clock repair
 + -1 moreVery knowledgable about any clock mechanism, especially grandfather clocks!! He is a very friendly, reliable, reasonably-priced, ethical clock repair person. He also stands behind his work. I had a small problem with the clock after he left. He returned in a couple days to quickly take care of the problem. He has been working with clocks all his life. He now does this on a somewhat part-time basis, working whenever he needs to in order to get his repairs done in a timely fashion. However, if you call him to come to your home for repairs, he will set up a prompt appointment. He arrives right on time. I will have Mr. Hahn doing all my clock work from now on! He is a very good clock repair man that you can depend on.
Description of Work: He was able to restore the chiming of our 25-year old grandfather clock, which had not chimed in over 10 years. He fixed the problem in a relatively short time (~20 minutes) and did not think that I needed to buy a new mechanism just yet (as another clock repairman had suggested to do now). He noted the gears had minimal wear and said I may be able to get a lot more years out of it. When the gears become more worn then he would be glad to come and install a new workings for this clock. He also cleaned and lubricated the clock mechanism in this clock. Furthermore, he took a "Reliable" chime, wall clock to his shop to clean and lubricate. He did not want to do it in my home due to the intricacy of the mechanism. No extra charge for taking it to his shop.
