+ -1 moreWe have previously had two large custom homes constructed for us, so we have substantial personal experience with residential construction. Without question, Gerbus Remodeling's major renovation of our home in Wyoming, Ohio was the best residential construction experience we have had.or could imagine. The project began in late August 2015 with land clearing and demolition of the interior and exterior walls and finished surfaces and completed in mid-March 2016. Throughout the interval, there was rarely a day when work did not progress on our project, and every trade type performed professionally, with dedication and very high quality. Anyone planning a significant home remodel or renovation should request a quote from Gerbus Remodeling. In spite of some significant in-progress changes that we required, Walt Gerbus and his team responded to make the result exactly what we wanted.
Description of Work: Gerbus Remodeling completed an extensive, whole house renovation that included significant new construction to increase the size of the house, including a new kitchen, expanded dining area, reconfiguration of three small bedrooms into two larger ones, addition of a new master bath en suite, remodeling of another bathroom, refinishing a basement walkout into a recreation room with an adjoining half bath, installation of all new HVAC throughout, complete re-roofing, and construction of a new front porch and an outdoor kitchen with patio. All exterior siding was replaced, and all interior surfaces were resurfaced, new natural gas services and plumbing services and fixtures were installed, new electrical services and lighting fixtures were installed, and all new woodwork and custom cabinetry was installed throughout. The existing foundation was exposed and new drainage installed and moisture barriers applied to all exterior surfaces of the foundation. The primary gray water drainage lines were excavated and replaced out to the public drain lines.

+ -1 moreWe worked with Alan Gerbus to build our new home. Start to finish he was amazing! Very detail and quality oriented. His contractors had nothing but positive things to say and all enjoyed working for him. Any concerns we had as the project went on, he had already noticed and addressed. If something wasn't done correctly he would have the work redone. During the design phase, several times he came back to us not happy with where the design was going as he did not feel it was what we were looking for. He would make suggestions to the design to get it where he knew we wanted to be. Every contractor we met was great and did a great job. We had NO STRESS building with Alan and felt completely comfortable working with him. You hear all kinds of things about building a house, how you have to be on the contractor every step of the way, constantly watching out for things, etc. Not so with Alan, he was on top of everything! We would HIGHLY recommend building with him. Excellent work and experience!

+ 0 moreThey took time to do a good temporary patch - they didn't just hang some plastic and weight it down with bricks.
Description of Work: After the hurricane force winds ripped some siding off my house they came and put up a temporary fix for me. Normally they do not do roofing/siding work, but they pitched in to help out the homeowners in my area during a time of crisis. Walt told me what I could expect price wise for the actual repairs that needed to be done and said he would send me a bill for his temporary patch. That was 10 days ago, and I still have not seen a bill from him.

They also had good working relationships with high quality contractors (IE: painters, plumbers, electricians, etc...).
