I received 3 quotes for the gutters. One company, Rain-A-Way, on Angie's List was referred to me from a person doing work at my house. I never met the person who quoted the job at $1420.00, and never receive a follow up phone call. I met the second company who was very nice, and came out the day the I called. Re-Sash, on Angie's List also. His price was $870.00 and was about 3 to 4 weeks out for installation due to weather. For what it is worth, I had a good comfort level here. The third quote was Gutter Tech of Kenwood. I spoke to Mike on the phone and he went to my house the same day to do a quote. He emailed me the quote the following morning. It was $790.00 after a 5% Angie's List discount. The installation was done within 5 days of giving the go ahead on a Saturday because it had been raining during the week. Mike gave me priority because I did not have any gutters up at all. I never met Mike, but felt very comfortable on the phone and he allowed me to pay him when I came back from out of town travel. It was actually a pleasure to do this particular project since there were no glitches.

The cost for this was fine but it did not take them very long to do the service. The bracket part was a little expensive. He did a good job. He was nice and did a thorough job as well.

On 6/9/11 i made an appointment with them to have my gutters cleaned and was told "tomorrow 6/10" so i tool the day off as i had other gutters issues i needed taken care of and was willing to pay what was asked.At 11:30 on the 10th I called them to get a better time line and was told 2 to 4 and when they did not show up i called again at 4:30 and no one answered.Angie's List is refunding my $75 so he shows up today 96/13) when only my wife is home and cleans the gutters, go figure

The price was through an Angie's List Big Deal of the Day. Due to the response he got, it took a few days for him to get out to the house, but I was in contact with him the next business day after I bought. No problems with the cleaning, though we haven't had a big rain to see it. This included an inspection of the roof, where he told us there were no issues.

As described above, everything went well, and I was very pleased with the work done.

Contact Handyman in Monday and described services I needed. He gave me a quote over the phone for $150 plus parts and that was the lowest quote I recevied. I advised I'd call him back as he stated he could have the work done on Tuesday no problem. Contact Handyman back on Tuesday and advised I wanted to move forward. He stated he would be there Wednesday afternoon and would contact me. I let him know that I was taking 1/2 vacation from work so he could get this done. At 4 pm on Wednesday I call as he never showed up. He stated he had the days wrong and appologised and would give me a reduced price due to the error. I let him know I would think about as he said he could do the work on Thursday. I called him back 30 minutes later and left a message stating I wanted to move forward and to confirm with me he could do the work on Thursday. He never called back. Also sent Angie's list email and he never responded. I had the work completed by someone else. Poor first experience with Angie's list.

First, he arrived by himself, with no equipment (like a dolly) to move the large metal file cabinet. Nor did he have blankets or material to put under the cabinet to move it. He ended up scratching my (80 year old) oak flooring in multiple places. He did offer to 'fix' the scratches, but I did not want him to, since I pretty much lost confidence in his abilities when it came to flooring, so I told him I would take care of that myself. After he assembled the Ikea bookcase, I noticed gaps between the top horizontal board and the divider pieces. He didn't have an explanation for that, and I didn't press it; I was already a bit uneasy with what I perceived as his ability to do the work requested. After he left, and I was cleaning up in the basement, I noticed some of the bookcase elements unused (there were some 16 short dowel rods left over - these are used for connecting one piece to another). Then I decided to look over the instructions, and saw right from the picture on the front that he had assembled it incorrectly. This 6' x 6' bookcase needed to be unassembled and put back together properly. So, I called him the next day, and told him what happened. He was puzzled how that could be but was willing to come by later that day and re-do it. I did not want him to assemble it again, cause I honestly did not have any confidence in his ability to do so. I told him to come by and help me get it down on the floor, and make sure I could take it apart by myself, and I would assemble it; he just needed to come back the next day and afix it to the wall and level it. So, I assembled the bookcase. He came back and put it up. Then he offerered to give me 1/2 hour of his time for some work without charge. I will not be taking advantage of that.

Very professional and affordable - would definitely use again!

Great experience overall. Mike came out to look over our problems following my explanation on the phone. He concluded he did not have a ladder tall enough to reach the elbow that had pulled away from the gutter, but said he had a colleague who did. He followed up that evening with a written proposal which I accepted and the repairs were made the following day. Mike then came back to personally check on the repairs and ensure they were done to my satisfaction.

