H Hafner and Sons Inc

I contacted H Hafner and Sons by email and received an immediate contact and set up an on-site visit within hours. The representative was prompt and professional, took pictures of the project, discussed it briefly and said a bid would be forthcoming. That was over 2 months ago. I waited 2 weeks to hear something then called to ask about the estimate. The polite woman answering the phone said Justin would contact me. Three more phone calls over 2 months were all answered the same way. But never a contact. They have my cell phone, address and email. Nothing. Clearly this is a project they are not interested in, but a simple call or text would have been the professional way to respond. Now I am months delayed because I waited courteously for a response to any of my very polite inquiries.

They never even bothered to respond to my request for a quote. Not a word. They could have at least acknowledged my inquiry and politely declined to provide service.

Wood was delivered in large totes. A lot difficult for me to move them around to empty them.

Service was excellent. The wood burned great but had a strange odor.

I made it clear to the person at Hafner's who took the order that I wanted triple-shredded mulch. I take pride in my landscape and this was very important to me. Very disappointed in the quality - at best this was double-shredded mulch. Once you have 17 cubic yards of mulch dumped in your driveway there is not much you can do about it, except capture the experience on Angie's List. Contacted Hafner's anyway - person listened to my complaint - but nothing resolved.

Did a great job - arrived when they said they would and the wood they delivered has been very high quality. Definitely will use again.

Truck arrived on time and driver was very courteous and took his time to put the mulch exactly where I wanted it. He did a great job and was concerned about getting it placed just right. The mulch is really a good quality, much better than I have gotten from other people. I decided to use them this time because of recommendations from friends and Angies list and I am glad I did. I have ordered 10 cubic yards of mulch before and thought that it never looked like it was enough, but H Hafner delivered a good load of mulch which really looks like 10 cubic yards of really good clean mulch and it doesn't smell bad like others I have used. I will always order my mulch from them.

Excellent service. The mulch quality was good. It arrived on time and the driver who unloaded the mulch on our driveway was very courteous, and unloaded on one side of the driveway so we could still user the driveway. They have a quality product and their service was excellent.

They delivered the mulch on time and it was fine. There were no problems at all with the delivery service.

The driver was easy to work with and ordering went well although if there was a better grade of soil I could've ordered this would have been the time for the salesperson to tell me. When I ordered shredded top soil I did not expect to have any clay.

I had several deliveries for a landscaping project that involved reseeding my lawn, leveling the ground, and prepping it for seeding. I was not familiar with their product, so they delivered both topsoil and what is called garden mix, which is more expensive. Garden mix worked very well, but the topsoil was not fit for landscaping.

Product cost was consistent with other Compost suppliers. Scheduling and delivery went very smoothly, Supplier personnel were professional and prompt in responding to questions and next day delivery was available. The supplier provided a 10% senior discount and an Angies List customer discount on the delivery fee Delivery was on time and the Product quality was good, but contained more rocks than I would have anticipated, that said overall quality of product met my expectations and I would not hesitate to use this supplier in the future.

The order process was easy. They showed up on time to deliver the mulch. Saturday delivery didn't cost extra. I probably should have order the slightly more expensive black mulch as the color faded substantially by the end of the season. Otherwise, everything went well and we were happy with their service.

They came within the hour to deliver it, which is impressive especially during their busy time.

I found Hafner and Sons, Inc on Angie's List and decided to call them based on the reviews on the List. Spoke with Eric, who was very helpful in calculating how much sand I needed, the type of sand needed and acquiring the best price. He told me they were able to deliver the sand that same day and I was ecstatic. I was given an approximate time of delivery, which was fine. The gentleman who delivered the sand was Harold, and you couldn't have met a nicer person. It was a tight fit between the house and the landscaping and he had a HUGE truck with 2 tons of sand to back into the yard quite a ways. But he did a great job of it. I was impressed with the quality of the sand as well; very fine sand which was easy to work with once dumped. Everything went so smoothly from the initial phone conversation to the time Harold left the property.

It worked out fine. I wasn't even there when they delivered it. They delivered fine.

Good. Especially appreciate the receptionist/scheduler who pointed me to where I could get a coupon. Compared this price to two others, and with or without coupon, Hafners was the best deal. Delivery was on time and well done.

Their prices were the best around and the delivery scheduling was very easy. The truck drivers were professional and helpful. We will use this company again next year for our mulch.

My order and delivery were on the same day. Chris delivered the topsoil to my house and was very nice. My driveway is on a hill and he attempted to place the topsoil in the exact place I needed it, but the hill was to steep to do safely so it was placed at the top of the driveway. My only complaint is there was what I considered a large amount of plastic and other debris in the topsoil. I didn't know what to expect but I didn't think there would be plastic and other stuff in the dirt. We had removed the large bushes in front and on the side of our house and needed topsoil so we could plant flowers and new bushes. This was my first time purchasing topsoil so I didn't know how much it would be. Next time I will get a tarp or plastic to cover the mound before the dirt is delivered since it rained earlier than I expected. Everything worked out though.

,I built a new home in the Willows Bend subdivision in Loveland. I walked my property with Dave Hafner and explained to him what I wanted to do, where I wanted patios, walls and walks. Dave provide recommendations on the types of plants that would work best given our location and the sun exposure on the various sides of my home, and as well as the size and location of my patios. The finished landscape exceeded my expectations and Dave made my landscape vision a reality. I would highly recommend Dave Hafner & Sons for your landscape project. He is very professional, knows what trees, shrubs, and plants will thrive in our area, and provides tremendous value for the price paid.

Overall, the experience was great. It was my second time ordering. The first time I ordered, everything went very smoothly. The second time I ordered I spoke with someone who I think was new and eager to help, but they had to call me back. Unfortunately, they didn't call back so I called again the next day, they apologized and I had my order in. Delivery was great and right on time. The product is awesome.

We purchased yards of black, dyed mulch. This was the first time we used this company. We will use them again. We were pleased with the mulch and timliness of their delivery. Most impressive though was their response to an issue we had at the time of delivery. They immediately said they would correct the issue and responded pleasantly and promptly - no hassles, whatsoever - wonderful to work with. We were very satisfied with this company

H Hafner provided an excellent quality black dyed hardwood mulch - about 6 yards - to our house. They were prompt, called to confirm that day, and the driver was very friendly and courteous. I've been very impressed with the quality of the mulch. It will be nice to see if it maintains its black color over the winter. Highly recommend these folks.

The office staff was very responsive and quiet helpful. I believe the price I paid was quiet fair. The delivery driver was very responsive and he offered advice on placing the product to lighten my labor. The product is excellent. The only issue I had was the delivery occurred 2.5 hours after the agreed upon timeframe. The office did call me several times to inform me of the status of the tardy deivery. I would definitely purchase from Hafner again and I would recommend their products to my friends.

I called Hafner's on Wednesday to ask questions about top soil. The girl on the phone was very informative and professional. Based on her description, I decided to order the remediated soil to be delivered the following Saturday between 10-11am.The driver was a little late, but they called in advance to let me know when to expect him. I discussed with the driver where and how we wanted the soil dropped and he dropped it perfectly. He could not have been more on target and once again was a very informative and professional person. The soil itself was beautiful. It was described as having visible rocks and sticks, however, while we could see some small pebbles, we never saw stick one. The soil was nice and loose, and very easy to rake and shovel. I was extremely happy with the whole experience.
