I was looking for a complete system which would provide consistent comfort throughout my entire 2 story home and which was energy efficient. I feel I had done an extensive amount of research to narrow down what products and services I would need. While I had several companies provide in house consultation and quotes on various furnace and heat pump systems, none of them seemed to provide the total solution I was looking for until consulting with Hader. That is, I was looking for: energy efficiency with consistent comfort/temperatures throughout the house. I'm sure many companies provide excellent systems and services. However Hader's professionals went to the next level by not only choosing the right systems but also by focusing on the details and the importance of the installation itself. Furthermore, they are one of the only certified Aeroseal installers in this area and I became convinced through my research, that such a product was necessary to maximize the efficiency of a new system while maintaining a consistent comfort level throughout the enitre house. I now have a complete - end to end solution. I am able to set our thermostat lower in the winter than in past winters; I have consistent temperatures throughout the house - (even the rooms furthest from the furnace/blower) and I have considerable less dust floating around the house which I attribute to the Aeroseal/duct sealing product also.....All for a good value! Hader Heating and Cooling and Aeroseal Solutions is perhaps a well kept secret except to those of us who have used them. I highly endorse and recommend them for home energy consultation, heating and cooling systems installation, and maintenance and Aeroseal - duct sealing installation and consultation.

Hader was able to schedule an appointment for the day after I called which was perfect for my schedule . The day of the appointment, they called to see if the appointment could be earlier than planned which was great. The technician was very professional, explained the work he did, and highlighted things that may need to be replaced in the future due to the age of the system. He wasn't trying to sell me any additional services but wanted to make sure he mentioned what he saw. I really appreciated his transparency and his intent on making sure things were done the right way. I will definitely use Hader again.

Doug the GM & Pete the technician, came the day after I called. My furnace was out & I had only the heat from the fireplace. As soon as I selected the model furnace & A/C, Doug had a first rate crew here to install it. Overall, I was disappointed that despite Doug's assurances, we did not pass the air infiltration test & therefore did not qualify for an incentive offered by the Greater Cinti Energy Alliance. The incentive was $1500 toward the cost of the system we bought. We went with Doug and a Bryant system because of the incentive. The Bryant system was the most expensive we considered but Doug was certain we would be able to qualify for the $1500. When we didn't qualify, it felt like a bait and switch on Doug's part. Doug should have been less eager to complete our sale. His installers, Larry and Mike, were prompt, courteous, competent and thorough. Overall, the experience was a B.

They cleaned the furnace. They did good and came when they were scheduled. i had them come back a few day's later to replace the humidifier pad.

PERFECT! The customer service reps were polite, responsive, they priced matched a competitor's coupon (I wanted to go with Haders because they had done a fabulous job on a previous service call) -- They even worked around MY schedule and were willing to fit me in before the weekend. The serviceman was polite, thorough and patient when explaining to us how things worked. Will definitely use them again.

Very nice, on time, very careful when bringing large pieces of furnace. I in and out of the house, very accommodating.

Our furnace was making a knocking noise. Turns out the fan was off balance and as a result the motor's ball bearings became worn. Hader's was able to get same day replacement parts (thank goodness because nightly temperature was dropping to below 30) - the service gentlemen picked-up the parts and came back SAME DAY and fixed us up!

I had been very happy. Everything has been great. They really make customer service a strong point. They thought they wanted to route the exterior vent pipe towards my patio, and I kind of made a face and told them that it does not look pretty good. They went back down. I have a lot of things going on out to the sides, but they will figure out a way to do it on the side, so that it would not be on my patio side because they said they wanted to make me happy. They took extra time. I know it was not as easy because they have a lot of things to work around.

Best cleaning job on my A/C I've ever had at a lower price.

