I made it clear to the person at Hafner's who took the order that I wanted triple-shredded mulch.  I take pride in my landscape and this was very important to me.  Very disappointed in the quality - at best this was double-shredded mulch.  Once you have 17 cubic yards of mulch dumped in your driveway there is not much you can do about it, except capture the experience on Angie's List.  Contacted Hafner's anyway - person listened to my complaint - but nothing resolved.

Truck arrived on time and driver was very courteous and took his time to put the mulch exactly where I wanted it.  He did a great job and was concerned  about getting it placed just right.  The mulch is really a good quality, much better than I have gotten from other people.  I decided to use them this time because of recommendations from friends and Angies list and I am glad I did.  I have ordered 10 cubic yards of mulch before and thought that it never looked like it was enough, but H Hafner delivered a good load of mulch which really looks like 10 cubic yards of really good clean mulch and it doesn't smell bad like others I have used.  I will always order my mulch from them.

Excellent service. The mulch quality was good. It arrived on time and the driver who unloaded the mulch on our driveway was very courteous, and unloaded on one side of the driveway so we could still user the driveway.


They have a quality product and their service was excellent.

The driver was easy to work with and ordering went well although if there was a better grade of soil I could've ordered this would have been the time for the salesperson to tell me.  When I ordered shredded top soil I did not expect to have any clay.

Our records indicate that on 04-19-2013 you purchased 3 cubic yards of Midnight Magic Supreme and 1 cubic yard of Virgin Shredded Topsoil. We show this delivery being made on time with no associated issues. Once again, we apologize that the clay content of the soil was not to your liking, however even topsoil contains some amount of clay. Tri-annual testing shows that the clay content within our soil averages to 15%, well under the industry accepted level of 25%. Through the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS), our soil is classified as MH, a suitable classification for topsoil. In an effort to ameliorate this issue, we are willing to offer you free delivery with your next purchase. We hope that this offer satisfies the situation and you will continue to use our products and services."

I had several deliveries for a landscaping project that involved reseeding my lawn, leveling the ground, and prepping it for seeding. I was not familiar with their product, so they delivered both topsoil and what is called garden mix, which is more expensive. Garden mix worked very well, but the topsoil was not fit for landscaping.

Product cost was consistent with other Compost suppliers.  Scheduling and delivery went very smoothly, Supplier personnel were professional and prompt in responding to questions and next day delivery was available. The supplier provided a 10% senior discount and an Angies List customer discount on the delivery fee  Delivery was on time  and the Product quality was good, but contained more rocks than I would have anticipated, that said overall quality of product met my expectations and I would not hesitate to use this supplier in the future.

I found Hafner and Sons, Inc on Angie's List and decided to call them based on the reviews on the List.  Spoke with Eric, who was very helpful in calculating how much sand I needed, the type of sand needed and acquiring the best price.  He told me they were able to deliver the sand that same day and I was ecstatic.  I was given an approximate time of delivery, which was fine.  The gentleman who delivered the sand was Harold, and you couldn't have met a nicer person.  It was a tight fit between the house and the landscaping and he had a HUGE truck with 2 tons of sand to back into the yard quite a ways.  But he did a great job of it.  I was impressed with the quality of the sand as well; very fine sand which was easy to work with once dumped.
Everything went so smoothly from the initial phone conversation to the time Harold left the property.

Good. Especially appreciate the receptionist/scheduler who pointed me to where I could get a coupon. Compared this price to two others, and with or without coupon, Hafners was the best deal. Delivery was on time and well done.

My order and delivery were on the same day.  Chris delivered the topsoil to my house and was very nice. My driveway is on a hill and he attempted to place the topsoil in the exact place I needed it, but the hill was to steep to do safely so it was placed at the top of the driveway.  My only complaint is there was what I considered a large amount of plastic and other debris in the topsoil. I didn't know what to expect but I didn't think there would be plastic and other stuff in the dirt. We had removed the large bushes in front and on the side of our house and needed topsoil so we could plant flowers and new bushes. This was my first time purchasing topsoil so I didn't know how much it would be.  Next time I will get a tarp or plastic to cover the mound before the dirt is delivered since it rained earlier than I expected.  Everything worked out though.

,I built a new home in the Willows Bend subdivision in Loveland.  I walked my property with Dave Hafner and explained to him what I wanted to do, where I wanted patios, walls and walks.  Dave provide recommendations on the types of plants that would work best given our location and the sun exposure on the various sides of my home, and as well as the size and location of my patios.  The finished landscape exceeded my expectations and Dave made my landscape vision a reality.  I would highly recommend Dave Hafner & Sons for your landscape project.  He is very professional, knows what trees, shrubs, and plants will thrive in our area, and provides tremendous value for the price paid.

Overall, the experience was great.  It was my second time ordering.  The first time I ordered, everything went very smoothly.  The second time I ordered I spoke with someone who I think was new and eager to help, but they had to call me back.  Unfortunately, they didn't call back  so I called again the next day, they apologized and I had my order in.  Delivery was great and right on time.  The product is awesome.

We purchased yards of black, dyed mulch.  This was the first time we used this company.  We will use them again.  We were pleased with the mulch and timliness of their delivery.  Most impressive though was their response to an issue we had at the time of delivery.  They immediately said they would correct the issue and responded pleasantly and promptly - no hassles, whatsoever - wonderful to work with.    We were very  satisfied with this company

H Hafner provided an excellent quality black dyed hardwood mulch - about 6 yards - to our house.  They were prompt, called to confirm that day, and the driver was very friendly and courteous.   I've been very impressed with the quality of the mulch.  It will be nice to see if it maintains its black color over the winter.   Highly recommend these folks.

The office staff was very responsive and quiet helpful. I believe the price I paid was quiet fair. The delivery driver was very responsive and he offered advice on placing the product to lighten my labor. The product is excellent. The only issue I had was the delivery occurred 2.5 hours after the agreed upon timeframe. The office did call me several times to inform me of the status of the tardy deivery. I would definitely purchase from Hafner again and I would recommend their products to my friends.
