Great! The plumber was here early, very friendly and understanding about what was needed. While he was in there, he replaced a few other valves and tidied up the area under the sink (the hose had been rubbing against a metal shelf). Plumbing ain't cheap but I very much like that he saw some easy things that could be fixed and would help prevent us from needing his services down the road ;)

Robert from Halpin arrived early (after calling to check that that was okay) and diagnosed the problem quickly. He augured out the drain and cleared the clog. He made sure to run water to make sure that the clog was gone. The whole visit took about 20 minutes and Robert was very courteous and friendly. I will be using Halpin again. Also, Halpin has coupons for various services in the Val-Pak.

They located a bigger problem we had been experiencing but didn't know where it was coming from. Because they use a camera on the job I was able to see exactly what was happening underground, real time. I would highly recommend them to others.

Great--he fixed the immediate problem and also replaced a pipe under the sink that was deteriorating. He was very helpful.

I would give them all "A"s. One person came out and it took two hours. They left the area fine. I would absolutely use them again.

It was a messy excavation but the repair was done professionally and in a timely manner.

I live in another state, and the work they do for me is at a rental property. They've been very respectful about working with my tenants and always cleaning up after themselves.

This work was major for us, and we had to put it off for a while. Their crew was responsive in analyzing the problem and working to find an effective solution we could afford. The entire Halpin team provided thorough, careful service, within the time frame and at the price originally quoted, and helped us make contact for financing. No drama, very pleased with the results, and would definitely hire again.

Excellent! Darrel and Andrew were the 2 technicians, very thorough and explained the procedure and what we were seeing on the monitor. They answered the many questions and concerns I had. We walked outside, they had a piece of equipment that indicated where the scope ended, under the street in front of my house. All was clear, no roots or issues out to the street line. I had a Val-Pak coupon for a free scope. There was no cost to me, not even for coming out. I will definitely call them with any future plumbing needs.

It went excellently! The suggestions and execution that were made for the changes were incredible and inciteful. The ideas that were presented were excellent and on point. The materials were professionally installed. The look and function are incredible.

Good service, they had to come back because they didn't do it right. He talked to the head plumbing and got it working.

Excellent - Taylor Solomon did a great job installing and was the one plumber out of several who suggested this change to increase our poor water pressure.

1. Did not arrive any where near scheduled arrival window. 2. Unknowledgeable plumbers arrived very unfamiliar with my issue. Never gave an estimate and were unable to do any diagnosis. Was told there would be a flat service call fee with an estimate for any services required. Fee would be waived if I purchased services. 3. Did not do an estimate. Did not get my okay or give me pricing on services. 4. No fix, no better than before they arrive 5. Tried to charge me $451 6. Could not itemize their bill or give me a receipt. Specifically asked to have my vent stakes examined which they did not do. They walked around my neighborhood looking for the smell when I told them I had already extensively does this. Sent a smoke bomb into my clean out but did not know where the smoke went. Did the test again and had to call supervisor to ask why the smoke was sucked into the sewer system. Could not tell me why. After two hours of mostly standing around they tried to charge me $451. Could not itemize the charge. Talked to supervisor who also could not itemize the bill. Would gladly have paid for service call and smoke bombs (even though the plumber had no idea how to conduct the smoke test or give results) but pretty sure it does not total $451. Absolutely seemed like a bait and switch. Came out to do an estimate, stood around for two hours and then charged me for something without discussing the price, getting my okay and worst, left me with no fix.

Tommy called first., arrived as arranged, and did a great job. He put on shoe covers, checked everything, gave me an estimate and did the work. He was courteous and professional. He left the bath in perfect condition. We haven't needed a plumber since we moved in and redid the bathroom. I liked using Angie's List to find a plumber and am really happy with the price and service from Halpin. I will call them again for any plumbing issues.

The sump pump in the basement wasn't working and every time there was a hard rain, the basement would flood. We called Halpin Plumbing on Monday and the problem was fixed on Wednesday! Robert cleaned out the muddy sump pit, checked the motor, flushed the drain out with a hose, drilled a weep hole that was missing in the PVC pipe and gave us lots of great advice on how to prevent problems in the future. I will definitely call them again!

They were lifesavers. We were stuck after the first company left. The pricing was reasonable considering it was a holiday weekend and they did a great job.

Halpin was the 3rd estimate we got for what we thought would be a very expensive problem, and I'm so glad we got a 3rd estimate. The first estimate (Roto Rooter) quoted us close to $5K to do the same job. Another smaller local company provided an estimate around $2K, so we were thrilled when Halpin quoted us approx. $1700. I was a little concerned with them being lower and hoped it didn't impact quality, but the quality of the work was great, what they predicted would take a full day was completed in a little over a 1/2 day with a crew of 2. This is our first time using Halpin but will definitely be using them again in the future. We paid $87 to become a "member" which comes with a few different perks including a free inspection each year -- that itself will pretty much pay for the membership price. The office staff and the plumbers were friendly and honest-- and best of all, what we were charged matched our original estimate to the dime, and there was no hard up-selling or pressure to do additional work which I've experienced with almost every other plumbing service used in the past. During our original estimate visit, they did provide a 2nd quote for some additional work but only because I asked for it, and they provided stand-alone costs for both projects plus a price break if we had both jobs done in the same day-- I am saving the other job for a later date but will definitely be using them when I'm ready to complete the other work (laundry tub replacement). Happy customer!

Technicians Terry and Taylor were friendly and competent. They described options and costs after assessing our sewer drain. Although the final cost was daunting, seeing the operation in progress (with a camera) assured us that the problem was taken care of.

We've used Halpin consistently (with one unhappy exception, see my Tarvin review) since we bought this house in 2005. The first time they switched out an outdoor faucet during subzero weather (it was faulty and threatening the pipes which were clanging like mad) -- for a flat $100. The second time they fixed a toilet flange for a flat $100. The third time they hooked up gas lines to our new dryer. They always dispatch someone promptly -- usually in couple hours and rarely charge over the $100 for simple jobs. Reliable, seasoned, affordable.

The gentleman that came to my house was very prompt and courteous. He explained the pricing and what he would do to solve my problems. He did a very good job of explaining the repairs to me and answering my questions. The two toilets were fixed and continue to work. He explained that the faucet leak could hopefully be fixed inexpensively ($75 or so) by cleaning out sand and debris from the faucet handles. If that didn't work, the more expensive route would cost in the neighborhood of $247. I chose the least expensive option, but it started leaking again almost immediately (within 24 hours). I'm a little disappointed this option didn't work as the faucet is only 7 years old. My only course of action at this stage of the game is to replace the entire unit as it doesn't make sense to sink another $247 into it.