Hader was an excellant company. They were able to send out a technician within a few hours of me calling. Tom, the technician they sent was extremely nice, professional, and more thorough than anyone I have ever hired. The only complaint I would have is that the they did not have the part they needed to fix my furnace initially. They had to order it. He explained that they had just added Gibson furnaces to the list of brands they sell and was extremely apologetic that he had to wait on the part. However they called me the next day, as soon as the part was in to reschedule the repair. Tom was extremely punctual both times he was sent to our house, arriving at the beginning of each time slot they gave me. He was also very quick with his work. From beginning to end, my experience with Hader Heating and Cooling was excellent. I would recommend them to everyone.

The installers came for an inspection. They told me how to prepare for installation. They came, installed courteously & excellently.

I bought a deal on Angies list for cleaning and inspection of my furnace and air conditioning units. They were almost on time, which is why I gave a 'B' for punctuality. A problem was found with my air conditioning unit. It wasn't turning off, even though the fan was (which is why we didn't know). Our electric bill had been double the month before, and this explained that issue. He had the parts with him to fix the problem and didn't charge a ton. I would use them again because they fixed my issues, were professional and cleaned up after themselves when cleaning my furnace. I was very happy with Hader.

Great, prompt, efficient, very tidy, honest, dependable.

Our air conditioner went out yesterday and it got hot real quick. Woke up and looked on Angieslist for some assistance. Hader was pretty close and had alot of good reviews. I called and got a quick answer, and a service tech was here within 1 hour. It took him about 10 minutes to find the problem and get the air back on. Apparently the company I had been using for the last year cut copper tubing to fit the fuses which I was informed was a huge no no. He let me know that it could have overheated the wires and started a fire. I am so glad he was able to spot the huge safety hazard. We will definitely be using Hader heating & air for all our future problems.

I called to schedule an appointment on Thurs., 7/5, expecting there to be a delay of several days, knowing HVAC folks would be very busy due to the extreme heat wave we had at the time. At first I was told of an appointment a week later, but when asked if there was any way to come sooner due to the water on the floor, I was able to get an appointment the following Tuesday, 7/10. The fella that came to my house was very nice, professional & knowledgeable. The girl that scheduled the appointment wasn't so great, but it's the repair person that I care about! I was billed $30 to repair the pvc drainage tubing and $94 for the AC service check.

It was better than I imagined. I found Thompson to be honest about the services needed, but Hader cost much less for the same work. I cancelled my monthly membership with Thompson and will now go with Hader.

I have used them for several years and I would recommend them highly. They are courteous and straight-forward; they tell me what the problem is. They are reasonably priced and they are friendly and on time. We called other places to see what the prices were and we went with Hader. The representative at Hader emphasized that he would make a follow-up visit within a few days of having the system installed and we never heard from him again. He made a big deal of that and we thought that was really nice. It wasn’t very professional to use that as a selling point and then not follow up. It doesn’t affect their overall quality. Other than that I think they are really good. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

I applied for furnace replacements estimates thru a website and Hader called within minutes. Doug came out that day and took the time to investigate my duct system thoroughly and point out some mistakes in the original installation (missing plugs, duct headers and transitions that were too small, etc.). I really appreciated his enthusiasm, professionalism, thoroughness and time he spent to explain everything that Hader had to offer. His crew showed up on schedule, put in a new furnace, humidfier and water heater and cleaned up as if they weren't there. Again, a very professional and thorough job. Doug came back out several nights later to inspect the work and explain the finer points of the system. I intend to use Hader Heating and Cooling again and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new furnace or AC unit.

