Description of Work: This was years ago, cost an amount of money I was surprised to pay, and a quick one time use. Halpin was an interim provider set up by my regular plumber who was on vacation when my water heater died. My regular plumber is great and I use him for my plumbing needs.

Description of Work: We discovered a water leak in our main pipe as soon as it entered the house...before the turn-off valve at 9 p.m. Halpin arranged for the city to turn off our water at the street that night, then arrived at 7:15 the next morning to repair the pipe. Everyone at Halpin was prompt, concerned, and professional.

Description of Work: Halpin has been our "go to" plumber since we moved into this house many, many years ago. They respond quickly when we call and have always addressed |our needs satisfactorily. I always call on them with confidence, knowing that whatever the problem, it will be resolved in a timely and professional manner.

Description of Work: Came within an hour of a call on a Friday evening for emergency repair. Work was good. Also used previously through a general contractor for plumbing during a kitchen remodeling job. No problems to date. Work was performed in 2008.

Description of Work: The Halpin plumber had to snake our main drain line and unclog our kitchen sink. It was stopped up all the way down in the basement

Description of Work: They worked on a bathroom remodel, and more recently when I had an issue with my hot water heater. My recollection from the bathroom work was that their prices were high, and it took quite a bit of negotiation for them to do what we wanted, and then my husband needed to fix things that they had not done right - he needed to add a water hammer arrester to stop banging in our pipes. The more recent event was that I needed to have some work done related to my hot water heater, and the young man who came over to help with that did not have the technical understanding of updrafts, and risks associated with those - and shut my whole system down. Later, I had a more experienced person from the gas & electric company look at it, and fixed the issue - which was really not an issue - he checked it out and turned it back on, indicating that there was no reason for the plumber to have turned it off. (that work was done in the spring). The above experiences caused me to look elsewhere recently when I needed a plumber to deal with a water main issue.

Description of Work: They replaced the main shut off valve. I was not very happy with the work. The replaced it with one that leaked so I had to have another company do the work.

Description of Work: They rerouted the lines for the downspout that caused some leaking and issues with the clay tiles. They’ve also repaired clogged pipes and drains. They’ve done multiple things for us and we’ve been pleased with their work. They are very precise, do good work, show up on time, and are very knowledgeable. They definitely have good staff. They also try to send the same plumber to your home for multiple jobs.

Description of Work: I use Haplin Plumbing Inc. They test my back flow device, I also had serious clogged pipe and installed a new disposal. I also signed up for their house check service to check all the faucet and drain throughout the house. They discovered a place where my downspouts had moved away from the pipe and they reconnected that.

Description of Work: We are used to using smaller plumbing businesses and were quite shocked by the prices quoted. We used their drain cleaning service this time but not the toilet tank rebuild. They did come out right away which would be very helpful in a more urgent need situation.

Description of Work: HALPIN RETURNED TO GRADE OUR YARD AFTER A STORM SEWER INSTALLATION. THEY OFFERED TO SEED AND FILL OUR YARD IN ADDITION TO THE GRADING WHICH WAS PART OF THE SEWER PROJECT. WE AGREED AND THEY CHARGED US FOR THE SEEDING AND THE GRADING. WE LET IT GO, RELIEVED TO HAVE THE MESS CLEARED UP. THIS SPRING OUR YARD HAS RUTS AND SINK HOLES. THE COMPANY HAS STATED THAT THEY ARE NOT LANDSCAPERS AND HAVE REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR REFUND PART OF THE CHARGE. WHY DID THEY OFFER TO DO WORK THEY WERE NOT QUALIFIED OR ABLE TO DO THEN NOT STAND BEHIND IT?
