Very professionally

It was in the Summer, I don't know if it was July or August 2014. He was the low bid. It was cost effective. If there's any comment on it, He's, again, another, pretty much a soul prioter, he brings in help when he needs. The punctuality was really kind of the issue. It was an issue of completing the job, taking longer to complete the job, him juggling jobs and saying oh he's going to be here and me calling him and saying where are you and him saying oh I said I was going to be here then and or hey I've got this problem at this other job I need to finish this and then I'll be over to you. That all adds into the punctuality. What does one mean by professionalism?, I mean he doesn't show up, you know, in a uniform, he doesn't have a nice clean truck with his company name on the side, but when you talk to him there is no doubt the guy knows stuff so he looks a little rough around the edges but, you know, if professionalism is all, you know, there's, a lot of people can appear to look professional and their not so he didn't look it but he certainly, he looked like he'd be, he didn't look all tidy and clean but he didn't look all rough and tumble.

It pains me a little to write this because I really like Brian. I just don't like (what comes across as) his lack of motivation to get the job started. We had him come out in late April for an estimate. He's a great guy and was here about 1 1/2 hours. It took 2 weeks to get an estimate by mail and by that time, we thought he'd forgotten about us or didn't want the job so we'd already had 2 mote people come out for a bid. Brian's estimate was competitive, however, and again we liked him, so we decided it was a fluke in timing and we'd hire him. I called him and told him we'd like him to do the work. Brian replied by saying that was great and asked if I minded if he came out to "do a refresher" on the work he was doing. He was here about an hour, albeit looking around and obviously thinking through the job, but then leaving with, "I'll send an estimate in the next few days.." I was confused by that, but accepted the delay despite being a little frustrated by it. Two days later Brian called and asked if he could have another guy come look at the insulation job, to which I said yes and asked when. Brian replied, "Now. Like, less than 5 minutes." I looked out front of our house to find the guy was already there, which was fine, just surprising. So he looked around too and left after about 10 minutes. I texted Brian later that evening asking when I might get the estimate as I really wanted to get the work started and as of now, over 12 hours later, still no response. We really liked the concept of his company and we really wanted to hire him, but it's been so grueling trying to get past an estimate that we're concerned the work would take too long to complete or never get completed.

They were excellent. They did more than what they quoted. I just appreciated that the owner was training someone new and they were just very, very thorough. They explained to me why these things are needed to be done. They're a good company and they were great.

Brian is a good guy who is nice to work with and responsive.

He is very knowledgeable. He keeps up on his craft and his field. He did a very nice job on the insulation on our home. He provided service, did a nice job. He takes time to explain things to you and hires people that know what they are doing.