When we purchased our 74-year old home in Cincinnati we knew an HVAC replacement would be in order some time soon after moving in. Imagine our surprise when our first winter heating bill arrived: the total was over $500! Our furnace and air conditioner had been installed in 1971; we moved in 36 years later in 2007. To say it was living on borrowed time would be an understatement. Luckily for us, it was a Bryant system, and although woefully inefficient when compared to today's standards it never felt like it would "die" at any moment; if anything it seemed to be happily chugging along nearly 4 decades later. Having lived with (and helped install) forced-air systems for many years, we knew that great advances had been made with multi-stage, variable speed fans and digital controls. We contacted neighbors and searched Angie's List to narrow our list of potential contractors to perform the work. We settled on what we considered the "top 3" in our area. Our 1938 Tudor Revival home had been well-maintained by only a few owners through the years; we discovered that each owner had saved some of the records of the previous owners. One set of records included a quote for a new furnace and air conditioning system from one of our "top 3": Hader Heating and Cooling in Westwood. The quote was typewritten and signed by a gentleman named Ray Beiser. Hader made it to our list of 3 potential contractors because of many reasons: our neighbor had used them for decades, their sticker was on our old system indicating a long history with our location, and the reviews we found on Angie's List. Once we found the old quote, well, that sort of sealed the deal ? Hader had to be among our "top 3". The other contractors came out first ? and although they were professional and reputable, they just didn't leave us with a comfortable feeling about making such a large investment. We hoped the visit from Hader would be different. Imagine our surprise when the day arrived and it was Ray Beiser himself ? the gent that had signed the quote back in 1971 for the previous owners ? rang our doorbell! Mr. Beiser was a complete professional and also told us all kinds of history about why our furnace had been installed in the manner in which it was ? he even remembered who did the installation work (and that fellow was also still working at Hader!) and how they had to special order 2 units in order to fit them through the only available opening for the utility room. When I showed Mr. Beiser his signature on the quote from 1971, he smiled. Needless to say any business that was still operating ? with the same man at the helm no less! ? more than 4 decades later is obviously doing something right! Hands-down, Hader provided the most thorough and professional analysis of our home and its heating & cooling needs, taking everything a good HVAC pro should: square footage, windows, doors, size of ductwork, location or register and returns, etc. Ray made us feel comfortable right from the start and it was immediately obvious to us that this was the company we would hire. Ray calculated that we were losing at least 40% (perhaps more than 50%) of our heating energy right up the chimney with the old system ? meaning our 40-year old furnace was working at about a 60% efficiency maximum. His calculations turned out to be correct: although energy prices continue to increase, we have pretty much never exceeded half of our previous highest energy bill. Our comfort has increased dramatically, too; the multi-stage variable-speed fan means no more "Blast-Freeze" cycles during the heating season. The actual installation couldn't have gone better; the crew sent to our home was top-notch. They waited until we were in the fall season so it wouldn't be too cool or too hot during the time we'd be w/o conditioned air of any kind. The guys were total professionals and we were amazed at how many different trades (carpentry, plumbing, metalsmithing, electrical, etc.) are actually required when installing an HVAC system. Nothing about our 1938 home or 40-year old system phased them in the slightest. They were in and out in the blink of any eye (2-3 days tops). We also benefited from the energy rebates offered by the U.S. government and our local energy provider, which helped to lower our costs dramatically. Doug Beiser (Ray's son) helped us figure out how all of that worked and ensured that those rebates were processed. We couldn't be happier with our new Bryant system: it is efficient, quiet, and the Evolution digital thermostat control is amazing. Being able to adjust the humidity level in our home via a digital panel is a miracle when you're used to the old way of trudging to your humidifier and manually setting the controls. We highly recommend calling Hader Heating and Cooling if you're in the market for service or a new system ? you will be pleasantly surprised by their level of professionalism, the quality of their workforce, the knowledge of the industry and science they posses ? and their prices. Plus its a good bet that 25-40 years from now when you need another new system they'll still be around :)

Hader was great. I was able to talk to the owner directly when I called and he was able to give me a quote over the phone on how much it would cost to repair a part on my furnance. The amount he quoted me was the exact amount they charged me - no 'service fee', no 'add'l taxes'. They were able to fit me in to their schedule for when it worked best for me and fixed the whole thing in under 30 mins. I had originally gotten a quote for $400 MORE than what Hader ended up charging me.

Hader was very good in consulting with us on our needs. Has been responsive on a few follow-up items needed after install.