I needed to replace a damged gutter due to some storm damage. I called Mike and he came out the same day to give me an estimate. I received an email with the quote the next day. I had also called another company and Mike's quote was well below the other company. He came out 2 days later to do the job. I wasn't home for the repair, but everything looked great when I got home. Great job at a great price! Very professional. I'll definitely call him again.

I called Mike after being told by a popular company that they would not make it to my house for weeks. Mike came out the same day I called and was able to provide me a quote within a day. He took care of the gutter issues quickly. Mike found the source of the separation. Roofers two years ago left a glove on the roof that got stuck in the downspout.

Overall, I'd say I got a bargain. Mike cared about delivering a fair price, and cared our feeling 100% satisfied with his work. He was easy to communicate with, and in every way accommodating.

They did a pretty good job. They were prompt and their work was good. It was a reasonable price. They were here when they said they would be and the work was done when they said it would be done. The pricing was fair and they were very friendly. It turned out very well.

I chose him because he was the least expensive. I usually get three estimates and he was the third and the others were quoting three times as much. He painted door frames, closet walls, and plastered inside the closet. He did a nice job. He was non threatening. I'm an older lady living alone so it is important for me to put safety first. The receptionist for the company was professional. accommodating, and took the time to answer my questions. She was very nice.

Excellent experience. Mike was prompt to return my calls, came when he said he would, did an excellent job and left the work are clean.

My husband called, & the service guy was out the next day. He repaired the gutter that was hanging off the house, & also fixed another gutter that was loose. He offered to clean our gutters in the spring. Service was prompt & very professional. I will definitely use this company again.

Mike answered the phone and arranged a time to stop by the same day to give an estimate on the minor job.The work was scheduled and succesfully completed in a timely manner as promised.. Mike was courteous and professional . He was willing to take the time to answer questions and provide ideas regarding a future project.I would definately use his services again.

I first contacted Heitmeyer-Handyman to repair a broken window in my son's room. Mike answered the phone promptly and came to my home within a couple of hours to look at the job. He quickly gave me an estimate for the work and we agreed he would return the next day to repair the window. He was as good as his word, arriving the next afternoon ready to work. He finished the job quickly and cleaned up the work area nicely. I was well satisfied with the price and quality of the repair. A couple of weeks later I again contacted Heitmeyer-Handyman to install two storm doors for me. Mike was extremely helpful, giving me advice as to where to purchase the doors and what to look for. We agreed that I would purchase the doors at Home Depot, and he would pick them up and put them on for me. After I bought the doors, I called Mike and we arranged for the work to be done. Again, he arrived on time and ready to work. He picked up the doors, brought them to my home, and then installed them expertly. As with the window, he cleaned up the work area very well. I have no doubt that I will use Heitmeyer-Handyman again in the future. Mike is courteous and professional, he does great work, and his fees are very reasonable. I already have a list of additional jobs I want him to help me with in a few weeks. I give Heitmeyer-Handyman my highest recommendation.

found this company on angies and called since he was located close to where i live. he was very prompt in return phone calls and at the appt. for the est. he explained all of the cost involved and why, minium charge and what it would include. very professional. on day of work he and his workers arrived on time and worked professionaly. completed the job well in the est. time frame.

They said that they would email me the estimate, but I have yet to receive it. It has been about a week and I haven't heard back from them at all. I don't feel that they are very professional, since they didn't do what they said they were going to do.

Mike came out the next day and came right in the hour window he said he would. He even called ahead when he was on his way. Mike explained what he did to fix it and said we should never have a problem with that down spout again. He said to call him if there was and he'd come up and correct it. Very nice guy and professional. Price was definitely reasonable and he came to Kentucky from Kenwood.

This issue with my bathroom shower happened around the same time as my wife's delivery. Obviously this was a very stressful time for all. Thankfully Mike did a tremendous job, sharing with me many different options that could save me time and money. He was wonderful to work with, I definitely recommend and will use again in the future.

They did a good job, and I would recommend them. Their pricing was good, and they did not overcharge me. The person was prompt and came the same day that I called. He gave me an estimate and addressed the issues that I was concerned about. He then completed the work on time. The entire work was finished in five days and it was done as promised.

Everything went great. He work was a good value for the money.

I had a list of odd jobs I wanted to have done to get my home ready for sale. He performed them all and did a nice job. Very pleasant, worked around my small kids and was very flexible about scheduling time to finish the work. Did not feel like I had to supervise him at all. Hard worker.
