Marty at Hicon was our contact and from our first meeting was the BEST!! The work was actually done in winter of 2015. Workers were very professional and their work was beautiful. Completed as contracted and we could not be any happier with how it all looks. In June 2015 they came back our to do some touch up work and again we were pleased with the work and followup. Would definitely use them again.

Hicon staff were very professional and prompt. The workmanship was excellent. Our property was cleaned up after the job, all the caps were lined up perfectly and everyone was pleased. This is a company we would hire in the future to do masonry work for us again.

They did everything they said they were going to do and the work has stood the test of time. David was our sales rep who explained everything thoroughly and patiently. He came out the morning the work started and came back again to review the work when it was done. I had a few minor concerns with the work which he mentioned before I could and had someone come out to make the improvements. The chimney crown has been assessed by our roofing company this week and they gave it an A and said it was great workmanship. I would recommend their company to anyone. I feel like I got my money's worth.

They were friendly on the phone and arrived promptly at my house to inspect the problem. They referred me to an engineer who worked promptly to draw up a plan and apply for city permits. Then I saw the size of their bid and nearly passed out (although in fairness it was about 5% higher than the bid I got from somebody else)...after asking for a bid on something less expensive I never heard back from them...wonder why.

I contacted the company on 4/3 and I spoke with the manager regarding my experience. The manager listened to my concerns and apologized. The manager informed that he would speak to his employee regarding the situation and learn from it in order to improve customer service. I appreciate the manager responded to my concerns.

Everything turned absolutely great and they did a phenomenal job. They were prompt, efficient, did what they said they would, cleaned up after themselves and came in on budget. I would absolutely work with them again. We got a number of bids and they were the lowest and they quality of work was outstanding.

They did a good job. The scheduling and availability were good. They were able to come out and complete the work before winter set in. They also had the lowest price from the other estimates I received.

It went very well. Steve at Hicon made several trips to check on progress and did a walk through with us to see if we were satisfied with the work. It was a good experience working with Hicaon.

The service provider came and gave me an estimate. The estimate was a lot higher than what I anticipated.

I left a message and my call was returned within the hour. Scheduled the appt for Don to look over my foundation in the back corner of house to see if a crack was a serious issue. Don showed up on time and was very professional and friendly. Looked over the crack and said it was nothing serious and told me how I could fix it myself. Another company wanted to charge me $3100.00 to fix the crack. I'm glad I called Hicon Inc. for a second opinion. I would definitely use in the future for any other work.

The original floor had not had enough rebar installed when the house was built 25+ yrs ago. Hicon added more and also re-sloped the floor so that water would run in the proper direction. They also needed to do some improvement work on how the concrete was poured around the foundation walls of the garage. The new floor was completed at the end of the 2nd day and has worked well.

The same guys come out to do the job and they are great. They are very meticulous.

They did everything very efficiently. We are happy with the work. They work took about 2 and half days to complete. It was an expensive project but it was totally worth it.

Their workers were very professional and explained exactly what they were going to do. They repaired two steps, one of which was crumbing. The repaired steps look great.

HICON did a great job taking care of our needs. This was work we needed to have done to not only make the house look better cosmetically but also due to concerns we had about water leaking into our unfinished basement every time it rains. So far so good, haven't seen any issues! Dave Wetzel was very responsive to our needs and every time I had questions. I'm a stickler for details and he never complained about having his people come back several times for touch ups :) Thanks again Dave and I would definitely use you for future projects and recommend your services to others!

They showed up and gave me an estimate within a couple of days. Then they followed up over the next couple of weeks to see if I wanted to schedule the work. When they showed up to work, the bricks they brought were a different shade than the existing bricks. It didn't matter to me because the repair was behind the chimney on the back corner of our house however, they took them back and found bricks that matched. They were meticulous with their work - you can barely tell there where the opening was. I have recommended them to several of my friends.

They took off 2 layers of brick and rebuilt that part and put on a new chimney cap. It turned out fine. They also fixed some additional things. They were prompt. The workmanship was great.

I can't fully explain my appreciation for our entire experience with Hicon on this project. We needed to have stucco removed and subsequent resurfacing on the chimney for our home. We received a contract to sell our home in April, with an expected mid-July close date. The chimney repair was the final task we had to complete for the sale of our home. We reached out to a very popular contractor, who agreed to perform the work. That contractor never showed up. We reached out to another 'reputable' contractor, who came out to scope the project, with a promise to return a quote within a "day or two". 3 weeks later, not only did we not receive a quote - the contractor back pedaled and said they could not perform the work. Our experience with these two contractors had wasted valuable time and put us into mid-June, with only 4 weeks left until the closing of our home. In a panic, I turned to Angie's List to solicit several contractors with this specialty to please come out and scope the work. Of the 5 we reached out to - Hicon got a person out to our house within 1 day, and we had a quote in 2 days. I was very specific to ask all of the contractors to not to even submit a quote if they did not have resources to complete the project in our aggressively narrowing window. Hicon, understanding our predicament, was able to prioritize their resources to ensure they had people to perform and complete the work in time for our last inspection before closing. Their quote was specific and accurate. Everything that was described would happen, happened. For example, we were told there would be two workers there for 5 days, that they would arrive and leave at specific times, that they would perform all clean up, etc. Every one of those expectations were met, and the foreman was there on the first and last day to make sure everything was running smoothly and that the work met our expectations, which of course, it did. I appreciate honesty and straight-shooting. Not once did I feel like Hicon was taking advantage of our situation (e.g. price gauging) to make more money. Hicon's responsiveness to our situation and need was absolutely critical to being able to move forward with the sale of our home.

It was a very good experience; the estimate was good it was higher than expected. The person that came out was professional.

I would not hesitate to hire this company once I decide to repair/replace the wall. Dan measured and reviewed the wall with me. He took the time to answer all my questions and gave me a detailed description of the process involved. He gave me a brochure showing me pictures of some of their projects. The projects look like quality beautiful professional work. My impression: the company is professional. A few days following our meeting, Dan mailed me a very detailed, very informative written estimate of the step-by-step, actual work to be performed.

First contact was at Home and Garden Show and gentleman working the booth was very personable and informative. Made first contact to have an estimate completed for retaining wall project. Representative arrived and was very pleasant and professional in mid April, 2014. Waited three to four weeks and followed up with a phone call in mid May 2014 as we had not yet received a quote. Office person assured she would give message to our representative to follow up with quote on project. To date, June 2, 2014, still have not received information or phone call. Although everyone we spoke to was very professional and pleasant, I would not feel confident using a Company which does not follow through with information requested. It may be the job was not big enough for the company, however I'm not confident there would be any follow through after a job was completed if an issue would arise. Received an estimate via email the same day. Would change overall rating to a "B".

We have used them many times over the years. They have no peers for working on very old buildings requiring lifts for the work. They are highly skilled and very good. We have found them to be totally trustworthy in the work they do. For work not requiring those particular skills we have found them to be way overpriced tho very good.

The gentleman was very friendly and professional when he came out with an estimate. He emailed the estimate within days of coming to my house to check out the leak in my chimney. Overall, I liked Hicon, but the price was a little too much and we went with a family company.
