They came out and reconstructed two of my chimneys. All of my bricks were deteriorating. They did a super job! They threw all of the old bricks out and put new bricks in.

Great job. He was in high demand, but when he finally had an opening he did an outstanding job.

Hicon returned my call quickly, showed up on time to give an estimate, and quickly sent the official estimate over. The price was more than what other service providers offered, hence I decided not to go with Hicon. I would use them again for another bid.

I received an estimate within hours of requesting one. Since we would have the expense of having the lift at our house for the work, we really wanted chimney pots installed. However, we could not locate any salvaged pots. Daniel called around to antique shops and found a vendor who had several. We ended up matching pots b/c Daniel took the time to do the leg work. The masons who completed the work were tidy, friendly and respectful. I highly recommend this company.

It is an excellent company, top notch. They are very professional, very straightforward and have good follow-up. They are clean and have a well equipped crew. This company answered all my questions and did a thorough follow-up after we had severe rainstorms just to make sure we had no roof leaks. They are thorough and have competitive costs and well trained crews.

Existing outside fireplace needed extensive repair due to poor design and workmanship. . Hicon came in and understood our concerns and proposed a solution to the problems we had. Gave precise estimate, performed excellent work on time. After a 1-1/2 years work still looks great and looks like a long term solution has been achieved.

The contact at Hicon was VERY knowledgeable. He had experience with older homes like mine and made a recommendation over the phone about how to proceed. This did not include work with Hicon, so he was basically providing me with free advice and expertise, which I appreciated. I would definitely reach out to Hicon again with home questions.

I called Dan in a pinch and he really came through. He was very accommodating and rearranged his schedule so that he could come out to help us with a consultation and estimate of the work to be done on an old house. It was outstanding the way he accommodated me, and I really appreciate that. Dan was very professional and thorough in his proposal and I was so impressed with the way he explained the issues and discussed the potential solutions. He really went out of his way, through a busy schedule, to take care of me.

The response was very timely. The estimator came to the site and pointed out the areas to be done. The workers were very polite and kept us informed at all stages of the repair. The workers cleaned up the site before moving on to the next job.

Outstanding, we'd looked at several other similar jobs in neighborhood completed by Hicon and by other contractors. The work they did, though by far not the least expensive, was outstanding and worth every cent.

Hicon Inc we had them come out, long ago they some sidewalks for us. Frankly their bid was higher so thats why we looked around. They came out in April. The quote was medium to medium high. Our impression was that Hicon was probably more comfortable doing big industrial type jobs than the small homeowner jobs. The follow that came out was very good and knowledgable. Their bid was higher.

They did good work. After we established the contract they were prompt. They came right away and did the job in one day. They were reasonably priced.

HICON was very prompt and professional from the first appointment to go over what needed to be done, to providing the estimate to the repair itself. Their price was competitive with other well-qualified contractors. I had one quote which was for 1/2 of the HICON price, but the individual was non-commital about trying to match the mortar and was not nearly as thorough in reviewing the work to be doen. I interviewed several vendors who provided an array of advice, not all of which was consistent. I selected HICON because their advice followed best practices within the industry; they committed to match the 20 year old mortar in terms of style and color; and their price was almost identical to the other vendor who seemed very conscientious and came well-recommended. Matrching mortar color was very important as I probably had 40 feet or so of cracked mortar on the front of the house. I did not want to see some zig-zag pattern of different colored mortar anywhere on the house, and especially on the front. Their team arrived on the appointed date. They took their time and finished in about a day and a half. I was pleased that they did not rush the job. They were very courteous, friendly and professional. They not only matched the color of the mortar, but the style with which the original mortar was applied. After the job was completed, HICON followed up from their office to make sure we were completely satisfied. I will dfinitely call them again for any future masonry repairs.

Hicon came out and looked at our chimney to determine if it needed to be completely or only partially rebuilt. They explained what they found and then left the decision up to us with no pressure from them. We elected to have a new chimney built from the roofline up. They brought samples of brick so we could approve the match to the other brick on the house. The workers arrived on time, were very professional and cleaned up each evening. They said they could re-use our chimney cap instead of trying to sell us a new one. We would use them again and recommend them to others.

The company responded quickly and professionally to our request for a price quote. This contrasts with several other companies which did not respond at all or did not show up to provide an estimate. Because of that I cannot compare their price with any other prices, but we agreed because it seemed fair and we were willing to pay it. Once we accepted the quote, the work was performed quickly, expertly, and neatly. Because the place where the work was needed was inaccessible for a truck, the work had to be done manually; that may cause the price to seem a bit high. We are quite well satisfied with the work and would recommend them for concrete work.

Our salesman was very thorough. He did not climb up on the roof to look at the chimneys, however. If he had, he may have seen a little more work that needed to be done, as was discovered by our other contractors. He even showed us mortar samples and did an excellent job explaining the work that needed to be done. I think Hicon would have done an excellent job, but their price was just astronomically high. We got four quotes and Hicon was more than double. I never base my decision just on price, but his was just too far out of line. Maybe if I intended to live in this house for another 50 plus years I would consider using their company. Again, I liked the attention to detail, even in the quote, but the price was really hard to swallow.

The job went very well overall. The workers showed up as promised and performed in a professional manner. The biggest glitch was a two day delay to manufacture a new cap to fit my non standard chimney.

I called HICON to get an estimate for the job and my call was promptly returned by Steve. He reported to my home on the day and time that we agreed. He was very pleasant to work with and displayed much professional knowledge about what was needed to restore my retaining wall. He was able to facilitate my receiving the estimate by sending it to me by email. I had three bids on the job and chose HICON because their approach seemed to make sense to me and the price was very reasonable. The workmen that did the job were very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Steve also checked up on the job to make sure all was going well. I was really impressed by how the company is organized in delivering materials and general coordination of the project. When the job was completed everything was cleaned up and returned to original condition. I highly recommend this company for masonry work.
