The salesperson arrived promptly and was professional and polite. The estimate, however, was almost twice that of two other companies to replace 2 large windows ($3100 compared to $1600). He said their windows were higher quality but that's just too much of a difference. So we hired someone else.

We needed replacement windows. After speaking to four companies, we decided Gilkey was the right choice. Brian Schamel was great to work with and answered all of our questions. Appreciated his knowledge and no pressure approach. Bill and his assistant did a great job of installing and answering any questions we had and was very thorough on showing the mechanics of the window and with the clean-up.

Everything went fine. They've been around for a long time. They did what they said and the windows look good. They were competitively priced.

Everything went smoothly, overall. The customer service representative, Shawn, was friendly, knowledgeable and not too "pushy." He carefully demonstrated the product, gave us the options and provided information on various discounts and plans. Unlike the other window company that we were considering, he followed up with us, after about a week. After we signed the contract, final measurements were scheduled and performed in a timely fashion. The windows were manufactured, installation was scheduled and a four-man team got it done in less than 5 hours on a cold January day. Shawn came over that afternoon to inspect the job and answer any questions. The clean up appeared to be thorough. All-in-all, an excellent experience!

I was really happy with them. They were excellent because they were in and out. They got in here and got going. They also got the work done and it was perfect. They didn't have to come back. If need be, then I would use their services again. I was very happy with their service and I got the best for the money that I paid. My heat bills went down after installing the windows and it's been a big improvement in my house.

We thought they had a good product and they were local. We went to their showroom and everything went together the way we wanted.

They were prompt in coming out to provide a quote and the actual repair crew was punctual and professional. They were careful to clean up after themselves. They were also very careful not to damage any of the painted trim around the new window. My only frustration was the 8 week lead time to get the new window. Apparently picture windows are made to order and are not kept in stock.

The experience was great. The windows used are high-quality, custom-made for the house. We had to wait several weeks for installation, but this was not a problem. The workers did a superb job of installing the windows and did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work was completed. We were concerned about the look of replacement windows on our house. Gilkey matched the color of the exterior of the windows to the color of the house, right down to the little strips of trim. The windows look like they've always been here. Fantastic!

The crew showed up on time on the date scheduled. They worked quickly & efficiently, completing the project in just 1 day. We are thrilled that our new windows are free from drafts, work properly & look great too!

Fantastic. Our old windows were out and the new ones installed within 5 hours by two installers. We love them! Our house faces a southerly direction, so it gets very hot in the summer. In the winter, our house has always been chilly. We noticed the difference right away. We are looking forward to a reduced energy bill too!

They came out and gave a quote and then they replaced all of our windows. The man that came out was very thorough and incredibly professional. He took time to explain everything including pricing. We had three people come out and give quotes, but we went with this company. They did a great job of cleanup . THe installation team did a great job, they worked quickly and professionally.

They gave me an estimated and it was right on the dollar. They were great. They were knowledgeable. They showed up at the time they said they would. The workman were professional and could answer all my questions. I had a problem with the screen door and they were responsive to my call to come back. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

I have always had Gilkey, and they have always been on time and courteous. The salesman I had took his time to explain it and didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. He told me if I changed my mind in anyway to give him a call and he would be happy to make changes for me. He never tried to upsell or push anything additional. They've always done a good job.

I called the service department to schedule some adjustments on 3 windows that were hard to shut. There was also one casement window that had a broken handle. The service rep was very nice. She set the appointment and took down every detail. She informed me there would be no charge since the windows were still under warranty. Greg Coffee was our technician. He was absolutely fabulous. He arrived on time and listened while I showed him the windows that needed adjusting. He fixed the three windows I called about, and also checked and lubricated every window in the room (there are 10). Greg asked me to check all the windows before he left to make sure I was satisfied. He did such a great job. There was no mess and all the windows work beautifully. We are so happy with the follow-up service. It is so nice to work with a company that stands behind it's products.

Very happy with their thoughtfulness to keep my house clean during the process and they worked very quickly. They didn't take any breaks. I also wanted to save my old windows for another project so they were careful in removing them and stored them where I asked.

They were very prompt and courteous. They listened to all of our questions along the way through each step. They were very patient as well as they answered our questions. I've already been able to notice the difference this summer. They were very clean and picked up after themselves.

Crew arrived on time and completed the job professionally with no problems.

The windows were well done, and actually even after they installed the windows they were able to come back and fix some of my older windows which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend them.

It was a very good experience. They were very helpful. It took two days to do it, and the servicemen were great. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards for the most part.

Listened carefully to my goals and current concerns. Measured carefully. Made instantaneous supplemental vendor collaborative calls. Talked through the various options and timing. Gave what appeared to be a very good price. Shared that they have good Angie's List entries already. Gave excellent personal service and objective evidence of his professional observations and shared about the neighbors windows done by "cold calling outfit" that subs out their actual installs. Very astute and friendly. Conditions permitting maybe using them for the future work.

They were very clean, prompt, and did exactly what they said they would do. The price matched the estimate.

I don't remember having any issues with them. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves. They worked very quickly and they were prompt and professional. They had the whole job done in 1 or 2 days maximum.

Salesman Eric Cone did very good job of explaining the technical aspect (design/construction) of the patio door system manufactured at the Gilkey facility. Answered all questions to my satisfaction. Once we ordered the doors (with custom glass), the order was completed and ready for installation in the 6-7 week quoted lead time. Installer, Greg, did the install on his own and his 20 years of install experience with Gilkey showed. He was very cordial and just as Eric Cone, answered any questions about the installation process. The day after the install took place, Eric called to confirm my satisfaction. He saved me a call as I noticed that the caulking on the outside strike jamb separated and a small section of the interior "felt" weatherstripping came out of it's track. Eric sent e-mail to service dept and I received a call after the Christmas holiday. Service tech (Chris?) came out and repaired all. Currently the active door hitting up against inactive leaf obstruction.

They are an excellent company to deal with.

Mr. Bass came to our home and gave a presentation and sales pitch. Unfortunately the windows were 20% more expensive than comparable windows using a national U-value rating clearinghouse. Gilkey clearly has a premium window with an excellent reputation and warranty. For the estimated cost of $10,000, I think I can have a handyman on retainer for a decade.
