They were very knowledgeable and seemed to be able to identify the problem and offer a couple of different ways to fix it. They were very professional and tidy when it came to coming into my house. They were careful to not track mud into my home.

I had used them in 2005 for my home and business and I was pretty pleased with their service. They had a coupon, which helped in my decision. The service was good, they did a decent job and their prices were good. They were very responsive and I think they came the same day or the next.

Absolutely great. The receptionist on the phone was polite and responsive, and the plumber got here quickly. We did have a prior service contract, so that may have helped, but it was good to feel the company really cared about service. The plumber assessed the plumbing system (septic, floor drains) and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He cleaned out the well, removed and replaced the pump and check valve, and operated it to be sure everything worked fine. He was polite, friendly and very competent. He also too time to check our other pump and to go over the drain and plumbing configuration with me so that I would understand how it worked and what to watch for in the future.

We were pleased with just about everything but the price. The price was exorbitant. The job was done in 20 minutes. I was told up front that they charged by the job, rather than charging by the time, but I had explained beforehand exactly what the work consisted of. They knew that it was a small job, and knew the exact scope of work involved. I was not given any kind of estimate prior to someone coming out. Because they do charge by the job and knew what the job was, they could have at least given me a range. Had I known how much it would have cost before they came, I would have found someone else. The person who came out was exceptional, and the receptionist was wonderful as well. However, when I received a follow-up call and expressed my dissatisfaction with the price, she said that she would pass the information along to Alex Herrmann. She told me that he would get back with me no later than Monday, and it is now Friday and I have yet to hear back from them. That to me indicates a lack of responsiveness and professionalism. I was very dissatisfied with the price and their communication, and would certainly never consider using them again.

The technician was on time and careful to keep the house clean. Felt the technician was more than willing to make sure all issues were addressed. I was told of all expenses before work was completed. Problem was fixed to our satisfaction. They do charge a service fee to come to the house in addition to the charges for work performed.

They would get A's for every category there is. We have been using Hermann Services for about a year now and we are quite happy with their service. They are very polite and efficient. They do have follow up calls the next day to make sure that the tech did everything that he was supposed to do.

They did a nice job and came on time. They also, installed a back up for us. They came back, when the battery leaked and replaced it at no charge.

They do a very good job with their plumbing, they are very neat and tidy, they come when they say they are going to come and they do what they say are they are going to do. They also take the time to get the job done right, even if it is relatively complicated.

They had to turn my air off again in 90 degree weather and noticed that they used the wrong parts. They said that they had to order new parts for it and it would take 2 days. I told them it was unacceptable so they went a head and installed a new air conditioner unit since the first was defective.

I was having a party and the sink was not functional. They would not provide a time ("today or tomorrow") but actually did come the same day during the event. The sink is draining fine 3 weeks later, so the work was effective. Plumber needed me to provide buckets, rags, and a ladder and refused to reinstall plumbing under my sink, which I had left open for their access and mentioned when I called, but did provide plastic o-rings to me. I have used them in the past, but will definitely shop around next time.

When we had a heating checkup performed about 2 weeks ago the tech (Mike) informed me that our current furnace was known for having defective secondary heat exchangers (it was a Bryant 90% model). He removed the blower and showed me where the secondary heat exchanger was corroded, which indicates that the exchanger could allow dangerous exhaust gases to be released into our home. This is a major safety problem. Mike advised that the furnace should be replaced and provided us with quotes for different models. There was no undue pressure or scare tactics. After doing some research and digging on the internet we decided to get the 95% Trane gas furnace. Herrmann sent Mike back out with a helper and they both spent about 6 hours doing the install. They were both very nice and professional, and they cleaned up all the debris left. Overall we are very happy with the work.

They do good work. They are on time and not too expensive; we have no complaints.

The service was great. I received a prompt return of my call, an appointment was available immediately, and he arrived on time. He checked out the problem, explained what he'd need to do, and quoted us a price before he started working. He was very friendly and polite, and he worked quickly and cleanly.

They are excellent, you get what you pay for!

The work was performed very well. However, we thought $348 to replace an outside faucet was significantly overpriced (that price was with both a discount because we bought a service plan from them last year; the "list" price was $437 and an additional $25 discount with one of their coupons). This is the third time we have used Herrmann. The quality of their work is excellent but they are just too expensive. We will look for another plumbing service on Angie's List the next time we need a plumber (which hopefully won't be too soon!)

Investigated alternatives and found the pipe was corroded too badly to be repaired.

The technician did not seem to want to perform any of the tasks described because they seemed to be a hassle. His explanations were going around in circles and finally I had to get my husband to deal with him. They charge a service charge and should inspect things thoroughly. They charged way too much and the only reason we had the job completed was because we had spent a few days trying to get somebody out and we waited the entire 4 hour window for them to arrive. We were not members of Angie's list until after the fact.

We had developed leaks in both the hot water shut off valve in our downstairs bathroom and our main shut off valve in the basement. We called Herrmann Plumbing because of a previous positive experience with them. The plumber that did the work, Allen, was courteous, qualified and explained everything thoroughly to my wife (I was not home). The price charged for a little over two hours of work, $638. However, I thought it was outrageous even with deciding to buy a plan for a future whole house plumbing inspection which reduced the price of the services provided that day. Because the faucets were leaking quite badly, we did not want to wait and check out other companies.

THE PLUMBER INSPECTED TILE AND EXISTING SHOWER HEAD BEFORE GETTING OUR OPINIONS AND THEN MAKING SUGGESTIONS. HE WAS POLITE, WENT ABOUT HIS WORK QUIETLY AND EFFICIENTLY, LEAVING THE WORK AREA VERY CLEAN.

They did really good job. Prompt, they did extra work, and the go above and beyond.

WORK WAS ESTIMATED FIRST AND DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION. THE PRICE SEEMED A BIT HIGH BUT DISCOUNT WAS OFFERED WITH A PREPAID FURNACE CLEANING IN THE FUTURE.

CAME ON TIME, FRIENDLY. DID REMARKABLY LITTLE FOR THAT MONEY. JUST LOOKED AT HEATING UNIT AND LISTENED WHEN IT SWITCHED ON. MEASURED FREON PRESSURE OF HEAT PUMP AND SPRAYED IT CLEAN WITH A GARDEN HOSE. $139 FOR LESS THAN 30 MINUTES? DO I EXPECT TOO MUCH OR IS THIS INDUSTRY STANDARD?

THEY ARE EXCELLENT, THE BEST I HAVE FOUND SO FAR FOR HEATING AND PLUMBING AND THEY DO IT IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THEY WERE SATISFACTORY, WE WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
