted new shrubs and flowers around the house and they were careful not to damage them. They did a good job of matching the color of my foundation as closely as possible. I am very happy with the results.

Dave came out to examine wall and chimney. He was very professional and personable. He explained in detail what needed to be done. Although the estimate was higher than some other companies, I had worked with Hicon once before and I knew I would be getting the highest quality work for the money. I just felt confident knowing my wall and chimney would not only look good when finished, but also withstand the test of time. Our 28 year old stone wall mortar was cracked and falling out in many places. Some stones were completely loose. Steve and Gary pressure washed the wall, cleaned out all the joints and tuck pointed each area. They mixed the cement, carefully matching the existing mortar. Their craftsmanship and quality of work was outstanding. The wall looks brand new. We are very, very pleased with the results. The chimney is completely repaired-although we can't climb up to visually inspect it, it looks exactly how Dave said it would. We highly recommend Hicon and we would not hesitate to use them again in the future. ,
