Overall, I was very satisfied with Maury's work; he was very professional and extremely clear about what he found during the inspection. Given that the property is almost 100 years old, his insight as to the condition of the home was extremely useful in completing our negotiations for purchase. Maury was prompt in meeting me at the property. He was very thorough in his inspection of the home, and pointed out several areas of concern or where repairs may be needed, and provided suggestions on how and why these things could be addressed. He also provided recommendations for general maintenance of this home which I found helpful. There was an area that was not visible during our initial inspection. Maury went back out to the property (at no additional charge) to inspect that area a few days later after the area was made visible by the seller. His report was very complete, including both words and pictures to describe the condition of the property.

Mr. Maury Drummy was the inspector for this company and he did an excellent job of inspecting the home we wanted to purchase. He arrived on time and took about four hours do to the inspection. He found things that definitely needed to be repaired which were not obvious to us during our walk through such as improperly installed vents. He went through the home methodically inside and out. Afterwards, he discussed his evaluation in detail answering any and all questions. When asked, he also offered suggestions on how the home could be improved, such as how to best widen a bedroom door for a wheelchair. His written evaluation (copies sent email and regular mail) was very detailed including a complete summary of items that were marginal and defective with photos. We would not hesitate to hire this company again knowing that our money was well spent. He also recommended radon and termite inspectors, we used the services of both these companies and were very pleased with the results.

You cannot go wrong hiring Maury Drummey to do your home inspection. He is insanely thorough, and writes up a fabulous report complete with photos, problem areas circled with arrows, and color coded text that alerts you to things that need attention. He is a little more expensive than others and does not include termite inspection but does give an Angie's List discount. He is always available to answer your follow up questions. He is a PRO.

We have used Maury to inspect 3 different homes. He is punctual, efficient, courteous, and thorough. He has saved us a lot of money with the things that he has found. He gets into every nook and cranny. But let me make this clear as well, he carefully explains to you the importance of the things he finds. Think about your own home, and the various "little" things that might give pause to a buyer. Maury tells you what matters, how something might be fixed, and whether you might choose to let something go until you get around to fixing it. After the inspection, he emailed a complete report. On this last house, it was 17 pages long. It detailed everything good or bad. When things were bad, he had photos to document it written into the report. Trust me and the others who have written reviews before me.

Mr. Drummey is first rate. He performed his inspection in stages, and after he performed each stage, he carefully explained what he observed, including showing photos for roof areas and other areas we didn't see. He showed up on time and then emailed his report that night, calling to make sure we received it. In two days, we received his receipt and a thank you note. Mr. Drummey is extremely thorough, very professional, and knows what he's doing. We wouldn't call anyone else.

I called on Wednesday. He was just returning from vacation. He was able to get me in on that Friday. I find his performance exceptional. I have had home inspections done in Texas and Washington. No one has done a more through job. No one has provided a more comprehensive report. No one has shown the willingness to explain the results so that my wife and I understood completely. No one has showed the type of support he has offered after the sale. Based on his inspection, the original builder has said that they owe us some more weep holes. They are willing to have their brick layer come and put weep holes in the places that they can access without tearing off brick. His inspection takes a while. His explanations are long. Realtors may think that he is a nit picker. He works for you. He gives you want you should expect and makes the whole experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him to both family and friends.

Overall I think he did a great job. I booked the appointment with him on Friday for the next Monday. At the time of booking he also suggested a termite inspection company. He was wonderful to explain things to me for simple understanding. His report was very clear and direct with pictures. (The summary at the end was extra clear.) He did mention one thing to me during the inspection that was not noted on the report. I called him after I noticed it and within 10 minutes I had a letter to support what we had spoken about. I should also mention that he emailed the report to me the same day as the inspection.

I contacted Maury on a Monday morning and, fortunately, he was able to schedule our appointment for that afternoon. He also provided some names of companies that could do a termite inspection. Maury met me at the property and spent three full hours performing an interior and exterior home inspection. After he inspected each area, Maury explained his findings to me, showed me any areas of concern and asked if I had any questions. He was very informative and approachable. The following morning, before I left for work, I received an electronic copy of the inspection report (18 pages complete with photos)! The report was organized and very easy to understand. I contacted Maury with a few questions and he explained everything to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this company.

Maury was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Very willing to answer any questions and offer practical advice during and after the inspection. Ranks findings into categories (based on seriousness of "defects", etc). Provided a comprehensive 16-page report via e-mail on same day with pictures and color-coded categories. Process took about 2 hours for 1-1/2 story older Cape Cod (does not include termites/septic inspections).

Maury was so completely thorough! The inspection took almost 3.5 hours and he really inspected everything! He found a potentially major problem that could have been a major expense if we had to pay for it by ourselves instead of asking the current owners to fix. He took photos of the problems and provided them with the entire inspection report the next day via email. Before joining Angie's List, I couldn't find one person who would recommend their home inspector to us. Now, I have one that I will be referring to anyone who asks!

Maury was excellent, very thorough and no nonsense. He told us everything he saw about the house down to the smallest detail, and took his time explaining what he'd found. He also made suggestions on how certain areas could be repaired and on how to maintain the condition of our new home after purchase. We were extremely pleased at his service.

If I can sum up the inspection in one word, ''professional'' would easily be my top choice. For example, Maury called me 30 minutes prior to our appointment to let me know he would be 5 minutes late due to a morning inspection. The inspection format was thorourgh, concise, and exceptionally well organized. Maury clearly communicated exactly what would and would not be inspected, systematically inspected the house one section at a time (e.g. outdoors, detached garage, 1st floor, 2nd floor, basement, HVAC, plumbing and electrical), and then walked us through each section explaining each point he inspected and his findings before moving on to the next. The inspection was incredibly comprehensive, as he pointed out defects as small as dripping hose spigots. He inspected the home from approximately 3-6pm, and we had the report (including pictures) by 9am the following morning. Working with Maury was a wonderful experience, and I'd gladly recommend him to family and friends.

Maury seemed to do a great job. He was direct and to the point as well as detail oriented. He was very timely and his report was concise. He was very willing to answer questions during and even days after the inspection was over. There were a few areas in the house that he was unable to inspect due to physical obstructions, etc. Overall he did a very good job. Would recommend him to others.
