Their technicians are always courteous and always careful about cleaning up after themselves. They even put on little booties so they dont track dirt in the house. They call me to set up the routine service and they can usually come out within a day or two.

They were prompt. They called when they were on their way to make sure we were there. When he walked through the house he wore booties. He gave an estimate before he did the work. He came in a truck with the name Hermann on it and in uniform. He extended his hand to us. He was very nice and gentle with the kids that were there. I thought the price was expensive. He gave us a brochure of other services that they offer, an optional survey, and a bag w/a pen.

Only use Hermann if you know 100% that you want the work done. They are EXPENSIVE and they charge you a $60 visit fee if you just want them to look at your problem. My jaw hit the floor when he handed over the "up-front pricing" worksheet. $350 for a video scope regardless of how much scoping is done, if the problem was found int he first 5 feet, still $350. If you want the problem replaced, whole new pricing structure, now's it's up over $400 to clear the blockage. Again whether it's 5 feet or 50 feet away. Didn't even look at the problem with the sump pump, only quoted price to replace. I found another company with equally high service scores who could do the work for half the price, and they bent over backwards to get me scheduled. Have never had a bad experience with their technicians. Always helpful and courteous on the HVAC tune ups. Their service department was able to get me on the schedule the same day that I called. I will continue to use Hermann Services for any pre-negotiated work (AC and Heater Tune Ups), but never again for a service call such as this. There is value in using them on some projects, just not on this one.

repairman showed up within 2 hours. I told him it was probably the igniter since it has gone out twice before.He had it fixed within 30 minutes. I was there the entire time while he fixed it then I left.He mentioned nothing to me or my mom how much it would be before he started working. When finished he told my mom it would be $398 dollars. My mom is 90 years old and complained about the price. She said last time it was less than $200 dollars. He then lowered the price to $324 dollars. He told his company that he told my mom before starting how much it would be.That was a lie. He did not. I was there and he didn't mention it to my mom or to me.Also they installed a new Trane air conditioner at my mom's a year and a half ago and bragged how good they are. So far no problems, but be aware trane air units have many parts made in China. Too expensive for me to use again.

We were given a quote from Roto-Rooter for almost $14,000. Hermann quoted us $800 and after 4 guys worked all day on clearing the big job that we had, he stuck to the $800 price. Very honest and hardworking, I would never consider another plumber. I would recommend them to anyone! It was amazing.

He told me that the wood that was wet in the basement might be wet for a couple weeks but that the fix was completed. I just think the price is outrageous. He was here for maybe an hour. When the technician arrived he immediately handed me a contract to sign that stated the price. I disagreee with this practice and believe that the price paid should be based on the work performed.

When Kevin from Herrmann Services arrived, he listened to what I had to say about the drain situation in the whole house. He looked at the situation in the kitchen and quickly assessed that the drain problem could likely be remedied by going on the roof and running a snake down through the vent pipe. I was skeptical that it would do the job but decided that I would trust him (am I GLAD that I did). As soon as he started the snake through the pipe which led down through the floor drain, the sink water started flowing out. He then proceeded to thoroughly ream the pipe out all the way to the front of the house (underground) while running water through the pipes from the kitchen faucet. Kevin knows his "stuff", listens to what you have to say, performs quality work, is punctual and very professional. When I have drain problems in the future, I will call Herrmann Services and ask for Kevin. By the way, I have had Herrmann Services out to install a Kinetico Water Softener on one occasion and to replace some water faucets on another and was very pleased with their performance in both cases. Will call them in the future.

The plumber evalutated the situation and quoted a "Worst Case Scenerio" price of $600 for the clogged drain. After running the auger through the pipe a few times, it was unclogged. When he was finished, I asked him if it was considered a "Worst Case Scenerio" and he smiled and said "yes." I guess I should have asked him what a worst case scenerio would entail before work began. I even took time out of my busy schedule to help him determine how far the auger had traveled down the pipe since it had to run down into my basement and he was in the upstairs kitchen. Maybe I should have charged him for using my services to help him complete his job. Since all he did is run an auger through my pipe a few times, I believe the charge was exorbitant. There are many other plumbers in the area that I will try next time.

Family owned. They are very reliable and we have used them every Spring and Fall since 2004.

A little pricey, but I;ve used Hermann's services in the padt & they seem to be reliable & trustworthy

Serviceman Allen was unprofessional and despite having many years in the business as a plumber could not initially fix the problem. It took my mcomplaining and over $400 to have hime com back and fix it

Their people did an outstanding job. My experience with them was fine.

It went excellent. They definitely let it be known that they are licensed. We have had other people come out for bids and they are very skittish on licensing information.

The first estimate from another plumber was $6,700. Hermann's agreed to do it for $3,300...great savings. I think the biggest reason for the difference in estimates was the first plumber didn't have all the needed equipment and wanted to do it an easier way for him but a more time consuming way. Hermann's had the right equipment and trained team. They did a great job and saved us a lot of money. They also came out to do the estimate the day after I called and began the job 2 days after my first call.....very responsive.

The services turned out great. The installation really helped us out.

The bathtub is in a slope and not even. It is not level and I've had to have the caulking redone several times since. I now have to dry the corner every time I take a shower because the water settles and it will build up mildew if I don't. The fiberglass cracked almost as soon as they put up the wall. When the tub was removed, the wall was cracked so I had to have the wall replaced as well which cost $2000. He put in a shorter tub so the wallpaper was short to meet up with the wall and tub. He took the last little bit of wallpaper so he could match it for designing so I had an unfinished strip for years. I finally had the wallpaper removed and redo the walls in the bathroom. He just caused a big headache all around.

They came in and did a good job. They also took their time and cleaned up after themselves. They also guarantee their work, very informative

Herrmann Services was one of three plumbers we contacted for an estimate. They sent over one of their plumbers immediately and he worked up an estimate. Their price was not the lowest, but they seemed to understand safety and building codes noting that the current exhaust location was too close to a room addition we were completing and that extra plumbing would be needed to be safe and compliant. They came out as scheduled and not only completed the required work, but sent a supervisor out to check and ensure everything was done correctly. Their personnel were professional and knowledgeable.

This company was outstanding! From the time I asked for a quote to the scheduling of the job to the actual services, these folks were timely, professional, and thoroughly versed in electrical, plumbing, and a/c work that had to be completed.

The service technician quoted me a price of $2427.00 but if I purchased a service contract for $149 the price would be reduced 16%. I also asked him to look at a faucet in the garage that I wanted taken off the circuit for the water softener. He said he would need to open walls to get to it so I stopped it there. This ridiculous estimate cost me $59!!!! After he left I called 2 other plumbers on Angies List that had an overall rating of A (their rating was C). Both plumbers were willing to give me an estimate over the phone and both quoted me a price of $700 which didn't include 10% discount for Angies List members. When the plumber I hired came out to do the job he looked at the faucet in the garage and said no walls had to be opened. I don't know how Herrmann Services gets away with such exorbitant prices but I certainly won't use them.

Herrmann does a good job, and I have been happy with their work. They are expensive! I still have a contract with them.

They are multiservice company; they do a little bit of everything. They were professional and efficient. Electricians are expensive.

Overall very good, while it turned out to confirm what I had already surmised they only charged the service charge to check it out. Since they do not sale fireplaces he didn't have enough information to tell me what my options were other than a couple he had limited knowledge of. I cant fault him for not installing more units I just wish someone could tell me what sort of replacement options are available for my situation.

The man came and said I needed to install a new fixture, claiming the valve seats were bad. I could not see any damage. After arguing with me for 30 minutes, I let him install a new fixture with new washers. I was charged $289.00 for this service. I can buy a lot of washers for $289.00, and I know how to change them. What really made me mad was he was so insistent on installing a new fixture. I don't mind them giving me advice, but this went way beyond that. I will not use them in the future for anything.
